How does that equate to genius? He doesn't design or build the rockets, the cars, the tunnels or the brain implants. He just bought into them. SpaceX wouldn't exist now without govt. contracts & launching it's own starlink satellites which was a technology developed by someone else who went bankrupt before he realise his technology.
A genius wouldn't post the creepiest tweet in history like he did about Taylor Swift, it was gross. Considering he's supposed to be promoting the potential president he just bought, I wonder how many female voters he swayed to the GOP with that genius idea?
- he bought Tesla from the original founders and has artificially inflated the stock prices by lying about tech he hasn't yet developed. - SpaceX promised NASA that their reusable rocket, ship, and the no gravity refueling system, all of which still haven't had a fully successful test to even low Earth orbit. At this rate they will miss their 2025 Artemis mission, for which Blue Origin is stepping in. - The Boring Company was created to kill the high speed rail project in the US, an infrastructure that could have revolutionized travel and helped reduce pollution at the same time, just to prop up his car sales. To date none of their projects have materialized other than a tiny tunnel that Teslas drive 30 mph through, that only goes from something like 3 locations. The hyperloop was a concept proposed in 1799. Musk didn't invent or even know how to make one. You can go to their failed attempts they've seemingly abandoned. - Neural Link has done some interesting things, but it was a horror story to get there and very questionable ethically. The first patient gained control of a mouse so he could use the computer again, which other companies have achieved already, but it's the first surgically implanted brain computer interface. The wires did unseat but seem to have settled and he just needed to learn how to use the mouse again cause of the shift. It's still very early to tell if it will be a success or not, but I don't like that Musk has stated his goal is to improve humanity's capability and achieve symbiosis with A.I. Neuralink makes me nervous. He's a kid living in a science fiction fantasy. He doesn't understand the complexities of science and engineering and thinks that throwing money at it can make it real. He is being sued in multiple countries, and by investors, the SEC, and customers, and this is just the start. He is trying to buy a ticket with Trump to be put in charge of a committee to have power over the whole government. There is an endless list I could go through of all of Musk's failures and mishaps. Elon wasted precious time on the cybertruck instead of developing the economy model to compete with Chinese EVs He built too many mega factories that may not work to capacity due to slowdown in EV sales and, again, competition or recession. He personally is horrible PR for Tesla. I was a believer from 2014-2020. I feel very badly for the Tesla shareholders and hope it’s not an absolute debacle. Elon gets bored. He needs drama and “impossible” missions to feel alive. He will not have patience or be able to emotionally bear working with regulators ad nauseum to approve fsd and home robots. And tinkering with refurbishing his plants to … build Optimus? What a sad mess really.
CyberUrinal is a disaster; impractical, damages easily, irreparable, insurance nightmare, tires only lasting ~6,000 miles, no crumble zones, presents a clear, present danger to everyone, especially pedestrians, 3x initial price point, no FSD…
@@jiri3312 Actually, Chris just posted a new video about those cybertruck sales. 11,688 units in all of 2024? Dismal! Elon took Tesla off the track when he prioritized the CT and not a basic economic model. Chinese EVs are cheaper but the US will impose massive tariffs to protect domestic manufacturers and to keep Americans from buying Chinese. Even Elon acknowledges that Chinese EVs will outcompete Tesla and he knows he needs trade barriers. It's bad for car buyers. Less competition, higher prices, and coddled local manufacturers. So much for free enterprise.

Chris I think the shallow knowledge base among many of Musks most ardent supporters is even more profound than that. I have spoken with some who think that when Elon “creates” these companies he uses a check book drawn his personal account, literally. There has been little awareness that Musky has been a carnival barker investment bundler from the beginning. Solar City should have been the wake up call for the general public.

