Probably the best, easy to follow, money saving, lure making vids i`ve seen and all using easy to source materials.......fantastic !!!! I love my lure fishing and will definately be making some spinnerbaits, instead of paying a fortune for them. The mackerel feather type lures etc...... could easily be used/adapted for perch, zander, pike and chub,on an light lure or fly rod.
Cheers Dave, i bought the split rings from my local tackle shop which was complete surprise as he never normally has much in that line, every time i go he tries to sell me carp gear, but i cannot't complain he gave me feeder a rod this week. Often I buy from ebay, a lot of small tackle shops use ebay to sell stuff.
You, sir, are a magician. I usually tend to search Indonesian you tube channels as many people there live under extreme poverty and come up with ingenious ideas for making lures, rigs, and floats. Unfortunately, I can’t follow the language. Thanks for publishing your unique solutions without expensive machinery
Now this is absolutely amazing , how you're making great looking lures from rather common materials , ...that skirt ist just stunning ! Hats off to you , ...cheers , 61diemai
I made one using your instructions yesterday and today I caught my first fish on my homemade spinner bait thank you for the instructions it was interesting and gratifying

the wire is .040" S/steel and 8" long, in the US i would guess mudhole, jannsnetcraft, barlows, lureparts, ebay . Alternatives are S/teel mig or tig welding wire if you know a welder Thanks
My motivation for making things has never been to save money or time, just out of interest. In the UK spinnerbaits are rarely stocked by tackle shops, my local shop doesn't keep them and the next nearest charges over $10 per lure.
I saw many different techniques to make spinners, but none wore elastic fyber of ropes, this is an excelent idea, because even you make the spinnerbait, adaptating hook, wire and the spinners, anyway you had to buy the bristles.
nice one have followed your description and so easy to make ,As you say here in uk can't get them that easy question what size is the split ring and where to buy them from all answer's happly recieved subscribed waiting for more fab idea's cheers dave
I've ordered some special so-called "Quick Skirts" or "E-Z Skirts" from US Ebay last year , needed them for some homemade topwater lures , ...otherwise hard to obtain over here , too , .......and if possible , just too costly . Cheers , 61diemai
Replacement arrived!By the way, I did forget to mention that the original lure did have a decent strike however as most anglers will attest you can get a hit th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 and fish will hang on and release lure. I used the replacement lure yesterday and ran thru a Shimano Waxwing, Kastmaster, Bobber (set to sink). I found the does run deep (I casting on the flats 3.5'). Make sure you adjust your rate of retrieve and rod tip angle (up) to prevent getting snagged on bottom. Used it a couple of times and action was very lifelike (looked like local bait fish for trevally), craftsmanship very good....however eyeball fell out. I asked for replacement and it is on it's way! It was very easy to change out treble to single inline hook.
I love all of your videos. It stinks that you dont bass fish since you (I assume) live in the UK. Some of the lures can be carried over to my fishing and are perfect.
Hello..I had watch ur all video all most..N I really like it..thanks for everything..bt I wanna know how jitterbug is made..So can u plz make new video how to make jitterbug..Plz..
hello, i just have to say thank you! we really learn how to make our self lures! sorry for ask, but what kind of metal wire did you use to make all these lures?
i use different types of wire for different projects, often tig and mig s/steel wires and sometimes spinner wires. There is normally a link to a list of tools and materials under each video in the description. Thanks
hello friend, my name is rafael, I'm from Brazil, wanted to know if you have these virtual measures ready for printing, or could indicate some site where I can find. Thanks buddy, great video

Hello Paul, I from Brazil and I watched your videos and liked a lot, I learned a lot of, and so, I would like to know where I can find this sheet with the template to print. I would be very happy if you can help me make my own spinners. here in the region where I live, has a lot peacock bass, and would like to try these baits. Thanks a lot, and sorry by my bad english.
this seems a lot more difficult and doesn't seem like it would be much if any cheaper than just buying a spinnerbait from the store, other than that it was a great instructional video
The only difference was is it was a little bit smaller because I didn't put it up to size and I used a bullet weight and I cut the tip off the nose of the bullet weight with the wire inside and I was able to pass the wire through but it works thank you
The wire i used came from a fishing tackle shop it is 8” x .040” stainless steel straight spinning wire. cheers there is a link in the video description to my blog with list of tools and materials, thanks
because they have no action. they're good for little finesse jigs and stuff but for a moving bait such as a spinnerbait a regular skirt gives it a much more lifelike swimming action
Another way to make a clevis is to cut a length of thickish copper wire ,tap it flat each end ,drill a small hole in each flat bend to shape. Not my idea, I saw this on the net, might have been here ...

Hands down, one of the best DIY fishing vids I've seen in a while. Nicely done.

great video! Don't know if I'll ever make one but I really enjoyed the skill and creativity involved.
I made one using your instructions yesterday and today I caught my first fish on my homemade spinner bait thank you for the instructions it was interesting and gratifying
I am glad you caught a fish, I remember the first fish I caught with this it took me by surprise, I was not sure how well it would work, thanks
Glad you liked it, i cannot get hold of spinnerbait skirts from the tackle shops in my city so this was a compromise.
Perfect tutorial ! I also tried INDIANA blade shape instead of COLORADO ( too sensitive), and had wonderful fishing day.

