  • Tom Cornelius, 3M Application Engineer, goes through the 3M Standard Operating Procedure detailing how to perform a panel repair on a large, damaged area. In the sixth episode Tom finishes sanding the filler that we applied earlier.
    Important notes
    Always wear proper PPE: Safety glasses, protective gloves, respirator and anything else required for the job. This video is intended for a professional setting such as a body shop or paint shop. Make sure to check OEM recommendations for all adhesives to confirm you’re using the correct product for the job.
    Reapply dry guide coat (00:59)
    Always use dry guide coat when sanding filler.
    Block sand the repair area (01:01)
    Start with 150-180 grit.
    Final filler sanding step (01:54)
    Dry guide coat and 150-180 grit