But, technically, didn't their play on attention grab work, by taking time away from your day to engage with this sad attempt for trolling? So now he'd need to wheel out his strategy again (and add more ammo to my $TSLS opposed vault 😂)
I really appreciate your calm, relatable narrative style - the narrative of which essentially involves the decline of Musk as a person and Tesla as a company. Opposite: the contrary narrative (Elon the genius, eternal resurrection man, everything he touches turns to gold). Both narratives (especially the latter) are omnipresent. Real Graphics based on real facts would be interesting - building a narrative along these lines would be more convincing. I'm thinking, for example, of Joe Blogs' approach, which I really appreciate. Thank you for your work!
Elon Musk got so upset that he didn't get mentioned in articles about Tesla in its early years that he would call the then CEO/founder and angrily yell at him. For Musk it's all smoke and mirrors. This is his main skill in life.
Hi! Thanks for your message! Elon is a bum. I just wish I knew that from the start but I was fooled by his rocket science stuff and I bought in on the hype. Nowadays I can’t wait for the musk house of cards to come crashing down as soon as possible. I don’t care about rockets anymore, that stuff can wait for a time post musk (and post trump for that matter).
I saw his rockets. Not impressed. You usually want to put as few engines as possible on it, because each of them has a chance to fail. The US rockets, before we Germans helped with Apollo, had tens of engines. Looked cool and exploded. Apollo 11 just had a few huge engines and boosters, was a bigger V2 with a different tip, and worked. Musk's rockets also have a lot of engines, that look cool, but they are useless, have many small instead of a few big parts, lose those parts and explode. So his rockets are really bad. Not just some issues, the whole design is awful.
Tesla has problems with deployment of FSD to HW3 and to Cybertuck (HW4). Which indicates that the technology is much harder to integrate horizontally than what Tesla has expected. This should have impact to Tesla's market cap.
OMG, somebody finally talking about Musk's "business acumen." I known able his background. But when his background brought up, I see two responses: They love Musk. Or they hate Musk. But nobody can explain why.
Sorry Elons a rich weirdo, who out of control, the authorities need to keep an eye on him, and revoke government contracts. His making serious dangerous threats on public people, & knowingly insighting violence. Love your content on channel.
I saw a TH-camr who bought a Tesla. When he tried to charge it, it wouldn’t connect. When he called the Tesla dealership it turns out they forgot to “give control” to the new owner. And the turned on the cars ability to be charged. Do we really trust a car company that can just turn on and off your car whenever they please. I don’t.
Freedom of speech is a privilege that comes with responsibility when living in a democracy. If you abdicate that responsibility you face consequences of your speech. Freedom of speech ≠ freedom from consequences. It’s similar to how the big institutions and individuals want to reap the rewards of capitalism and risk without the social responsibility/consequences. Privatize profits socialize losses is how they want it. We need social change but I fear it may come at quite a cost before it happens. “A society grows great when old men plant trees in whose shade they shall never sit.” We are not here yet.
Most billionaires aren't self made usually coming from wealthy family who pay for Ivy league education and given large sums of money to start their business and aren't self-made as they tell people
The Tesla company state is at a very low point, but the reach of the Tesla pumpers is at all time high. Sadly that's why the stock isn't reflecting what is actually happening. A lot of regular people will get burnt eventually, and will lose lots of money.
You missed the fly cars. A few years ago, Elon proposed mounting some, basically scuba tanks, on a car, and use them for jet propulsion, to let the car fly above traffic, for a short duration. Musk thought "short" was a minute or two. In reality, "short" was more like a fraction of a second. Not enough, for it even to rise more that a few inches.
How much does he get behind the scenes to do what he does with Twitter though? I bet its huge. He is the social media Murdoch. I mean he was even seen with Rupert a few times prior to his takeover of Twitter
Mr. Norland, I agree with 99% of what you're saying. That said, I too was not sure what "EQ" meant. I had to look it up to be sure. Individuals can be perceptive about human nature and still not know all the popular psychological buzz terms. I think you need to go recall to your earlier stance. Let's give each other some slack at least until the adherents claim Musk can walk on water or the earth is flat. Keep up the good work and your sense of humor.
How would Tesla meltdown( a 85% drop in market cap for example) affect the market? I believe its fair value(with Musk forced out ) to be not muc more than US$120billion(half of Toyota).

