    I also really love Eiyuden Chronicles as well but I definitely have my fair share of critiques since I think there's quite a bit that I want to talk about. I'll label some pros / cons to balance it out a little bit.
    CONS
    -Story: Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy the overall story but it certainly doesn't have that darker edge the Suikoden games had in their stories. So I would like to see the sequel have more narrative weight to it and raise the stakes higher.
    -Character Balance and Lack Of Customization: There's an odd issue with some characters that are just not good to use in battle at all. It especially sucks if there's a character you like but can't use because their rune lense setup is just way too restrictive that there's basically no room to improve their use. To fix this, I think they should allow the characters to still have their dedicated roles but allow us to improve characters by giving them more options to skills, passive skills, and even magic.
    SP/Magic System: Magic in this game feels almost useless and way too situational. There's only a few characters that truly do benefit from having magic and can use it effectively.
    Granted, it's possible to make use of magic but the issue once again links back to the rune lense system because some characters can't take advantage of equipping high level runes.
    Not only that, but the MP cost to use more offensive magic simply just isn't worth in the early game outside of healing or buff because offensive magic does pitiful damage and it never changes. So for magic, just let certain characters be able to equip all levels of different magic so that they can have equal use.
    As for the SP system, my only real issue with it is how you don't get to keep any of the remaining SP you have in battles. While there are some accessories that can sorta mitigate the issue, this should just be a gameplay feature that applies to all instead of being an accessory. Atleast it would be easier for characters to have their skills be used quicker than having to constantly wait for characters to get a decent amount of SP to act.
    -Beigoma and Cooking: These mini games are easily the worst in the entire game to me. Not because they're bad since I do think they're just okay, the biggest issue is how they're tied to an overly long sidequest that I really didn't care for just to recruit two characters.
    I don't mind having a little sidestory but these were dragged out longer than they needed it to be. So I would say if they made it so you get that character by doing the mini game maybe four or five times and have it be a short but sweet sidequest, then that would be alot better.
    PROS
    The Attendant system seems so small but is such a genius mechanic in a game where you have to utilize so many different characters. The only thing I would do to improve it is to make it so that we can put optional characters in and be able to freely switch them in battle.
    -Battle Gimmicks: I think this is a pretty cool mechanic to keep for major boss fights and it does feel rewarding to use them.
    -Character interactions: This is something that Suikoden has done pretty well but I really appreciate how certain characters in Eiyuden feel a little more personally interconnected with each other even if they don't have big roles. I just would like to see more of that in the sequel and also have returning characters for their stories to be updated too. Which helps creates some familiarity for people who played the first entry.
    2.5D Visuals: I personally love how they incorporated the mixture of 2D pixie art and 3D environments. I would say they just improve things like the lighting and polish up some textures like in the overworld.
    I'll also add in a few things that I would personally like to see in the sequel
    -Post game dungeons
    -Optional Boss fights in the overworld throughout the game
    -More unqiue character interactions similar to skits or PAs like in Tales/Star Ocean
    -Keep Hard difficulty options for different runs
    -Keep the NG+
    That's pretty much all I got for now. Overall, love the game but there's always room for improvement.

    Things to improve:
    1. Technical issues - Can easily be fixed upon patches but hopefully the sequel have less bugs and loading times
    2. Localization - I know its blown out of proportion but people would prefer a more accurate translation than localization.
    3. Music - Pretty decent but didn't stuck me like it did with Suikoden, and that includes Suikoden IV. Rabbit & Bear can pick better composers that suits the series better like Yamane Michiru or better yet, Miki Higashino if they can convince her to compose music for games again.
    4. Story - What people loved about Suikoden is that it was not afraid to go kill someone important in the story. This game went the safe route where deaths only occur on bad ending
    5. Gameplay - I prefer if they go away with the random encounters especially if its gonna take 2-5 seconds every battle transitions. Need to balance out gameplay because the party positioning is pretty much useless because enemies with melee attacks can just attack anyone including the back row. Rune Lenses also felt inferior to the Rune System of Suikoden. It felt a little complicated and less rewarding at the same time. Hopefully, they do more magic combos

      Point 5 is well-taken! The fact that enemy can just jump over the front lane to our rear lane defeats the purpose of front and rear lane We place them in the rear so that our front line can protect them 😅

      People saying they want a "more accurate translation" are literally just asking for basically broken English dialogue in the game that will largely not make sense. Uhh, no thanks lol.

      @@fullmetalb5241 uhhh not really? People just want a more faithful translation/localization with less forced materials that actually change the character from what they actually should've been. Lian is the easiest example. She was supposed to be portrayed as an unreliable but cheerful senior. In the dub, her dialogue made her more of an obnoxious girl who spews out slangs whenever possible.

      Sorry, but random encounters are fun, they gotta stay. I don't know where this modern idea that they should be a toggle on/off thing came from but its got to stop.

    Absolutely agreeing on the heavier story bit. Who else was kinda disappointed we didn't have a single "battlefield littered with bodies" scene or "Can't enter, everyone dead" town (Yarnaan was largely evacuated) in the game?

    Great video. I was nervous with my final thoughts on the game as i was not as high on the gane as i thought id be but its good to see we can be fans without being fan boys.

    I would love to see a few things to make it simpler, yet better on the system/story/gameplay
    There would be a few things I would throw out and use less of. QoL is a big must. Modernization is also a big must. While I love the nostalgia. Reminding me of the days of flipping that PS console cover and placing the CD inside. Waiting on the PS logo and Sound. Sitting on the couch and in my first apartment, loading up the game to play Suikoden. Eiyuden 2 now needs to become on its own.
    Here is my list of Modernizations and changes
    ****************************************
    Battle system:
    (Balance would be easier due to the number of heroes).
    Like you said unique abilities Between 1 to 3 that open up over leveling (Skill tree). Elektra for example, should have had a fencing animation. (I mean just placing the boring thrust/feint on her that's all, was disappointing) to counterbalance this. They would still focus on physical runes (Double beat/Crit/M.Sword) to boost abilities or normal hits
    SP System could still tie to this system cost more SP for bigger abilities or Boosting other abilities
    Example
    Elektra
    Unique Ability
    Flèche
    Attack (unique animation)
    DMG type/chance to stun/feint
    SP Cost: 2
    Rune Boost if possible
    Double Beat/Crit/Power/M.sword
    Magic base (Fire/Earth/Dark). The SP system could still all be tied to this Along with the Rune system (see: Rune System Below). This would also reduce spending too much time in the runes to slot and figure out how to optimize heroes.
    Another thing I would have done is if they were gonna make MP hard to refill. I would have cut down on the cost of spells. Used the SP system to boost spells as an option and a slight increase to MP for every boost.
    Fran
    Water rune
    Spell: Water Drop
    MP Cost: 8/16/32/64/128
    SP cost: 0/1/2/3/4/5
    Heal: 40/80/120/160/200

    Rune System:
    I would have made the Rune Lens be 3/4 slots like Suikoden and Based on the type of hero then focused on
    Skill Tree Slot Rune (Special Rune for that hero, that has a skill tree)

    Magic Runes (Fire/Earth/Dark)
    The SP system could still all be tied to this. This would also reduce sending too much time in the runes to slot and figure out how to optimize heroes.

