Why can’t Newcastle help them out? It could be a great club for our youngsters to go out on loan especially if Gateshead FC gets promoted and plays in the EFL League!
Expect a Prem Club to help out a neighbour, you’re having a laugh. Then again Gateshead didn’t handle the Aldershot affair very well after making them travel up there twice to play a fixture.
Truly feel bad for Gateshead FC absolute disgrace with what is happening to the club being kicked out off the play offs Gateshead Council should have done more to improve the stadium for preparation to get it ready for promotion to League 2
Thanks for the report from hebburn town..shame we couldn't clinch promotion on Tues night but we go again on Saturday against Sheffield when hope a win will get us there...love to see that you cover all levels of North east football..hebburn great club well supported and great facilities...thanks again 😅

I was at the Hebburn game it’s my home town gutted they lost that game at home was hoping for the title that night but they got the job done away at Sheffield on the last game off the season CHAMPIONS!!! ⚽️🐝
But the fact it would be ground sharing with Newcastle United Womens team and Gateshead FC would make it complicated. In the WSL games on Saturday would be chosen live by Sky Sports which would have first dibs over Gateshead and the EFL, in theory you probably could buy the stadium but you also need to spend millions to improve the other stands. 3/4 of the stadium would be unusable with bad weather due to no roof / protection for fans as I learnt the hard way over the summer 😅
I don't think Gateshead would be screwed if they shared with a WSL Newcastle team. The women play most of their games on a Sunday, there is a lot of flexibility to move fixture timings in that league, very few kick off at 3pm on a Saturday. If Gateshead could play their games on a Friday night then surely they would be in with a chance of boosting their crowd with people who would normally attend Newcastle FC (mens) fixtures, just like Tranmere used to do with the Merseyside teams.
Feel bad for the Gateshead brothers hopefully a lifeline comes your way. This council is screwing you over badly and I feel bad for the players who’s grafted this season. As a toon fan you’ve got my support!
You would need someone to buy the stadium but it is expensive for what you get out for it, it’s just not a good football stadium despite the good capacity
@@AdamPearson1242 it’s about the communities of bringing people together and football is mostly everyone’s passion. If it’s not making them heaps of money they’ll want the money back.
Would sort of understand the council if the team was rock bottom, but this is bonkers after all the hard work put in by the club. Surprised there's not a lot more fans there standing up against this.
Hate it when small or upcoming clubs get cut but this take the piss I’m not a Gateshead fan but I would love to see non league teams be in the top league cause wanna see big moments where non league move to higher division but why don’t we put big clubs swap with non league and see what they like if Gateshead have Man City money and Gateshead play at either Man City stadium or st James park in Newcastle and put big clubs in non league shoes respect to all the non leagues teams pushing everything they got and fuck the government good luck Gateshead finger cross hope you get it sorted 🤞🤞🤞⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️⚫️
No that wouldn’t work, Sky has the right with the WSL to have the womens team play on the Saturday if they want to broadcast the match. The EFL would argue against it as their laws / guidelines are separate from womens football
@@AdamPearson1242 sad and this actually means the club will never get out of the national league unless they get a new stadium or some form of partnership with a club near them (Newcastle 👀) Because this was the closest the club got to a promotion in League Two.
Half of these protesters probably dont even attend matches, ive been on several occasions as a visiting supporter and your home attendance is poor.the ground itself is horrendous good distance from the pitch and doesnt even have a roof on the away stand.
Gateshead international stadium to be renamed Gateshead not Even a national stadium. Hopefully everyone will vote this council out. Years ago a purchase offer went in but the council were quite happy to take the rent so it never happened.
Nottingham Forest fan here, we have a problem with our city council who want to increase the rent from 250,000 pounds to 1.2 million pounds that is what happens when you have a Labour council
How does the 10 year thing work? One year into a 10 year agreement, you no longer have 10 years, you only have 9! You cant continually have a 10 year agreement
I would assume Gateshead FC have come to the end of their 10 year agreement with the council refusing to renew the stadium lease for an additional 10 years
I want us to but the stadium is not worth it in Newcastle United’s point of view, the PIF will all due respect would only help Gateshead if it benefited us first
