So I just finished a 60k and I didn't realize the size when I bought it... I had only ever done like 20k tops before. It took 4 months working few hours almost everyday
I’ve done HUNDREDS of diamond paintings and love them. My advice is don’t use the multiple placer. Do checkerboard pattern when doing a group of one color and they will lay straighter
do you have a place where I can find square pens? I did get a square one with my first painting but not after that and that one is getting used up a bit now
@@BayleeJae use an old gift card or debit card to line up the edges when starting so the edges around the diamond painting are straight and multi place your heart away

I clip my projects to the light pad and stand it on my easel so I don’t have to bend over so much - really made a difference for my neck and back strain 😊👍
U now know what us cross stitchers go thru! It’s the slowness one stitch at a time side that I enjoy the most it’s mindless monotony that takes me away from a crap day or to loose a few hours! Honestly tho I would love for u to have ur art converted into cross stitch charts

Diamond painting is the kind of thing you really need to enjoy to stick with. If you’re not enjoying it, it’s a really fussy craft to push through. Don’t do this to yourself again if it was too stressful or painful! (I mean that with care.)

Seeing these diamond paintings come to life is always so satisfying! I like the sped up parts a lot! I'm also glad I was a part of some of the real time making of this one at the streams though it is so cool to see it come together!
I've never done a diamond painting where I didn't look over the piece as a whole at the very end and then make some minor alterations. It's just part of the process. No matter how good the translation from original art to pixels, there are almost always going to be small areas that didn't work as well or that you just don't like, even if it's just a pixel or two here and there.
Diamond painting has become one of my favorite things to do. The biggest one I have ever done was 110x50cm which took forever to finish but so worth it!
You have so much restraint! I could never take a break whenever I get a new diamond painting! I work, get home and start! Suddenly, oh boy 3am, time for a Krabby Patty! And sleep! I just love to binge these paintings!
I did my first non diamond art club painting (not recommended) and it was huge! It took me 2 years not continuous I spent a lot of quarantine working on it and I used tweezers because for some reason I find them easier to work with. Any way, I have 3 diamond paintings to do and I can’t wait! I want to start on at peace first because it’s so pretty!
I finished this diamond painting last week but I wanted a bit of extra colour so I used some left over diamonds from other paintings. I changed the mushrooms to red with white spots and the large pointy flowers on the bottom to blues and the flowers/orangey spots in the leaves at the top to pinks.
Baylee.... have you thought about getting the bigger multi tool? There's one that'll stick 7-9 at one time. There's also bigger trays as well. The kits are on Amazon
I always use tweezers for the ABs, but kneadable gum works really well to (a little to well as it pulls of the extra shine of the AB drills often, so for that part tweezers. But for all the other drills, kneadable gum as it stays sticky so much longer then the pink wax that comes with it. Blue tac also works ( it not available here). The clear tray is also available in white and in larger sizes, which is so much better then the small free trays and will only cost a few $, might be worth to get some if you plan on doing more diamond paintings.
100% agree with you. I do my whole diamond painting with tweezers and use a big white tray. I can't image using the basic tools that come with each kit anymore haha

I bought Lac 9 months ago! I'm still in highschool so just now I'm getting around on doing it, I love it! The colours are wonderful. During Easter I dedicated a week and completed half of it, let me tell you my neck was suffering but I loooooved it and I'm hoping I'll complete it till the end of May

I've done two, and the largest was 16x20. Took me so long to do it, I can't imagine doing one as large as the one in this video. I did one that was 8x8 and that is probably my ideal size.
I do a good chunk whenever I get motivated and then just roll it up and wait till I get more motivation. These become long term projects for me. Like months worth of time but its really nice to do a chunk when I really want to do it. And its really gratifying when you finish. You dont habe to do it all at once or even in a timely manner. Plus you can get really small ones too
@@alyssawolf7511 I know that there's smaller ones out there. But I found the bigger the painting the better it looks, because it won't be as pixelated as it is when it's really small. I have an unfinished Elsa lying about, not sure I will actually finish it, though, as my niece grows out of Frozen now xD
I used to have the same issues with my neck and back hurting after doing the diamond paintings for 1 long sitting so I recommend getting some kind of stand, after I got mine those issues disappeared completely.
Simply beautiful! I just got into diamond art and I’m doing my first project. I jumped straight in and am doing a big piece with square drills 😂 I’m freaking out a bit because for the life of me I can’t get my drills perfectly straight, even using the checkerboard pattern. I’ve watched a couple videos online of people placing all of their squares perfectly straight, which I am simply not able to do without focusing so hard that it takes the joy out of the craft for me. I notice that your drills are straighter than mine, but not absolutely perfect, and your finished piece turned out STUNNING. Gives me hope that mine will turn out great too!
This is awesome! I have gotten into smaller ones and I can finish one in 3-4 hours. They're so relaxing! I also love editing it... it's the relaxation all over again!