    Party Battle:
    Agreed to make the environment actually mean something. Add in random elements that affect the party and mob Good and Bad.
    Have rocks to hide behind, Trees to attack from (use abilities to do this) Weather to affect. (fog causes 1/2 sight or reduces the range of the hero). The special random battles are a must aka special mobs
    Gimmicks are a must. They must also happen in random battles. Make it rare for them to show up except in boss battles where they need to be when needed.
    Shifting of battles for Boss battles as they go on in the fight for background like they did with Duels

    Duels:
    While I heavily enjoyed Duels and the epic-ness of it. I want more control. Time to ditch the R/P/S method in a sense.
    The idea would be the same as a party battle.
    Attack
    Magic
    Items
    ....
    Then include
    Counter
    Magic Counter
    ....
    (Make these when they get to Low HP)
    Break
    Magic Break
    Keep the visual style though to give it the epic feel and keep the shifting around the field

    War battles:
    Going to be honest here.
    While it was cool to see the light total war system and all. I agree not being able to shift around commanders much or squads was saddening. I think a good system would have been the Suikoden 2 Eiyuden mix. Also, it felt boring, and knowing you couldn't lose units was a bummer and made me not care much
    Have them in squads as before like S2. and when the battle comes then you see the fight in in action. this could be the visuals like Eiyuden. But I want to see my heroes in the squad, not some random unit characters
    Example would be
    Reyna Squad could focus on Shields
    units would have shields on them to keep the enemy at bay
    While archers or magic users use magic on them.
    You see them visually
    Special units would be MC units. If attacked it would go to a type of battle like Suikoden 3 did, a Party battle, with limited turns
    ***************************************
    Exploration:
    The overworld was awesome and beautiful. But why oh why not encourage the exploration. Hidden caches or mini-dungeons. Meet a random NPC. See life on the land itself. I would love to see special mobs roaming the land. Special Boss battles. I want to explore and see things. Give me those reasons to do so. Bigger Overworld! Let me run around
    LOOT BOSSES like SUIKODEN 3. respawn over time
    ************************************
    HQ system:
    The HQ architect was a great idea though. I think the system is done very well and will on grow over time. Few things to make it easier though
    Does need a roster Section to HQ, like the tablet/enlistment list would be great. Skip the tree system. just give me a listing on the screen and some art with descriptions. Trying to navigate the HQ system was inconvenient and time-wasting.
    What I would like to see grow is actually having input into resources. I'll use 3 examples
    Farms/Ranch, Let me specialize my crops/animals, what do I want the farm to focus on to grow
    What do I want my Ranch to Specialize in Cows or Sheep?
    Sellers, Let me tailor what I want to focus on. Do I want better equipment, with slightly better stats? then I should be able to Focus on that while not Focusing on other Sellers.
    Or Maybe i want better items. I would focus on tool Shop would up the potion ratio of hp items
    Guilds, Let me actually open Restaurant in other towns. (possible to buy small buildings to get profit over time. Or a merc Guild to see what resources an area provides or defend against random encounters cutting down random fights in the area.
    **********************************
    Story:
    Now that we got the start of something. It's really time to slow it down and focus on the dark stuff and serious tone. (I agree with what you said) Suikoden 1 was light-hearted, But Suikoden 2 got darker. Let's get there. Is it time to jump to another region? I say nay or yay but.. This could be a Trails-style game. they could continue Nowa/Seign/Marisa for a couple of Sequels. making a trilogy. continue to build up the HQ into an actual Kingdom or not. open up a few more regions to explore in the world. Then go onto another set of heroes and explore those regions. So much potential here.
    Localization side note.
    While I don't like to argue and get too much into this. As I can understand both sides. I will say no need for memes to be in the script. Let keep it base and focused. Also, keep the character aligned to what they are. Other than that... that's all I got to say on that. I enjoyed the game immensely and still thought the script was done well and I understood the story.

    Minigames:
    Fishing (good try, but need life that is all, Sounds make the difference). Also, a little bit of participation goes a long way
    Let me fight the fish a bit.
    Cooking.
    This game ugh... First off visually after 3 of them, it was boring. Let me see what they are actually cooking. I'm making Soup, then I see that Soup Pot
    But if I'm making omelets then i need to see that egg pan and mixings. Doesn't need great detail.
    MC's participation was dull. give me choices to help
    cut veg, or stir, etc., etc.
    DO NOT LOCK Hero behind the minigame so far in.
    Also, one thing I would have loved to see in this is able to mini-recruit the cooks to expand the restaurant or to help in the mini-game. like back end cooks
    In the next game, give it its own building lol
    Beigoma, I love the game, but it does get boring over time. I would love to see the board change. Actual NPC and not limited to the 5, not the boring pictures to play against
    Spinner Shop/combined with Find Rare Ones would have been awesome - or maybe a key item to capture the mob to make them spinners
    Card Game. It was fine, just make it grow a bit. More cards. Environmental cards could change the game as it goes on.

