Another favorite is Star Blazers (Space Battleship Yamato). I highly recommend the updated versions Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 2199 & 2202. Galaxy Express 999 was such a good show covering the questions of humanity and transhumanism. It was great seeing Tetsuo's journey and him having big questions, and learning about what humanity means along the way. A great classic that becomes more and more relevant by the day. Leiji was a legend!