Just made my first spinner baits, they have turned out brilliantly.

Stephen Flood Thanks and good luck with the old fish.
that's cool...looks like fun way to spend a dull winter here....
Very simple..
amazing...
a big hug from Brazil...
Awesome! I’m gonna to try to build my one spinnerbait using that way!!! Simple and not too expensive!!! Thanks for sharing!
Make a video of you catching a fish with it! That would be so rewarding! I'm going to try it. Great job, great video
I am japanese.
Your technology is very wonderful.
the wire is .040" S/steel and 8" long, in the US i would guess mudhole, jannsnetcraft, barlows, lureparts, ebay . Alternatives are S/teel mig or tig welding wire if you know a welder
Thanks
Something to do during snow storms this winter!
My motivation for making things has never been to save money or time, just out of interest. In the UK spinnerbaits are rarely stocked by tackle shops, my local shop doesn't keep them and the next nearest charges over $10 per lure.
Awesome job man! Very creative.
You, my friend, are a GENIOUS.
Exelentes videos Paul, muy muy buenos!!!

Use the Texas Rig "weight trick." When you're fishing in heavy cover we stick a toothpick inside the same hole as the weight to wedge it into place.
nice one have followed your description and so easy to make ,As you say here in uk can't get them that easy
question what size is the split ring and where to buy them from
all answer's happly recieved
subscribed waiting for more fab idea's
cheers dave
gracias,
I'm going to try that too, it's amazing and love do make things and even more if they work😅
Nice video. Easy way to make it.
Nice video ! What kind of powder paint you use ?
Nicely done Paul. It is amazing, once you break it down, how simple some lures are to make. Have you ever dyed the rubber strands?
I've ordered some special so-called "Quick Skirts" or "E-Z Skirts" from US Ebay last year , needed them for some homemade topwater lures , ...otherwise hard to obtain over here , too , .......and if possible , just too costly . Cheers , 61diemai

Great video Paul, gonna try to have a go myself. Will now subscribe to your channel thanks

thank you so much. can we hunt in salt water with this?
Good looking lure!
Very interesting, thanks. Bungee cord for the skirt, what an idea.
for sure. i have been searching for such a solution for months

gauge = 19

Hello Paul, will a coat of apoxy polish up the eye of the spinner?
yes
Paul Adams I am just painting mine with brush paint, and then this nail stuff that you use, where would you get it from?
my daughter
Paul Adams aha, if I painted mine with paint brush, and then just bought a cheep bottle of that nail stuff online, will that give a good finish?
i buy these at my local tackle shop for about £0.30 each
The only difference was is it was a little bit smaller because I didn't put it up to size and I used a bullet weight and I cut the tip off the nose of the bullet weight with the wire inside and I was able to pass the wire through but it works thank you
Paul is how you make a video teaching how to make a feather jig. thank you
Where do you get your copper or brass sheet from?
How badass is that?!
very cool. tnx mate .
Thanks , good idea!
what cand of metal tho you use to make the wing
Very cool. Thx!
where can you order that wire or wat gauge that i can get it from a hardware store
do you think stainless tig rods would work?
i would give them a go, the tig rods i use for balsa lures don't have much spring so you may need to rebend them from time to time
Cheers
Plz Paul I really want to see making jitterbug fishing lure from An Artist like u..so plz plz plz...Paul will u do it for me..
Does it have to be a spinning wire?
Very good
Very Nice
What wire do you use?
muito bom
Would I be able to find this wire at a hardware store? What gauge is it if so
The wire i used came from a fishing tackle shop it is 8” x .040” stainless steel straight spinning wire. cheers there is a link in the video description to my blog with list of tools and materials, thanks
Simple stuff. The only difficult part is finding the wire and sheets of metal.
Fuzzy Ewok coke can and paper clip ;)
why do you never see bucktail spinnerbaits instead of PVC skirt?
because they have no action. they're good for little finesse jigs and stuff but for a moving bait such as a spinnerbait a regular skirt gives it a much more lifelike swimming action
Excelente muy bueno
Wow varry nice I'm parchess this lure 200
i find that sometimes the fish like to nip at the blades so ill do an extra couple turns where the blade attaches to the wire:p
Great idea unfortunately can't download pdf. Scrbd won't allow it even though I have subscribed. Hope it's not a have.
It looks simple... just looks my first wasn't a great success. a working processes of course ^^
Can you use a spinner bait off a jetty
Where can i get drilled weighs from
Dude, you really are the fuckin man. Awesome videos.

Nice vid. What was the wire called? The vid was nice but it kept pausing to load.-_-
SaltwaterFreshwaterPro This is stainless steel wire normally sold as spinner making wire