    Town Shops and Towns
    Trade Shop: Better rumors. Rare trade items?
    Tool Shop: Less CD on rare items. Rumors NPC to rare items
    Armor Shop and Rune Shops were fine, maybe add Rare items to it.
    Towns themselves seemed overpopulated to some and underpopulated to others. Give some more life to towns

    Game System and Menus:
    Rune system, just simplify it to 3/4 slots focused on what the hero is made for. SP system is Perfect as is just tie it to runes a bit more
    The Stat menu needs to be its own Section. The rune/Skill menu needs to be its own Section Everything else seemed fine, would love to see a better Bio Section
    Allow SP to be used on Skill Trees and Magic/Abilities Boosting
    Remove the delays on menus, is a must
    Party Section 6 man is perfect. 1-2 Support 3 attendees were great.
    Allow them to be switched up at save points and allow attendees to earn 1/2 or 1/4 exp

    Audio/Music:
    Music is beautiful. Hope they keep the composer for 2. But make each town feel different. The same music for that area was getting old
    More battle music, change it up for random battles
    Boss battle music was on point
    Environment Audio
    This was the worst offender here. No environment sounds. No steps sound. No tree sway/wind. No bugs... nothing
    This can make or break a lot of dullness in exploring (especially when you don't have a lot to do)

      Sprint button. The end
      (balance to this stamina you can sprint a distance)
      Dash Boots Remove the stamina
      Key item (no need to equip it)
      Speed up battle or skip animation/ shorten animation option
      No menu delay in the battle menu
      Better skipping on text and auto-filling. and be consistent.
      Darker Outlines on sprites
      Inventory system
      Ditch that old system
      I can still see keeping the slot bag 30-70 to control for balance but
      allow 99 stacks or more on items. Not the 6/6 or 4/4
      Honestly, Suikoden 4 had it right on inventory
      Exp items
      Encounter items
      Money items
      Dash items
      All these need to be key items
      One thing to balance this is to allow us to pick what items we want to use in the key items and limit it
      make it 3 choices
      everyone is affected by those 3 choices
      I could list more that take up so much time lol

      My special request
      Mystery Dungeon
      While I enjoyed it, there was some stuff I would have loved to see
      1) make it an actual dungeon with camps as the breaker, you can leave before camp but that resets the dung to the previous camp
      2) limit the run to how far in the story you are
      you don't see bosses you haven't fought in the story in Dung till after you beat them
      3)Rare bosses?
      4)Rare NPC shops
      5)Exp balance to a point or till you beat the first run of Dungeon
      then on endless make the exp boost just go crazy per usual.

    Great sum up.
    I would also like the next MC to have a more believable background. It was just so stupid that Nowa, as a total newcomer, first became the captain of the team after just one mission and then a leader of an army for no reason. What made Suikoden realistic was that all the protagonists had a military background, or at least their position in society assumed that they had already earned some credit. But Nowa is just a dude from a very small village and a wannabe hero.

    Yeah, a lot of these changes whole make this the sequel a whole lot better. They have the engine, the battle system, the feedback (presumably), and I think they even know what they got wrong here. So, all these things are either minor tweaks or refinements R&B can work on. A solid analysis Kali-Q, we all should do our best to make sure this kind of information reaches the devs. Eiyuden Chronicle: Two-Hundred Heroes!

    I like that you can only save in a save points or in the Inn.
    Never had an issue with the bag capacity.
    I agree with the dash should not be occupying an item slot. They should just add an special item slot like in Y's series.
    Footsteps and other environmental sound effects can be improve.
    Repetitive mini game or special action to recruit a member, I can tolerate if it's for one powerful character.
    Music can be improve.
    I agree with the story, they should not shy away from darker themes.
    War battle is a mess. They should definitely improve it.

    This is spot on, and I agree with everything said in this video! One thing I really wish, and I know it's unlikely, is that they would have gone back to simpler times and used top-down 2D Sprite graphics throughout the game. If the game looked and felt like Suikoden 1 and 2, the fans would be going crazy for it! Focus on performance, story, game design, and characters, and don't worry about making amazing 3D graphics.

    i want more character cut scene you discover in your castle ... the only cutscene you get are the main party ones .. i want scene from other characters like mio and hakukin, sabine and her war buddy, Quinn and Dijkstra ... cause after recruiting characters they kinda fade out unlike suikoden you can see scenes like gengen dancing with his brother, the band playing songs, flik with his moments in the rooftop, characters drinking and taliking in the bar, spa interactions and many more to get to know more about them even just a little bit

      I agree! Once you recruit character, 90% of the time they just stand in their place doing nothing 🤣 (even Kurtz is just standing in front of his kitchen rather than cooking)

    Fully customizing the war battles and something that would be fun is character with hero combos put together during war would cause greater effect and if u put chracter that don't get along or something makes ur army weaker but u don't know unless trial and error

      @@kali-qgames1301 Would also love no "autofail" or "autowin" battles, and in fact would LOVE slightly branching storylines where there are consequences of losing battles that spawn a different chain of story events rather than a game over. Imagine the difference between a game where you get W after W the entire game versus one where you get beaten back and have to scrape your way to the top! Players would have different experiences depending on how the war battles go, without having losses be game overs, and give a sense of achievement for players who manage to out-think and out-prepare what would be an "autofail" battle normally because the story genuinely responds to that achievement!

    I'm near the end game, and I am STILL expecting Nowa to gain his unique Primal Lens.
    Seign lightning rush and Nowa searing blast (coolest moves in the game) made SP based. Whoever thought of making these , moves MP based Sucks.

    I was not bothered by the limited inventory mechanic. Having to pick and choose what you bring with you and what you leave behind (either at your base or in the world) is an approach that raises the stakes and forces the player to make interesting trade-offs. One thing I thought was weird, however, was that you couldn't return to Yarnaan after Dilhadhe was dead to clean out the revenants to make the town liveable again. Likewise, you couldn't clear the revenants in Arthabalt, which seemed strange to me.

    A couple more things I like to see is when you finish a area you can use save points to teleport between them.
    Also they should heal hp/mp or some of them can.
    Have the main hero have a spell rune that can't be removed and have its higher tier spells unlock as you progress in story.
    Also have spells be worth casting, most I felt were not very good.
    Tho I was mostly pleased with this game, really felt like a classic JRPG.

    Some things I'd like to see in a sequel would be a heavier toned story like you said, perma-death with characters in war-time battles, but also be able to see the status of every recruited character from the menu, not just when you are switching party members.
    Also, for characters able to fight, I'd like to see all of them be able to use the same amount of runes, but have each person have 1 or 2 unique attacks to that individual be that which is the deciding factor to use them. Some characters I just didn't use because they could only hold 4 runes whereas Nowa and Mellore could hold 7?
    Really enjoyed the game though, but I'd like to see improvements next time as well.

    I couldnt put a finger on it till you shined a light on the problem- Your absolutely right. The stakes in the game feel low. Suikoden would often "off" certain characters, or have them fall permenantly in battle if you werent careful, or betray you.....And these things made the conflict feel way more intense. I still believe Eiyuden is fantastic and worth the buy....But yes, they need to get a bit more serious and grim. Not EVERY character needs to be a clown or a weirdo.

    im still working on it,i was kinda suffering in certain puzzles and took waaay too much time figuring it out,disableing battles with mosters i can "let go" would have been nice.

