We couldn't believe the line. We talked to the first person in line and he arrived at 9:15 for the 11:00 opening that day. Gentry really enjoyed his chocolate chess pie. We all tried a small bite of it and while it was very rich, it was delicious. It's always sad to see a classic business closed but it will be great that they plan to open up again in a new location. With all of the new skyscrapers being built nearby, we're wondering if they were given an offer from a developer that they couldn't turn down. I get a meat and 3 all the time in the small town I work in over in NC and it comes with a drink and roll and it’s $7.80 with tax, 2 years ago it was $5.50 with tax before this inflation. They have a line out the door daily and it’s all southern cooking and amazing food and worth it. You rarely see these meat and 3 places anymore.

It sees property is so high on certain areas that it’s ore beneficial to close. I imagine they will reopen somehow on utskirts of town or somewhere. The thing about a business like that is they can open anywhere! People will come. They don’t need a prime location.
While we don't know, we're thinking that a developer may have given them an offer for the property that they couldn't refuse. There are a lot of new skyscrapers being built all around the restaurant. It will be interesting to see what happens to the property within the next several months.

Brent mentioned it briefly in the video but it was offset by the cayenne or pepper that they used.