As a diamond painter, pro tip. Using the multiplcer works best for Abs. Also, bigger trays help with the finger issue. Also, standing & Stretching up every 30mins of diamond painting helps with back & neck pain

I recently did a diamond painting recreating Van Gogh’s Starry Night, and I’m hooked. It took me like 6 months, but I could literally sit there listening to music and doing that for hours. Now I’m hoping I’ll get another diamond painting for Christmas. It’s 67,000 diamonds and 91 x 60 cm, so it’s pretty ambitious, but it’s going to look amazing! :D

Hi Braylee. Whenever I have a drill to take out of the tray, I extend my pinkie finger, no more raw finger! Think like posh tea drinking.... extend pinkie each time. I also never thought doing extra shiny drills first. I haven't come across pearlised in quite a while. 😅 phew! That's huge!
I use a wide 6 placer, which fits up to 7 drills, if loaded just right. When I have to place one or two drills, I load both ends so I can fill two spots at once.

I suddenly don't feel bad for chaos painting anymore. I'm not alone in the world! I simply call it chaos painting because I don't do it like most people do in the small little grid squares. You've shown me that I still fit in this world somewhere lol.
A little tip for ab drills from a long time diamond painter when you put your wax in your pen rub it on your pants a little and it wont pull the wax out i used to have this problem all the time lol :)
The finished product was very beautiful! Never seen someone doing this it was very interesting! But I want 2 address the eye twitch...that is caused by not being hydrated enough. So don't 4get 2 hydrate while working!
i know im super late to the party but i use glue dots for my diamond painting. It works with abs and you dont have to relaod a lot. The only thing is its complicated to use in a milti-placer. I just cut the round dot into a quarter and use the quarter piece.
I have done 10 projects and I love it. I am not an artist but I have had many hours feeling like an artist. Maybe my next project I will try some experimenting.

I use blue tac in my diamond painting pens, not sure if that is just a uk thing but it can be called white tac too, like it way better than the wax provided and you barely have to change it

I cant wait to get to working on Lac! 😂 I think also... for next time.. you should consider investing in a large tray then you don't have to shake the tray so often and keep refilling it, you can get them quiet cheep as well on amazon or aliexpress 😂 I could never commit enough to do a huge painting in such a large amount of time I'd burn out 😂

The ab’s could work well with a wax pencil as nail techs use it for them all the time ☺️

The best stuff I've found to use is wall tack adhesive instead of the wax that comes with kits. It lasts forever.

I have done 10 projects and I love it. I am not an artist but I have had many hours feeling like an artist. Maybe my next project I will try some experimenting.

People also use mini glue dots, I just recently bought a new kind of wax that will hopefully help with the paintings I bought.
You can use the tweezers to lay the AB Drils.

I’ve bought several diamond painting and a lot of tools for Christmas present for myself ! But I am thinking I’ll never get one done I will stay with small ones but I keep putting it off
I use blue tac in my diamond painting pens, not sure if that is just a uk thing but it can be called white tac too, like it way better than the wax provided and you barely have to change it
I got the Lac one for christmas and i've really enjoyed doing it thus far!
I can't even imagine having the patience to do such a large picture!!

I usually do the Color’s in order for the whole painting. And keep the colours just in case if I miss a couple as I go

You can completely take away the neck and back pain by using an angle adjustable art desk/drafting desk. I can do it on a flat table at all.

I cant wait to get to working on Lac! 😂 I think also... for next time.. you should consider investing in a large tray then you don't have to shake the tray so often and keep refilling it, you can get them quiet cheep as well on amazon or aliexpress 😂 I could never commit enough to do a huge painting in such a large amount of time I'd burn out 😂