    I totally agree with these, this game is about war, and a war without death or anything at stake doesnt sound like a war at all. They need step up their story telling a but more. They need to make sure the players are engaged and feels like there’s a lot of tragedy and at stake for the hero and thr companions.
    One thing i kinda dont agree with you is the skill tree, making a skill tree for 50 or so playable characters, though it can sound great, can also be very bad due to the fact that this is an indie game. It’s either the skill tree will be so simple or every character basically will just have the same skilltree which will remove the diversity and varieties of each characters, making it more of an inconvenience. What i think they should do is just, make every character that are playable in combat to be unique. Add more skills amd animation for every characters, they need to go deeper on combat system because it is the core of the game, add that with their character system that is unique to the series and they will go very well. They just need to add more special skills and runes for every characters. Something that will make is say “i like this character’s skills and abilities i want him on my party next time”. Because currently, though there are some varieties, many characters does the same thing like for example yusuke and galdorf amd the shark guys can all use charge. But yusuke is superior in stats so, the only reason to bring the others who does the same thing is just design preferrences lol.
    Another thing i want them to add is, day/night cycle. And like you said the weather system, this can also be used on recruitment requirements, battle system, exploiting weaknesses of enemies and also during war. Which will add more depth to the gameplay mechanics of the game. Can also be utilitize in HQ building, maybe a hurricane can destroy walls, so we have to constantly reinforce it or upgrade it to stonewalls etc.
    As for the war skirmishes, I also agree, more depth and customization of units. However, commanders should be fixed though and only certain characters should only be allowed to be commanders because everyone cant be one and this will add more depth and variety to the game.
    In conclusion, i like this game too and i wanna support it all the way. I feel like they played too safe with eiyuden and made a 1:1 copy of the old ones. R&b should start reading up critics of their game so they can improve the sequel an so they can be successful too and make money.

    Totally agree about the story needing a heavier tone. As for the QoL issues, I didn't have a problem with most of them. Sure the menu could be less sluggish and saving on the world map would be nice, but I didn't see an issue the the movement or battle speeds.
    I would love for the war battles to be on a larger field and with maybe a octagonal grid system to allow diagonal movement. The current system feels to confined with nearly no mobility.
    The rune system need a complete overhaul. It's too restricted with runes broken up into different categories and rarity levels, and characters being limited to only using certain types and levels. On top of that, magic runes felt useless. My mages were dishing out more damage with their physical attacks.

    Playing a bit more, I realized one thing that really bugged me, also: When a town was taken over, you never were truly locked out of it except in ONE case. As such, it never really felt the enemy was doing anything... If anything it made them less scary as it seemed they were incompetent. I remember in Suikoden games, you couldn't just 'return' to other places, even if you had Viki to teleport you around. Is it just me? Should things always be open?

    More missions where you have multiple groups simultaneously split off. This leverages the large amount of characters and would force you to use a larger amount of the characters more regularly.
    They also needed more optional character dialogue. It seems that only the required characters would chime in 95% of the time… Suikoden was more like 70-80%. Add in more of the occasional dialogue from characters that are in your part but not required for that mission.

    Im with your Points Kali.
    Little Moments were great in the Game..the whole Seign Story was very Intense..but the Rest..was a little to much a Book Story..the Time Jumps, the Moments in the Last Battles...

    The “trying to make it like old school” argument doesn’t hold water. Suikoden I wasn’t as old as people remember. It was 1995 RPG not 1991.
    Not saving on world map, not having better menu organization, dash speed, etc were already long normalized by 1995. After all 3D hit its boom in 97.

    Another issue for me was the sand racing. Now I'm terrible at racing games in general, but this one was near inoperable. If I used the analog sticks I would spin out and sink into the sand, helplessly trying to turn my ship in the right direction, but no matter what way I turned the ship, it would face every way except the direction of the course. I failed the race over and over until the shi'arc people just felt sorry for me and let me pass anyway. I never completed the actual course. Lord knows how I'll get the trophy for winning the optional races. Though I've been told the directional buttons work better.

    Overall I absolutely loved the game. Likely my favorite game of the year personally. That being said, my only three real gripes were 1. Story vs Access continuity. It felt really weird to have a story based on loss of access to territory then still let you go in and out of enemy controlled areas as if nothing happened. and 2. Although I don't think the UI was necessarily bad, it could be improved for sure with the most glaring issue being no way to view all your allies unless you were at a designated location. 3rd, Magic just did not seem very powerful or useful. Physical and Magic SP attacks was king. It seemed that MP was harder to maintain than HP and SP for sure, while spending it mostly netted you less damage anyway.

    Eiyudan Chronicles sold 120k+ in Japan after two weeks of sales. For all intents and purposes the game was a success in Japan.
    I loved the game all the way through. The only thing that bothered me was the arbitrary cut off point in recruiting Leene. I like to complete all the side content right before the final dungeon so it pissed me off that i collected every character and completed every sidequest/minigame after the point where i can recruit her.
    Other than that it was pure retro RPG bliss for me. I actually admire that they stuck to their guns and didnt make a lot of QoL changes.

    - Every character needs at least 2 unique Rune-Lens abilities. One medium ability and one ‘ultimate’ move unique to them. More balance or at least unique pros for minor characters. Also more hero combos.
    - Simple user experience tweaks: Dialogue history, Fast forward for cut scenes and battle, skipping battle animations, quest tracking for recruitment items.

    Before im watching this, these are my picks.
    Smoother menu: for now it feels so slow and same for the loading screens on the Xbox.
    War mechanics. It doesnt really give you an idea of what to do imho when you play them.
    Mini games to recruit characters should be a no no. I mean, doing quests to get items or so is fine. But some people may have a hard time getting an character cause maybe theyre not so good at said minigame.
    Rune system: alot of the runes feel useless and unnecessary. You just slap as much power runes on everyone except for your healers, they get hp rune and your done.
    Thanks for suiken for reminding me about the random battles. They need to be more smooth like attacking at the same time and more tempo in it.

