Can you bleach a not so much experience wig?... lol I ask because I got my first 4x4 lace front wig and I have no clue about bleaching or how to pluck. I've been wearing Headband Wigs, so the new wig that was $200 is very new and scary. I love the way it looks but I don't want to damaged the wig. It may have only cost $200 but for me , it might as well be $1,000 ...lol I hope you can give me some advice or make a video for TOTALLY BEGINNERS..THANK YOU

@@doylestown8 so I think I figured it out I kept checking my wig like every 10 minutes to make sure if doesn’t overprocess it’s definitely something you’ll be able to tell it stats to turn a brownish color in the knot if that makes sense oh yeah and I felt like I could’ve left my on a little longer but that nothing a little make up can’t fix I hope this helps ❤️

@@nicolev2944 for synthetic wigs youre better off getting a 613 unit and using rit fabric dye to dye the hair (but dont dye the lace or else the knots will also be dyed..)

i think it’s to avoid the knots over bleaching by stopping the bleach from seeping through & to keep the hair out of the way
That's what I'm trying to figure out lol
It creates a barrier so that the bleach doesn’t seep through and bleach the hair. Otherwise you’d have to re-dye the bleached hair.

Yes it’s going to to turn bronze then yellow but you don’t want to over process

Hi, I’m a beginner and I wanted to know do you wash the unit before you bleach it or after? Also what shampoo do I use to wash the hair?
You should wash the unit after you bleach it with any purple shampoo to make the bleach appear more brown than yellow on the wig. The purple shampoo is essentially a toner.

How long you wait depends on the actual hair...just check every 10 minutes with 20 developer and look for a brownish color on your knots

@@dejurecampbell9457 bleaching hair is an exothermic chemical reaction, which means that it generates heat. Metal is a thermal conductor, which can in turn increase the heat of the bleach, especially on your scalp and potentially lead to chemical burns. Sometimes if metal tools are used while bleaching hair, you can see steam coming off of the head. It doesn't matter much on a wig though, the wig can't feel a thing.

Hello, you're not the only one that had this issue. I bleached a unit (my first time) yesterday and the front on my wig got bleached in the proceds.

After these steps, do I tint the lace cause I’m dark skin too ? Do I tint the lace & put make up on or just tint the lace & then use melting spray to glue it down or is it best I buy ghost bond glue ? Or do I use both ? I need help help 😂😂😂😂 pls respond anybody 😭😭
I do both
I’m dark skin. I brush a dark concealer under the lace. I use holding spray to make my bald cap with a “brown” wig cap. I use ghost bond 4 layers. It can last 2 weeks, but I redo it every week.

I would not recommend gluing the lace, Hairspray when applied properly works just as well

so it looks natural and it matches your scalp
it bleached the knots not the actual hair, so it can appear like your actual scalp rather than black little dots

@@shaykidz4 Plucking the hairline is to make it look more natural. Most wigs when you first get them, have a harsh/thick hairline (or just doesn't match your own), which can make it look very "wiggy". You pluck the hairline to make it look more realistic.
