For me, the saddest part was Kaijuu-Marisa could have easily killed Yorihime as she was finishing off Kaijuu-Reimu, but chose to prioritize saving Reimu instead. Even as a near mindless monster, Marisa and Reimu's friendship took priority over defeating the enemy. Made watching them die that much sadder.

Seeing reimu and marisa sacrifice themself to kill yorihime with a heroic action and very emotional orchestra bgm is really touch my heart especially when reimu saying all the memories she had with marisa and being honestful for the last moment is very emotional...

That Moonlight Descent ceremony was more literal than I honestly expected.
Never before has a characters death made me feel more happy than Yorihime's did.

I like Yorihime’s character in canon Touhou and KKHTA, mostly as a “love to hate” character. Her older sister has this cool fan though, so I don’t detest her as much.

This all started with Koishi going out for a walk for some fish. Ahh good memories. Memories that haunt me at night even to this day. Good times.
I wish Mima would magically appear after Marisa was killed. Being completely pissed that her former apprentice is dead.
The Reimu and Marisa part was really sad especially with the music, but song of the beginning with the moonlight descent ceremony honestly is the saddest part for me, the way the song starts and ends just makes the part hit that much harder, and KKHTA was already hitting really hard.
I only see Yukari/Koishi being able to win because:
1) Yukari is OP
2) Koishi is hard to notice
Yukari will probably try to manipulate a crazy new border or something, that is if there even is a 'good ending' for the residents of Gensokyou. Patchy might help too.
Maybe they just need to kill Koakuma since she's the reason "they can't reincarnate."
+kisamelou23 you could take it a step further and try to convince her that patchouli could be protected from the lunarians so that Koakuma would stop using her power. This actually seems like the most likely thing to happen now.
From what we have seen, Yukari hasn't been able to use her borders in any way shape or form, unless it's because she hasn't managed to control Koishi's body well and her powers are blocked (since Koishi's body dudes with Yukari's) it's hard to say if she would be able to use them at all, but I guess Koishi's ability Is quite beneficial for the two, not being able to use her borders really complicates things.
I honestly don't see a possible way for this to get a happy ending, sure, even if Koakuma it's defeated/killed or stops using the souls of the dead for her benefit and allows them to reincarnate, Gensyoko no longer exists, and the Lunarians completed their plans, so I imagine it would be more of a bittersweet ending, if reincarnation Is an actual thing in the Touhou universe, they would likely reincarnate as just mere humans, and if Koishi doesn't defeat the Lunarians (if that's even possible), they all would be in control of them, unless Yukari somehow manages to create another Gensyoko

So the Human Instrumentality Project plan was a literal thing after all. The Lunarians needed to purify Earth (by abolishing war in the Outside World, passing it to Gensokyo, which caused the people there to become monsters, only to the killed by the Lunarians) all so the Moon and Earth (the couple from 19 Part 3/9) could be reunited again.....
It's apparent in ep14 or so that the Moon capital has one plan, and the moon sisters' moonlight descent ceremony is a plan made secretly to go against it. Dunno what that means atm, personally.
Well, there was an episode that showed that the Watatsukis are satori creatures too. And the Moon personification was upset when the satoris infested the Earth personification, so.....

Watatsuki sisters are actually Satori species that posessed Lunarian bodies. Their real goal is to fill the earth with Satori species, Reuniting Moon with Earth is just an excuse to achieve their goal so the Lunar Capital would support them.

This was the most Heart breaking one yet...
literally crying my eyes out of this, I dont know why, maybe its just a feeling that its the most greatest touhou fanwork of all the time, after marisa and reimu had killed yorihime and they started tro remember their moments while gensokyo still was there, I just coulnd't let a tear not to drop, The greatest fanwork I had ever watched, Hope the 9/9 will be the best ending I could and koishi getting her fishing rod :)

Marisa and Reimu died with honour I was very sad when Marisa died since she is my favourite character in the series but at least she was able to take Yurihime to hell with her.

If she becomes a kaiju, her power to control spacetime is dangerous enough to become one of the biggest threats to Lunarians.
It's highly likely that she was also killed by Yorihime (which is quite difficult to conclude because the fight with Yorihime in the manga is limited by SC rules but it's also possible since the villains in KKHTA are heavily buff).
I think with her ability, she will be an important key in the final parts so she cannot die

As for Shinki, it would be possible if Alice decided to return to makai. (Alice and Yuuka being the connection with the pc 98 era) Yuuka is dead. So making the pc 98 characters appearing for helping Koishi/Yukari resolving the conflict could be a possibility. But I really don't think they will be present in the serie, you know . . . or it would be a big surprise !

As for designating them "kaiju", the moon princess probably just picked all the ones who are convenient to eliminate as "monsters". And took away the people they wanted alive from Gensokyo before night of October 4th happened.

EDIT: you see, in episode 4, she predicted an all out war. She later realised, with the fight between Utsuho and Patchouli, that this was a real thing. After being chased off by Remilia, she and Momiji saw more violent acts, and so fled Gensokyo to the Dream Realm from LOLK. She informed Doremy and Hecatia's Dream Realm body of this problem, and they prepared Junko for saving Gensokyo.
However, with the Lunar Decent Ceremony coming too quickly, they didn't have enough time, and Mecha-Flan destroyed the Great Hakurei Barrier. The residents of Gensokyo were transformed into Kaijus, and Kaiju Suika lead to an all-out war between Gensokyo and the Lunar Capital. Taking advantage of the distraction, Junko set out to stop the Lunarians before it was too late... but was beaten by the Vijokas, as seen in episode 19.6...
However, Aya, who had sadly left Momiji behind, leading to her Kaiju form to be killed in 19.5, Doremy, Hecatica's three bodies and Clownpiece still remain. They are planning on building an army to get revenge for Momiji and Junko, before its too late.
Reimu and Marisa somehow took me, Yorihime, down, so I was unable to warn Toyohime of this... Aya and the army will team up with Yakumo Koishi and will fight the Moon Rabbits. Yakumo Koishi and Toyohime will have a sword fight with their Third Eye Tendrils, and the two armies will clash in a huge battle.