    I felt that a few of the support characters could have been battle characters aswell as i will be brief, i only use about 3-4 of them during the whole game, i wanted the general, the axe lumber girl and prince to be battle characters

    Improvements for Eiyuden Chronicles that should be made a priority in 2.
    1. Customizable War Battles - keep presets but allow us to change those units and make our own preset loadouts. The current war battle system was fine but way too scripted and made to be cinematic, look at stuff like Unicorn Overlord, Suikoden 5, Fire Emblem and go from there since these are meant for us to use units we otherwise wouldn't.
    2. Duels are boring, use the suikoden 5 one - Again, it's just press attack simulator with incredible animation work and fight sequences. The suikoden 5 fight gave you 3 options that could be negated entirely by the enemy and a small timer to add tension to your decision it's perfect. I would say to follow or bring a similar system, if you want to keep break for story that's fine but make it outside of the attack/defend or counterattack/super move and we're set.
    3. Make spells stronger than magical auto attacks before the endgame.
    4. Begioma: If Begioma was a 5 trainer storyline this would be fine, but instead you had to battle random Begioma players who don't have the actual Begioma arena with them requiring either a guide or talking to everyone in every town again.
    I cheesed the Begioma system with clashes since I didn't want to wait till the direct end of the game to get good enough drops to handle the elemental begioma battlers.
    This was by far the most tedious and annoying minigame storyline in fiction it feels like for one character when 80% of the system revolves around getting good enough luck in charge up/attack up skill procs early and getting good begiomas.
    How to improve: Heavily reduce the number of required begioma battles and allow us to upgrade and buy begioma from a shop or making a character that builds them without relying on random encounters.
    5. Cooking - Cooking is fine
    If you go back to Cooking then you should be able to do it in 2.5 - 4 hours since a new challenger approaches every 10 minutes so it's really just making Cooking a part of your base routine.
    But this could've easily been downscaled to 5 - 10 Cooking battles since they're about as exciting as watching paint dry. Even though you could theoretically beat the Begioma trainers faster than the Cooking minigame it turned out better because it was just a press A simulator focusing on what your character's favorite tastes and bias were instead of actually cooking good meals with any other system.
    Begioma was a chore that made itself hard for being too grindy and inability to cheese.
    Cooking was a chore since the system was overly simplified that you'll quit from boredom instead of frustration.
    To improve cooking, let us make a cooking team that specializes in types of foods and score based on quality over biased judges and obviously decrease the number of challengers.
    6. Card Game - This is great
    Was it annoying buying every character card from a gacha? Yeah but at least you knew it would be a matter of time or upgrading
    The card game took some amount of actual thinking to play and its crazy to me that the most mind numbing minigames like begioma and cooking were given so much development when the card game was significantly more useful.
    I think the card game is the one where I would've openly accepted a 5 part character arc or 20 duels.
    Is this an endorsement of that? No, but this is an example of a game where you gave the player the ability to improve themselves through cash and engaging gameplay (the only recruitment was buying a ton of cards tbh)
    If the recipes and begioma were buyable it would've made the whole experience more palpable for players.
    7. Attendants - Why Eiyuden?
    The attendant system is great because you can backseat story related characters to have your own team.
    Are there segments where you have 4+ story based characters and thus require at least one on the team? Yeah but those are rare or normally include Noah which most players just slap dash boots on and call it a day since he's the main character.
    So why do I dislike it? Because in Suikoden 5 they had the same system with the main difference being you could swap in and out your attendants with the main party while still locking story based characters.
    The attendant slots in eiyuden are ONLY for story based characters when we could've easily just had 3 extra slots of characters to switch in and out during the game and the player makes the distinction on whether or not they should story based ones in those slots.
    Balancing isn't even an argument since Cassandra one of our first recruitable characters allows you to swap in and out the main party at save points. This is definitely my biggest pet peeve of the game when it wants you to use these characters.
    I have read some points on giving the attendants passive exp which I'm all for but just giving us those extra slots with the freedom to do with as we want outside of story segments was a pretty big oversight and waste of space.
    8. Running/Inventory/Misc -
    Everyone knows the running is bad please don't lock early game dash boots in an abandoned mine that only a select number of players like me are going to try and search every chest for goodies to find. You do not need to add a character that doubles speed just because the base speed is bad for exploring big dungeons or your own city since we don't have waypoints to every single shop or location in it.
    We do not need to be told how perfect of a teleporter she is, just make it happen the first 5 - 10 times or one in 5 times.
    The inventory is fine, the main issue is you can't even increase it till the endgame or give yourself a character to improve it.
    Minor tangent - Suikoden 5 "attendant" slots also served as extra support slots which would've been great for players who wanted to give themselves tons of quality of life but maintain the strength of their current powerhouse team.
    Please make those attendant slots extra party member slots in 2.
    Auto-scrolling - Auto-scrolling dialogue is a modern game thing that I'm just a sucker for but compared to everything else listed is not something I need addressed for a while.

    I want to be able to use every character in battle. I was disappointed that some of the most interesting and well-designed characters were support only, like Pastole, Squash and Cassandra.

    1. Story and plot : Story needs to be a bit more grand and the plot akin to a political suspense thriller like previous Suikos
    2. World building : Story should expand setting of existing world and tie up events and/or characters for continuity
    3. Music : The music needs at least some pseudo orchestra arrangements to be considered in the same class as previous Suikos
    4. Main Character : Bring back the silent protag and the main intro of renaming him or her. The main SUikos hook you right from the character name screen letting you KNOW you are in for an adventure
    5. Map : The maps in the game feel too small. Traversing from point A to point B in a map (A and B being cities for example) with only 3 encounters (wearing dash boots) is not JRPG standard
    6. Difficulty : Add 2 endings : one normal ending and one true ending. True ending only available if you play HARD difficulty. Cannot New game plus carry stuff like characters and items. Perma death when you die in Hard mode. You die you start all over.
    7. Mini games : Keep them and expand. Add some significance to the plot for the mini games and your relationship to main characters expanding because of them
    8. Sound effects : I believe this one you mentioned in your cute little video. Sound effects should be added to exploration for immersion

    Great initiative!
    1. I would prefer if they didn't limit character's potential with the rune-lens system, there are some characters I really liked and would prefer to use but they only have 4 rune slots and also not able to equip the higher tier runes. I think it would be great if each character had some level of builds, we can play around with to maximize their potential.
    2. Having to recruit over 100 characters is the excitement of previous suikoden titles and also Eiyuden chronicles. But when you have so many characters you just tend to recruit them and never touch them again, I feel that if they had "War Specific" Characters it would probably make the war segments of the game something to look forward to. Example 50 Characters for in game battle. 50 Characters for the war segments

    Simplify the rune system? How? By going to 1 rune a person again? The current system is basic. Runes have types that go in the matching slot. Circle goes in circle, triangle go in triangle type of stuff.

