  • Tom Cornelius, 3M™ Application Engineer, goes through the 3M™ Standard Operating Procedure detailing how to perform a panel repair on a large, damaged area. In the fourth episode Tom shows the best practices and some tips and tricks for working with body filler
    Important
    Always wear proper PPE: Safety glasses, protective gloves, respirator and anything else required for the job. This video is intended for a professional setting such as a body shop or paint shop. Make sure to check OEM recommendations for all adhesives to confirm you’re using the correct product for the job.
    Important considerations before starting (00:30)
    Apply the filler immediately after sanding down to bare metal and cleaning.
    Working with hardener (01:05)
    Make sure to properly knead the hardener to thoroughly mix it.
    Mixing body filler and hardener (01:42)
    Fold and flatten the filler to prevent air entrapment.
