Seriously. Suzaku has WAY more stamina than Ragnahawk. Slightly slower sprint is a good trade off for being able to stay in the air three times as long and not have to stop multiple times when climbing mountains to regen stamina.
Everyone writes him off but he is my go to mount, literally none of the content creators have mentioned stamina stats, suzaku had 350 compared 100 or 150 of almost every other mount. Makes such a MASSIVE difference and you don't have to stop constantly to get stamina back

I've seen a few videos on this topic, but this is the only one that has gone into such testing and detail. Great points on mentioning that Frostallion will drown on water if exhausted, and Ragnahawk is the only one that fits through cave tunnels. Good things for people to take into consideration with selecting a travel pal for their playstyle. I've been using a Faleris with Runner and Sprint which I'm loving due to not only the speed, but gotta love me a fire birb. For dungeons, I've found that using the Galewing as a glider to navigate through the tunnels is a nice supplement to traversing these if you dont want to give up the larger mounts.
It took a while, but I bred up a max speed Beakon (Legend / Swift / Runner / Nimble) which appears to be second or third best, based on those tables. I mostly just like the +Lightning buff it gives, because random stuns on bullets/arrows are super handy. (Also shockwave is good for groups of dudes.)
I didn't even run the numbers on Nimble being a white trait, but that's 1.1 x 1.15 x 1.2 x 1.3 that's a range of 401 (just under Base Faleris' 407) sprint range of 170 (tied with Legend Jetragon at 172) and clocking in at 24 M/s (compared to non-legend Jet at 31) That's an amazing pre-50 pal
@@austinjohngaming I don't know about the speeds on ground mounts, but I got the same skill set on a Univolt, because Beakon won't fit through most doorways in dungeons and I still love the +Lightning. I bet that set would be nuts on a Fenglope. Edit: Just noticed the ground mounts video. Seems Univolt is still a decent choice, even though leveling doesn't affect his speed.
It's crazy just how many charts this game needs to know exactly what you're doing. I'm still blown away by the breeding chart and how you can catch a male and a female of random species and wind up having most of the paldeck knocked out, just by breeding.

Suzaku is easily the 2nd best non legend due to its extreme stamina and pretty good speed combined with it's easy acquisition compared to others at its level.
It's a crime to skip Suzaku because of an arbitrary "value" number based on speed vs level. The upgrade from Ragnahawk isn't in speed, it's all in stamina.
Believe no Quivern because it is a ground/flying combo (not as in types but forms of movement) As Austin said in the beginning, ground/flying combo fliers are bad because they drown when out of stam instead of flying above water as if it was ground.

Fenglope can do that though & their saddle is like level 26. Plus, they’re the fastest non-legendary ground mount if you factor in their charge & their double jump has more height than the legendary triple jump.