      You explain it as such, but in my opinion many folks have had trouble understanding this system. I'd honestly prefer 1 rune to be honest with you.
      I do think it's room for improvement, characters only having a certain amount of locked rune slots, no personal animations, generic feint thruts, quick slash, etc

    It should be faster, I'm not only talking about the movement speed, appraisal, mini-games, the text if someone is screaming, everything could be a second faster. The Shi'arc song bug.
    And I don't really feel the problems with the inventory space or encounter rate except in some rare instances, like after getting the Super Lucky Badge, I had only 4 encounters on the Eldroad.

    Too many minigames have a "mash the button mechanic"
    I wanted the story to be about humans doing human things like in Suikoden, but got a guy is growing monsters in the basement story instead. Which didn't even go anywhere.
    Ditch MP and bring spell slots back. Make spells hit hard and each one scale off Magic stat.
    I agree that bag size isn't an issue, they give you infinite storage at the beginning of the game. Use it. You don't need to carry around runes unless you are about to equip them on someone.
    Show the Monster characters in the cutscenes. I have a dragon in my party cause I want them to be there!
    Fix the Hero Combo damage, they shouldn't be doing less damage together that both of them using a basic attack.

    Other issues that in my opinion need fixing are:
    1. Less generic npc's in towns, especially when they where duplicate and sometimes triplicate. Less is more in this case Imho, as with the way it is it cheapens the experience.
    2. They need to remove the annoying voice every time you teleport, which doesn't even make sense most of the time as the character responsible for teleporting isn't even in your party, yet you still hear her voice with the same 2 lines over and over..
    3. They need to have just one menu instead of 2 menus, and make the menu easier and faster to navigate.
    4. Make the fishing game faster, especially once you caught the fish, were you have to wait until to separate dialogue boxes appear. It would also be nice if every time you catch a new fish there's you're notified, instead of the way it is now with just having a blue marker dot. A tutorial would have also been nice.
    5. Make the menu where you change and add runes on every character with the rune seller instead of the warehouse, same goes for the equipment menu for each character. That way if you need to buy any runes and/or equipment it is all done in one place instead of having to go back and forth every time.
    6. Make the enemies drop more 'unknown items' from the beginning of the game, as I didn't have to use the appraiser til' the middle of the game. Also more variety of items would be nice. And the process of appraising items needs to be faster, and drop the dialogue that happens for each appraisal, instead the dialogue should only be played once for each unique item, and no more after that.
    7. The Shark Race controls needs fixing as they are broken the way they are now, where you loose direction when pressing the right buttons. And they need better level design especially for the expert level, where it isn't quite straight forward and could easily loose your way making it very frustrating to finish.
    8 The dash boots need to be a key item instead of taking one equipment slot of a character.
    9. Extra dungeons would have been welcome, especially in the sea desert area, as I felt it fella little flat.
    10. More explorable homes, and shops in towns, especially the inn's.
    11. A separate menu for star items, with more items added to it like it was in suikoden 2 would have been also nice.

    I'm probably in the minority but i don't want too much QoL. Having too many would completely change the balance of the gameplay (something that has been happening to Monster Hunter).
    The starting running speed was fine. They could have made the support recruit that increases speed appear earlier in the game and aren't needed in the party so there are some rewards for the players going out and recruiting.

    Personally, what I think was lacking is the consequences of our choices, since Nowa felt half-baked as a player character.
    It's more to the fact that we just play his story rather than our decision influences how the game would be.
    In suikoden 2, there are certain decision/actions which would influence what happens in the story (Spoiler alert if you haven't played the game for some reason!):
    -If we did not save Ridley in Radat, he gets captured and later saved by Chaco (Or Sasuke/Mondo if you have them) with the help of Leon Silverberg
    -If we save him, Leon visited our castle instead
    -TINTO ARC! Our decision influences whether Ridley stays alive or died in the conflict. Heck, our decision even influences what story arc we play into. That arc also has a bad ending if we keep refusing Shu's order to go back.
    -Different endings. I wouldn't have known of the true ending of this game had i not see a visual where Jowy is just sitting in our promised spot after the ending credit, awaiting us.
    -Nanami, don't even get me started on her. However, one of the facts about her that i recently learned was that we can leave her at Kyaro when Viktor and Flik saved us and she'll join us in Muse
    There are more but these are the ones that i can think on top of my head. Don't get me wrong, Nowa having voice feels cool but i always liked silent protagonist. It unlocked a lot of potential for characterization, as well as giving us freedom to express what we want to do.
    When Aldric is about to invade our castle, i felt like that's one of the time where we as the player should have reign to choose whether to face him or surrender. We had to see a lot of other characters debating if we want to surrender or not, which gives us more insight. However, when it was time for us to decide, Nowa just blatantly says we should fight. No prompt or anything. I was letdown during that moment, ngl.

    If "I'm not mad I'm just disappointed" was a person lol. My man covered a lot of ground. The game felt like a H.O.F baller was on the court for the first time in ages. The magic was there but so were the brick shots.
    Alas I myself am too old and tired to await a follow-up. If I have to lay my controller down somewhere, I'm glad it was here #100heroesstrong

    I agree with all the points. My Personal biggest or most annoying aspect of the game is the damn UI... It is slow, confusing and the worst Part it doesnt even Show half of what i want to know. It gets especially Bad when you have like 40 to 50 characters and you just want to figure out some good combinations and synergies. But the game doesnt give you a usable Option to get the Infos. You can only take them into your Party. Leave Menu. Open Party Menu. Hover to Status Bar and then you can 'only' see if they have a friendship combo. But i cant see Elemental affinities or if they get in awakened or Heat Mode if a certain character goes down. And this list goes on.
    Well... Thats just a huge NoGo for a game with So many characters imo. ^^`

    THE #1 thing this game needs is both an option to skip animation entirely in battles and also a separate fast-forward option for those of us that do like the animations but feel they take way too long after you've seen them a billion times.
    I also agree the story is just serviceable and should improve. it seemed too afraid to differ much from Suikoden II, but as you said the tone is too light. the story was fine, I just expected more.
    I'm torn on stuff like the boots and bag... to me, it wasn't a huge issue, and it really fits with the character of the game so I was fine with it. I also was not looking forward to random encounters but I feel the rate is very low so it's also fine. but there are a lot of other QOL things I'd change. it's ridiculous that there are no town/dungeon names on maps and you just have to remember or guess. there are a lot of things that aren't explained (stats!) and menus just don't seem... optimized? I don't know how they could be fixed exactly but hey I'm not getting paid the big bucks to do that lol
    as you said, fishing is ass lol. the minigames are HORRIBLE! honestly I should have mentioned this after the fast-forwarding because it's probably my #2 complaint. there are SO many minigames - which is fine, there should be - and they are all SO bad and play SO agonizingly slowly. like you know it's bad when I'm actually incredibly glad the cooking minigame was bugged because I cannot imagine trying to get through allllllll of that while not guaranteeing myself a win every time. I cannot emphasize how much side activities/minigames other than character collection (is this a side activity?) need to be improved.