He is a serious Circus Performer... I can't understand who would and WHY anyone would still support this man??
He's a dreamer... Dreaming with other people's money doesn't last forever.
He's a rich narcissistic nerd who got lucky in the dot com boom and bought and lied his way up trying to be iron man in real life. Also his obsession with breeding is so gross.
Well... He has bought other people's genius ideas .. I dunno about HIM... Exactly...
@@johnhawkins2105 i dunno about Taylor Swift and why anyone would base their presidential choice on Elon OR Taylor's opinions.... Unfortunately, they are intentionally opposed to one another.
Musk deserves to lose all government contracts and rebates. He is a national risk that cannot be ignored
OP os literally a bot, trying to tell us about national risks, while posing as a human.
Contracts that he got all during and thanks to the Obama green era policies for Tesla and the contracts with space X. This dude will end up deflecting to russia with all the American built American designed rocket hardware and or the actual know how. Good episode. 👍 I agree with your sentiment on people wanting instant wealth and/or instant gratification. My dad worked a factory job for 40 yrs, had a grade 8 education, and was the smartest person I knew when it came to money. Save money. Pay with as much cash as possible, and never trust anyone with your money. He owned everything debt free. So do I thanks to his lessons on money.
Musk has some loose screws. I'm out of Tesla stock due to his unstable character. I will never buy a Tesla. I don't reward aberrant behavior
I mean, how it’s gone this long is almost unforgivable. Merrick Garland owes the country a lot of indictments.
Elon Musk doesn't realize Section 230 won't protect musk from charges against both him and X (Twitter). Elon is the owner of the platform! Section 230 is designed to protect social media platforms from user generated posts! Not the posts of the owner (publisher) of the platform!
Simply stated if I were to defame someone on X, yes I can be sued but X can't. Problem is Musk is the sole owner of X, he made the company private when he purchased it.
Thanks for clarifying the term EQ. (Emotional Quotient) Forty years ago, old school; it used to mean Economics Quotient... times they are a changing.
EQ to people in the audio industry still means “equalization.” Very common term that has its roots when the telephone was invented and describes the circuitry that was engaged to compensate for the loss of frequencies that occurred during a phone call.

I was close to buying a Tesla Model 3 but then Elmo started running his mouth. Unfortunately Tesla Board will not remove him as they are in his pocket.

Elon wasted precious time on the cybertruck instead of developing the economy model to compete with Chinese EVs
He built too many mega factories that may not work to capacity due to slowdown in EV sales and, again, competition or recession.

Soon living on Mars is the only viable option for this guy. It’s becoming existential for Mr. Musk!
i bought TSLA. then it went down. then i sold it when it went back up. sick of all the stock pumpers & speculation & DON'T really like counting cars. it's all about how many cars they sold each month. building hugely expensive super computers for this self-driving car thing has NOT been proven to be more cost effective than other ways of doing it - such as Google Waymo. yes individual Google Waymo robotaxis units are more expensive but they supposedly DON'T need all these super computers as well to link them up. also besides building them the super computers are extremely expensive to run with heating/cooling/electricity/security & etc..
Tesla sales & revenue keep declining for several quarters while Tesla stock is running on promise of FSD & $25k car. You stand a greater chance of getting struck by lightning before any promise from Elon Musk becomes reality.
Don’t know how low Tesla stock is gonna be in the not too distant future but the cult don’t see it yet.

Musk is a great example of how messed up our govt is. He is allowed to say and do just about anything, and still be showered with billions in govt contracts.
I don’t think that the government can remove Musk Willy nilly. It’s a lot more complicated than that.
@joancooney7724- they can if they wanted to. He's a National Security Threat & not a US Citizen by birth. Rep Adam Kinziger said that anyone in the military would have their Security Clearance revoked.
To the poster below, the Govt can seize his assets and nationalise them if he's treated like the threat he is. Please have some imagination and stop prioritising the comfort of the powerful over justice.
@raa729- bullshit. They can seize it from him under National Security Concerns. Unfortunately, people like you prioritise the comfort of the powerful over justice

Bit of an aside, that's a really cool room you're in.

You missed the fly cars. A few years ago, Elon proposed mounting some, basically scuba tanks, on a car, and use them for jet propulsion, to let the car fly above traffic, for a short duration.
