It’s a damn shame that Politics killed the Real Race Bikes, now we have 4 strokes running all these electronic rider “aids” which is Absolute HorseShit! No factory support to grow motorcycle racing around the world is a sad thing indeed. F1 style rules where anytime anyone feels “slighted” on track there is a complete colonoscopy conducted and it’s all rather absurd. MotoGP is supposed to be Man and Machine at it’s rawest so let’s rip the electronic SoyBoy crap off, slap carbs on ‘em and go racing! Better yet, factories should build 2 stroke Fuel Injected 500cc MotoGP Race Bikes using current tech, leave the electronic “rider aids” off and see who the Real Racers are! I actually just watched a video of my fellow Texan who rode this bike to a championship in 1993 and won 25 GP’s say exactly the same thing! Rossi is the only current Racer who’s ridden a 500 and I don’t believe many of today’s riders would be in the series if we did go back to Real Race Bikes.
Indeed, given the rideability of the 4t engine I don't think they have to have those electronic aids. And the development relevant to the road bikes? We got WSBK for that, MotoGP is prototype racing.
