This role he is playing is not his usual. ladies, this is abuse that he is meting out to his wife; women, do not stay in an abusive and controlling relationship or marriage. Staying in an abusive marriage, the woman loses all control of life. Marriage is not everything, being a MRS is not a crown, not when all manner of independence is taken away..

Exactly! However it’s a NIGERIAN movie, and the scriptwriters 99% forgive the abusive husband, the wife does and stays in the marriage. Marriage is considered a CROWN to many in that culture. Is it not true?

The fact is the curse is more of a state of mind than a curse itself. Beliefe kills and it cures. The whole incident was actually accidental more than deliberate.
This movie was showing today and I came across it again. So, he disrespected his wife, spoke to her anyhow, ran around with prostitutes, mistreated his wife and more. Beat her and she stayed and suffered while smiling. This is 2024, I guess it’s the culture; suffering in marriage, being a MRS and ‘what will people say’? This movie triggered me, in my line of profession, the interventions re SPOUSAL ABUSE is off the charts.