What I don't understand is why different similarly flying mounts "fly" differently. What I mean, Nightwing, you can just hold Spacebar and go up. But Vanwyrm? You have to "double jump" to start flying. Why can Vanwyrm bunny hop when it already Fly/Hovers?
For me it was just circumstances, and/or conveniences. Ekthyrdeer > surfent > vanwyrm > fenglope Im currently at lvl 34 and i have 5 faleris bred with ferocious, runner, swift, and artisan. Trying to rush lvl38
I have tested that Faleris beats even a Swift+Legend Jetdragon in both speed and distance if you can Breed all 4 speed traits onto it. Making it the most powerful flying mount you can easily breed for. Obviously you can breed for a 4 speed Jetdragon but that's something that's going to take an insane amount of luck, effort, and time that's probably not worth it for the average player base. In reality though, Ragnahawk/Fengloupe/Hangyu/Galeclaw/Grapple Gun are the most practical combos you'll ever use in any situation. I find myself hardly ever bust out my Jetdragon/Felaris because the get stuck everywhere. You can't even loot anything on the ground while riding a Jetdragon, that's like the worst design ever.
Wasn't Suzaku good because of its immense stamina though? At least, I hear people swear by it. Either way, so long if the Hangyu/Killamari grapple tech exists for speed traversal, I'm not going to use fliers sans vertical height or damage bonuses ever, and Jetragon ofc (but, I can use Hangyu in caves with some finesse!)
For normal vs alpha, did you compare while flying normally or while sprinting? Because most mounts do in fact get +100 sprint speed on their alpha versions, but some (namely most of the legendaries, like Jetragon and the Frostallions) don't get any bonus at all, while others only get +50, and the normal run speed never gets any bonus. I'm just curious if this is actually reflected in gameplay or not, since according to the files Nitewing should in fact have 850 speed instead of 750 for its alpha version Edit: I tested it and my alpha Vanwyrm is absolutely faster while sprinting than my non-alpha Vanwyrm, taking ~6 seconds to get from one end of my house to the other for my alphas and ~7 seconds with my non-alpha, both with swift+runner
Suzakus I wouldn't consider that much outclassed since they get a considerable bonus in their damage if you are riding them. If you only are talking about speed, yes - but if you are talking about best, that is a bonus imo. Also what do you think - should one breed a speedy or damage Ragnahawk for dungeons? I find that too speedy birds often drift a lot and in the caves that might feel bad. So I went and bred a Legend, Musclehead, Flame Emperor, Ferocious, Ragnahawk as my dungeon mount.
I don't except Palworld because it's technically a Violent game which we already have too many Violent Shooting games which I know that it's a Survival game but Fighting against Zombies is a True Survival game not this piece of garbage which I don't like Violent Games! I'm worried about kids hanging out with friends and they try to reenact something they saw in Palworld which people keep forgetting that kids play pretend pretend which it could get them into trouble or even hurt!
Shadowbeak tier 47 isnt on this list and its currently what im using since I Don't have Jet yet. But this is DEFINITELY the fastest thing ive bred for.
I started playing with breeding because my knightwing was so infuriatingly slow. My second mount was vaneyrm cryst and i put swift and runnerb(the movement speeds), and im freaking hauling @$$
Im tired of the flying mount videos, we need a video showing us the most amount of damage we can do with each top damage pal for each element. Like, for example, base Balzamut vs Balzamut with atk passive skills vs balazmut with atk passive skils & 4 Kelpsea ignis.
I understand why you didn’t include Suzaku but, because of their stamina, they tend to be significantly faster than pals that look faster than them on paper if you’re going any significant distance. So for ppl who like to fly around the world a lot, Suzaku is one of the best (non-legendary) pals.
You got my mind on something with the vanwyrm cyst statement. Can you make a one shot build using 4x lvl 4 gobfins with vanguard a vanwyrm cyst lvl 4 with vanguard and the single shot rifle? I’m sure with a legendary rifle it would be huge numbers but what about the common version?
im just wondering why they didnt spread out the mid game ones better basically using vanwyrm from 21 until mid 30s than you just pick one of the many. couldve made one like 28 or 30
Its unfortunate that you didnt include suzaku. I did a similar set of tests just comparing jetragon with legend to a legend runner swift suzaku. Suzaku was about 25% slower than a non sprinting jetragon, but flew over twice as far on wighout running out of stamina. Suzaku is the stamina king of flying pals.
How about Beakon does he have issues fitting in the caves? (I want to breed a very powerful Blazamut for the Frostalion fight and I don't want to have 2 fire types)
Consider which pals you can use in dungeons. My beakon is too big to fit through dungeon doorways. However the ragnahawk can, so you never have to dismount in a dungeon or tunnel/mine. Therefore, ragnahawk best imo
Violent Shooting games are a big problem because they're too many people who love playing those games without realizing that it's not good for the State of mind means that people can confused by thinking the video game is real reality which some people did bad things which they're in jail or they went off into their own little world which means they went nuts! Zombie Survival game is a true acceptable game to play because of a certain reason which I rather not say it because I don't want to Jinx it!
I’m currently riding Falreis with Runner Swift and Nimble. Also have a galeclaw for gliding not sure if transferring those stats will affect the gliding
while you were about to fly up the mountain with ragnahawk and are now sitting at the top waiting for your stamina. suzaku flies 2 more mountains. i think it's clear which of the two mounts has more value for exploration / lifmunk effigys / eggfarming. the same goes for beakon
So... from what I udnerstood is that Jetdragon is the best outside of caves, but inside of caves its better to have Ragnahawk? Not sure if I understood this correctly

One thing you missed with the flying pals is the climb speed. Pals like Suzaku aren't to fast like the others, but they do rise and fall faster then most.
can faleris not fit through the cave well? Also how do these flyers compare to say a fenglope? I am currently just rocking a fenglope as it seems to be really fast and for the most part can get up mountains pretty well other than obvious cliffs.

