Coop is right...Isiah didn't really light up just Coop (who played good D on him).
But the one who I saw in my lifetime really light up Coop? Sleepy Floyd. He really went off in 1987 in game 4 and forced a game 5. Really nothing you can do when someone gets hot like that.

Yup! But the thing that really defines a great (defensive) player - like Coop - is consistency and the will to never back down! Cooper, and the Lakers, got torched by Floyd in game4 like you’ve said, but then in game5 Sleepy was contained and the Lakers won it… because they kept playing their game and didn’t get sidetracked. Especially mentioning Coop now… it didn’t matter, he was always going all out and playing tremendous defense. Obviously that EVEN great defenders will get lit up every once in a while… and Isiah?! He was a beast out there!

Isiah Thomas my hometown hero N does not get any credit for being a basketball 🏀 player in the 1⃣9⃣8⃣0⃣s. Everybody talks about Magic 🪄 Bird 🐦 & Michael but where is Isiah Thomas at. But it's okay 👍 cuz he beat Bird 🐦 Michael & Magic 🪄 to win his first NBA championship 🏆 Chitown Pride!!! I grew up ⬆ watching Isiah Thomas n his career. Thanks 🙏 Isiah for U being U.

"The zone" released after the brokenness like the spirit and the Holy Ghost needs a death. It is the pain that causes the clam to secrete what is necessary to make a pearl. Isaiah wanted it and the pain just made him have something to push through. The zone is humanities theokinesis that cannot always happen because we are dealing with the energy of the creator but we can taste it every now and then.

Detroit was lucky that Bryon Scott AND Magic basically didn't play in the 89 Finals

That was a foul. Body contact is body contact. Plus how about the MULTITUDE of flagrant fouls the Pistons committed that were NOT called?
