      Do does the water you inject down the well just replace the volume of the oil you're pulling out of another nearby? What would happen if you didn't do that, a giant sucking sound? 😅🤔🇺🇸

    Preventive maintenance used to be a routine part of business but over the last twenty years but "drive it like a rented mule" to maximize quarterly profits has become the norm. Its good to see some owner operators are looking forward beyond the next report. I always enjoyed the look of surprise on the MBAs face when the machinery failed "unpredictably". Who could have known? :)

    • @sobolanul96
      @sobolanul96 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We have it the same in the factory I work at. Every time machinery fails because they cheap out on parts and maintenance I praise my boss: "Wow boss! it was really worth it saving a couple of thousand euro worth of parts just to loose tens of thousands while the machine sits broken."

    Stainlees and brass together eats the Zinc out of the brass. It goes pink and brittle in spots as the copper is stripped of the Zinc.A slight tap and it breaks like plaster of paris.

    Good clear video. If the water that comes up with the oil in your wells is anything like the water that comes up with the oil in the 90 year old oil field I grew up in, you DO not want it spilled on the ground. There are still bare spots around where the water was spilled on the ground 90 years ago. And this is in Oklahoma, not in the desert.

    Great video and always a great explanation of basic oil field plumbing and the parts needed and why the right parts are important. I was on the drilling side for 25 years and then the drilling and production supply store business for six years. Zach I have ownership of a very small part of a couple of leases that someone pays me (not very much) to use. I inherited these shares from my Great Uncle who was a geologist in the Texas oil fields in the early 1900's. So your videos are very interesting to me. I just watched your video about the old Oklahoma jack pump from 2022. I like that you are still running that old pump that your Grandfather and Great Grandfather drilled in the 1950's! Plus where else would I have learned about jack pumps?
    Thanks for your videos.

    Thanks, good video. On those hose end fittings, swivel JIC flare, put some never-sieze on the backside of the flare, inside between the flare & nut, so that when tightening the nut, the hose doesn't want to turn and the flare's contact/sealing surfaces stay still & don't have a chance to gall/F'up.

    Scoring to the galvanic condition charts stainless steel and copper can corrode together. I’d go and check one of your old connections and see if they are fixed together or not. They do have differently types of anti seize.
    Looks like you need a zinc anti seize to be ok.

    Iworked in plant that was plumbed with stainless and titanium pipe from 1/8” all the way up to 30” pipe. All the big stuff was flanged with stainless bolts and nuts. Brother if you think stainless galls badly try titanium! We never did solve the galling completely. But we did reduce it by adding molybdenum powder to nickel based antisieze . It really helped but i don’t think galling can be completely stopped.

    I use cheap Akaso action cameras. They have their quirks like they only work with their own brand of external microphone and don't have any cordless mic option. But out of the 4 that I have only one gives me trouble and that is because it was in a bicycle crash and hit asphalt lens first in a 15 mph crash. I have 2 older Brave 7 LE's w/o external mic support, 1 Brave 7 LE with external mic support, and a Brave 6 plus with external mic support. I've never lost a single clip, audio or video. For under $200 each I'm happy.

    I typically work on bigger wells in the industry, but always enjoy your videos mate - keep up the great work!
    PS. are you injecting fresh water or produced water (ie. saline)? If it has a decent amount of salinity, you'll want to ensure your injection water is relatively de-oxygenated, or it'll eat through your stainless quicker than you'd think! (pitting corrosion)

    I am wondering how your wife keeps your clothes clean and stain free Zach ?? I like to congratulate you on your keeping things leak free. Dissimilar metal corrosion can be a bitch when you do not know the different grade stainless alloys. The 304 or 316 ST/S should not corrode brass. But one does not really know the different chemicals in the fluid that facilitate galvanic action. I personally just love stainless, once and done for our lifetime. The 316 one to two inch reduction nipple your changed Zach, what is the proper name of the coupling ?? Nice work fella. Shame you do not live close to me as I would just love to work with you on the wells. A job that is never done. Peace and out. vf 😀😀😀