I'm just curious if this is actually reflected in gameplay or not, since according to the files Nitewing should in fact have 850 speed instead of 750 for its alpha version
Edit: I tested it and my alpha Vanwyrm is absolutely faster while sprinting than my non-alpha Vanwyrm, taking ~6 seconds to get from one end of my house to the other for my alphas and ~7 seconds with my non-alpha, both with swift+runner
Frostallion Noct (Frostallion + Helzephyr and try to look for Legend, Swift and Runner passive) and Jetragon for me.
Four star direhowl with runner swift and nimble is ACTUALLY stupid. Unreasonably fast running mount that can be accessed very early-on.
So...
S tier flyer Jetragon (end game)
A tier flyer Faleris (mid game)
S tier flyer *in caves* Ragnahawk (midgame)
Early game, no choice Nitehawk...
Im tired of the flying mount videos, we need a video showing us the most amount of damage we can do with each top damage pal for each element.
Like, for example, base Balzamut vs Balzamut with atk passive skills vs balazmut with atk passive skils & 4 Kelpsea ignis.
I'm so confused. Every Suzaku I've used has stamina way higher than anything else. Those things fly forever. How is their value not higher?
I understand why you didn’t include Suzaku but, because of their stamina, they tend to be significantly faster than pals that look faster than them on paper if you’re going any significant distance. So for ppl who like to fly around the world a lot, Suzaku is one of the best (non-legendary) pals.
Ragnahawk is also lvl 4 Kindling which is super dope! I’ve been riding Vanwyrm and if you can bump him up so he’s capable offensively he’s solid.
I'd have liked to have heard what mounts you, personally, choose throughout your game to level 50... and which you bother to improve by breeding.
im just wondering why they didnt spread out the mid game ones better basically using vanwyrm from 21 until mid 30s than you just pick one of the many. couldve made one like 28 or 30
Its unfortunate that you didnt include suzaku.
No Sazuka or Sazuka Aqua? Those ones have great speed and maybe the best stamina, might be my favorite/best before Jetragon.
Consider which pals you can use in dungeons. My beakon is too big to fit through dungeon doorways. However the ragnahawk can, so you never have to dismount in a dungeon or tunnel/mine. Therefore, ragnahawk best imo
Helzephyr is mid af but nothing can convince me there's anything more beautiful than its blue-stripes glow at the dark.
Just Bred for a Legend, Swift, Runner and Nimble Jetragon.... it is like cheat codes how fast it is
I’m currently riding Falreis with Runner Swift and Nimble.
You should’ve included Suzaku, it’s stamina makes it fly 3x farther than all the other non legends
So... from what I udnerstood is that Jetdragon is the best outside of caves, but inside of caves its better to have Ragnahawk?
Not sure if I understood this correctly
Falters is the best flying mount that isn't legendary. It's quick to gain altitude and forward speed.
I think they did something with either caves or RagnaHawk. I cant use them to fly through cave passages; not using an alpha.
How come you just haven't used the other channels intro for this one? Everything else is the same. Although the "will game for views" was great more of that please.
just saying but if you care about dungeon exploration just get yourself a good fengelope instead. it's pretty damn fast and while it cannot fly it may make you doubt your actual need for it when you see just how high and far those double jump can get you. i bred myself one with swift, runner and nimble and boi i am flying through those dungeon fast
Im glad me breeding ragnahawks with swift, runner, ferocious, and musclehead is worth it ❤
A few things. 1st the into was awesome, but missed the snap. 2nd is the Jetragon issue is fucking hilarious. 3 i thought this was gonna be a basic top 10 countdown but boi was i wrong! 🤣🤣 Great shit, best palworld content. Could go for a oive stram if you do that kinda stuff.
IGN put out a 'top 5 flying pals' at the EXACT SAME TIME as me, 3pm EST. it's the most basicly basic video.
I'm here to make spreadsheets, ignore haters, fuck shit up, and chew bubblegum... and i'm about out of bubblegum.
One thing you missed with the flying pals is the climb speed. Pals like Suzaku aren't to fast like the others, but they do rise and fall faster then most.
I know this is about flying pals but if you want to breeze through caves... it's Fenglope all the way
Please do running mounts. I've got a swift, runner Fenglope and it's incredibly fast
can faleris not fit through the cave well? Also how do these flyers compare to say a fenglope? I am currently just rocking a fenglope as it seems to be really fast and for the most part can get up mountains pretty well other than obvious cliffs.
Tbh i will use Vanwyrm cryst most of the time just for the looks xd since i breed stats into it and im playing solo anyway and dont feel like just using legends(i dont even use them in pokemon cuz whats the point of the other mons then) and in caves i use a ground mount but cant recall what is it i dont go to the game in days cuz got bit frustrated on breeding the ultimate grizzbolt gunner xd
Big sad I've spent all my night getting a quivern with swift and nimble, I'll stop trying for runner
Hmmmmm nooooo, y have 2 flyers? Have the fastest ground mount yeah? For getting through caves? Yeah.
My favorite is the ice pegasus. Even though I didn't get it yet.
Aren't you betraying your bestie Joe Merrick by talking about this game? Probably why you did noy post it on your main channel so Nintendo does not hate you lol
I know it’s n. It the fastest, but you stilll should have brought in Suzaku and the alpha. Version, ass their stamina is insane
How'd you find the distance they travel and the values you mentioned earlier, How'd you come up with those? Love the use of Excel and the attention to detail