    More balance between recruits stat wise. There are some characters who are just objectively worse than other characters because all of their stats are way lower. This was really noticeable in the part of the game where you use Seign's group, and a lot of the characters you are forced to use have awful stats.
    I understand like a magic focused user shouldn't have as high of str as a physical fighter, but like some magic users will have lower magic attack or defense than physical characters and it just makes 0 sense.

      This I can agree with. One issue I had was I loved a particular character, adored them and wanted to play them through the game... Then slowly I realized just how BAD they were. I wanted my precious boy Gigina to be with me through the game, but his stats ended up horribly, his rune wasn't that good and, a general thing I noticed, Attack-Hero Combos were not really that good, TBH, especially single-target combos. They never seemed to be worth spending the SP plus using multiple characters didn't seem to hit as hard compared to just using the characters default attack separately.

    Pretty much everything mentioned but a bit more details
    What to improve:
    Character speed - it’s a well known fact that gamers are busy. Respect our time and speed up the battles and movement.
    Not rely it on accessories and support characters
    All mini games - fishing is too RNG, egg racing is too repetitive, cooking has no stats or mechanics that make sense, war battles like you said were too scripted, beyblade was too hard and then not interesting, cards were too much at one time and no real rewards.
    Runes/skills - the lack of personal skills in this game is sad. We so many characters I wanted to be able to experience what makes everyone so unique, yet the majority are the same.
    Party members substories - aside from a hand full of members, most of your crew don’t have fleshed out back stories. They’re just there. Give up more story.
    Kurtz (cooking sub story) was perfect. Just not too much cooking
    Town building - more ni nu kuni 2 style. Where buildings help you somehow outside of battle
    Quality of life - saving outside and PARTY SELECTION! I got so tired of having to reassemble my party every start of chapter. And then when we’re forced to have multiple parties, they were all under leveled and under equipped with no way of finding a store.
    Mini spoilers (it’s in the cover art) 3 main heroes - i did like how they broke up the party at times to Marisa, seign, and Nowa. But I feel like those characters should be more fleshed out with their own set of party members who then come together for a common cause (so each group has a party member size of 30 that come together + town members + secret members to make 120)

    While ive had some suikoden fans bizarrely disagree, since they somehow think this is what makes suikoden games suikoden, but a completely lifeless world that has no exploration purpose is a huge one for me that needs to be changed.
    Not a single interesting thing to find by exploring, yet there is a very beautiful overworld map. Just because that's similar to suikoden doesn't mean that should be a defining feature. I dont see that on the lists of why people love suikoden or anything so it seems more like a lazy choice rather something they needed to leave out to seem like a suikoden game.

    Even with the Dash Boots, Nowa still feels slow.
    U.I. navigation needs to be faster.
    And I think they MUST add an option to increase the battle speed in the options as well as message speed.
    I feel the Rune System should be done away with and a skill tree implemented.
    The War battles were very scripted, and characters falling in battle should have that level of risk as you talked about and I'd love for more customization .
    The story could use with a bit darker edge to it, one thing that I haven't gotten with Eiyuden Chronicles that I got from Suikoden 2, and Suikoden 5 is a sense of dread.
    The fishing was very bland, like let us control the direction of the fishing poll to combat and fight with the fish rather than just pressing a button and its done.

    Maybe cause I played suikoden 1 and 2 so many times I was fine with a bunch of annoying parts of the game like the run speed since there were ways around it like the support character slot which reminded me of having stallion in your party to run max speed. BUT BRO the combat speed is so DAMN SLOW, magic is basically useless unless for healing, I missed nuking everything with the lvl 4 rune combinations, and wish the auto battle option just did regular attacks. Like idk how many times I was pissed the auto used an item I was saving for a certain turn lol

    Is it just me, also, or do Hero-Combos - especially single-target Hero Combos - not feel quite impactful/worth it?
    Maybe it's just because I used mainly single targets due to the characters I liked playing (Gigina/Garr, Nowa/Chandra, Lam/Ruifan, Ruifan/Foxiel, as one can see almost all single-target Attack Combos), but the combos didn't feel worth it if they were single-target. I like to use them when I get them with characters I like, but I want combos to be, just, MORE if that makes sense?
    Also: Duels!
    Though they are more cinematic, I didn't like how they were handled. I rather keep the rock-paper-scissors way of the duels from the Suikoden Series. It can blend them with cinematics, as well, but, I don't know why, but the duels felt really hollow.

    Things to improve in my opinion:
    1. Faster movement, have to equip item just to move faster is cumbersome with only 1 slot for it in character
    2. Seamless transition, many heavier frame rate games such FF, Like a Dragon, Legend of Heroes series etc. have smoother transition between scene or when entering status interface, in Eiyuden there is always certain lag that fell awkward
    3. More balanced Battle Characters, there is some power house battle chara like Momo with awesome stat in magic while some chara that make me questioning the point of make them a battle chara like Faye whose abysmal in every stat or like Prielle who have decent Magic stat but with Short range battle position
    4. Focused Character Role, just make specialty role for each chara like battle chara, support chara for buffing teams, War chara that can only used during war scenario, and utility chara that run the castle operation while avoiding cross use of chara role, ex: Perielle is Battle/Support chara in Eiyuden, better make her only support chara as she mostly useless in battle
    5. Easier Minigame Related Chara: chara like Huang with fishing certain rare fish or Reid with Beigoma can be really difficult to get because the minigame will take too much time just to get if you are unlucky
    6. Easier Rare Shop Items: i spend practically 30 minute of repeat loading just to get Star-Crossed Lovers Script to recruit Clarke, this can turn off many player
    7. Replayability, i have played Suikoden dozens of time because i love the game, Eiyuden still not there because the point i mention above, i have finish the game but when i want to play again and remember how annoying to get Clarke and Reid, it gave me pause and hesitant, this are most regret full

    kind of similar to improving the story, they need better character script and voice acting too. I physically cringed everytime the characters would get meta talking about things like the heroes journey trope or big brother shtick. I felt like I was being told what conclusion the writers wanted me to reach instead of just having solid interactions that led me to those conclusions. And the voice acting: A handful of characters had good voices, the rest were either forgettable or just plain bad.

