Mick George operator Sophie Panter-Burke talks to Peter Haddock about working in the plant sector

Peter met up with Sophie on a Mick George mega earthworks project, where she was helping the team to move 1.2m cubic metres of soil for a major commercial project.
In this video, Sophie talks about how she got into the industry, how she is championing diversity and what she likes about being a plant operator. She also explains how she has specialised in operating soil compaction equipment, even though she was driving a new Bell 40 ADT to help out on this project.
Sophie is the type of young operator we really need to attract into the industry and we think she is a great ambassador for our sector.