    Mine games taking up over halve the game, isn’t a mini game.
    And battles feel like a scrimmage. They do n feel grad at all. A few platoons here and their fighting each other , not a army vs army
    Also the battles are more cutscene then fighting

    If you really want this video, critique/advice to reach "Rabbit and Bear Studios" you would have to translate this in to Japanese, in a sort of script.
    Most people in Japan barely communicate in English, and if you try to message most companies in English or key people working over there you won't even get an answer back.
    It's just how it works in Japan you have to use their language.

    i agree whit all your point but 1. i feel that the war game in Eiyuden are actualy way better than the one in Suikoden 5, dont get me worng i thing they could do better in Eiyuden for sure....but the number of wars you can win in S5 whit 0 soldier, not just for star of destiny but 0 causality even from your simple nameless foot soldier is just ridiculous. in S5 none of the enemy know how to shoot arrow from afar....none of them do charge and they cant heal themself like you...they just wait and just nothing while you can kill them all and have your army 100% unscratch

    No.1 better rune lens and most of all I felt no major reason why Nowa was a leader in tsuikoden the leader was given in story a true rune and was the chosen one by destiney to lead and we got nothing of that I want the leads to get primordial lense to choose them and make them uniqe and powerful so they are set apart as a main hero with this power. No.2 much better on the duels and more emotion the 1st one was good but I hate how it and the nex one are scrippted losses I hate scrippted losses or force lose make it so you can win and get something for it if you do come out on top.NO.3 the War parts do need to be better and a much more hands on set up of the units like yumir had a buff for archery but he had no achers on the 2nd fight he was mages so like why was I not able to set him up to have archers I also felt liek the buffs did nothing, with all that we need a story as epic and good as the 2nd game on its story.

    the loading takes forever and would crash frequently on switch. items drop was little to none, some characters hit and miss with recruiting and played no roles as they were weak and nerfed. the music was ok but wasnt epic, suikoden 2 mini games were a treat, but eiyuden was hell, no thing new and was bland (no depth to improve gameplay). the castle system cool but some materials were late game and scarce, it was more of a treasure hunt than a castle build. the battle was auto play all the way... total junk. the rune system and mana was junk too, since we didnt have healing save points and you cant save on the world map. you had aire in party all the way because they made it far too slow. we had to guess what runes for the 4 slots had....and only about 1 person would probably have that slot in whole game....and it would be empty 90 percent of the game. the towns and the maps were shitty ( would had been better in 2d suikoden 2 styles) this way they can save time making games and focus on whats more important.... the story. sorry to be so neg just that i waited so long to be lied to and is a bit raged off right now

    I've played about 45% of the story so far and can't say it was as addicting as Suikoden 1-3. I have a feeling most of the recruitable characters are based off kickstarter pledgers. because most characters have very soft features. Not the kind of warriors I would expect to die on the battlefield.I also noticed you mentioned the lack of the deaths on the battlefield in the game. people nowadays are too soft and can't handle death even in a video game. That's more than likely why they removed it to cater to the sensitive snowflakes.

    have to disagree with the characters locked behind minigames point
    unlike you, I actually disliked the cooking storyline as it is too shallow and if you play Suikoden 2, it seems like just a cheap copy, nothing new.
    But I do agree with characters locked behind beigoma, card battle and cooking.
    It's rewarding for players to have a character unlocked after the tedious minigames they did. The concept is right for me.
    I woukd rather
    1. Improve the story and system of the minigames
    2. Give a mindset to the community that 100% clear is not "true ending", rather a bonus ending, bonus scene or whatever. You are never required to do the minigame, the characters are just the bonus reward if you did it. And the final character only unlocked after having all characters recruited are also a bonus content that you get after 100%ing the game. Lile some star ocean titles or others, 100% is actually a bonus content and needs to be viewed that way. If they want, they separate the "star of destinies" that required to get some character not dying for story and emotional purpose, and the "non-stars" that are the bonus characters and make a separate strong bonus character for endgame that rewards the player for 100%ing

    Want more War Battles (Make some optional encounters while we are at it, maybe even link that to a recruit or 2.), more Duels (Likewise more Optional ones would be neat.), make it so you can fight random encounter like battles for those (Not literal random encounters, just ones with no story impact.).
    Likewise, more customization for not just the base, but the why not go a step further and let us customize how our troops and army look? A Feature I've wanted for Suikoden titles for a while (And the Warriors franchise for that matter.).
    If I want to have an Army of Skeletons because I recruited a Lich Buddy, let me make my army look like Skeletons.
    Also more Non-Humans in general.
    I know it's probably too much to ask for a Protagonist who isn't (Or is it?), but I can still ask for it.

    Suikoden story is superior, rune system sucks. Most character feels very generic. Part of what i like about suikoden is the mystery about true runes, the harmonian empire and diff lore background of characters such as yuber. I didnt really feel that is present in this game. But i still enjoyed the game. 71hrs spent before i was satisfied.

      Maybe they can make it more engaging. It's more like cutscenes than a war battle. Real time war battle with more risk/reward and an ai that can somehow adapt to the strat you're trying to input.

      I do think majority of these are valid. The game progression bugs were definitely a problem. I couldn't get the true ending my first playthrough, the rest can definitely be seen as nitpicks

      It’s not as bad a fire emblem fates, but the changed dialogue is pretty cringe at times and dampers the experience even if it doesn’t ruin it.

    I like that you can only save in a save points or in the Inn.
    Never had an issue with the bag capacity.
    I agree with the dash should not be occupying an item slot. They should just add an special item slot like in Y's series.
    Footsteps and other environmental sound effects can be improve.
    Repetitive mini game or special action to recruit a member, I can tolerate if it's for one powerful character.
    Music can be improve.
    I agree with the story, they should not shy away from darker themes.
    War battle is a mess. They should definitely improve it.
