Holy Smokes! The trap is placed here because we have seen it walk out of the shed, along the front of the shed, and then go up the deck and scratch on the window. We put the trap right in its normal walking path. We are baiting the trap with an egg, something we have successfully used dozens of times.
For whatever it’s worth we always take a shop towel and put behind the trap’s pan and pour dog food on it Used all other kinds of baits and catch everything we didn’t want to Dog food they can’t leave alone for some reason
Never thought I’d be watching a couple farmers making moo sounds on TH-cam 🤣. I guess we just as crazy as you two for watching. Love it. Keep them coming 👍🏻
You would be amazed how many make moo sounds. My boss when he haulers to bring in cattle sounds like mooo(u)ooo while I yell at my cattle "come boss, that means get over here" Ranchers are a different breed 🤣
That was sure fun listening to you too gentleman irritating that mama cow and how different her “moo” was compared to other cows…Your Dad is just a riot!! I love to hear your guises comments about the calves, as well…. I grew up in a family of 12 children and men are the same about their livestock as my mother was about her children and that is they preferred the boys but what I don’t understand is it’s the females that give you all the new babies. I’ve never been able to figure that one out!!!! I know I’ve said this before but every day you guys are doing something interesting because there’s always equipment that needs to be taken care of whether it’s taken apart and fixed or cleaned; Barns to clean out; Moving fences; checking on Calves; etc. Ranch as big as yours is NEVER boring with all the many Jobs their are to Do!!!! Really enjoyed your sense of humor and The daily songs! Thank you for making your videos for our benefit. I really love your ranch and I hope you get the moisture you need very soon. Nice looking cattle very nice❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️❣️
Cole love the videos. Going through a divorce right now after 26yrs together. Found out she has been cheating with a coworker for almost 2yrs. Kicked her to the curb. Your videos have really helped take my mind off the BS. So just Thanks kid👍👍👍
Delighted to see ivermectin being used properly!! Maybe you should add some wet wipes to your meds cart for those poopy moments? Always awed by the finesse you two have operating heavy equipment. Happy to see some ingenious camera shots, Cole! you two are Renaissance men! 💕💕
Hope you an help that mother cow get healthy again. It's probably too late for her to get good enough to produce milk for her calf, but getting her healthy would save her life. Thanks for another good video!
This brings back all the smells! Miss those days. Spring has finally arrived momentarily in Louisville. Getting ready for the Kentucky Derby 🐎⚘️ Always enjoy your dad's stories!
As dad and I were replacing parts on the Landoll and getting our fingers cut, smashed, and drowned in hydraulic oil, I casually said to him, " Farming... its not a job, its a lifestyle!" Note to self... NEVER say that to a guy that's bleeding and has a 5 pound sledge hammer in his hand.
Brian talking about retirement like he won't be in a tractor til his last day.🤣 Glad you finally got the 'poke the stick in the hole' talk from your Dad, Cole. 😁
This is an exceptionally great vid! You and your dad are in stellar form, playing off each other like well honed comedians!! Keep the good times comin’!!
Cole and Brian thanks for another great video. Most interesting and enjoyable. Another day on the farm. Brian, another good song of the day pick. Has good music and good words with it. Easy to sing along music. Thanks Brian. Appreciate the good care you give your new herd. You brought some new ones and you work them over with meds to give them a good start with you. Cole and Brian you are good herdsmen by far !!!!!!!!!! My compliments to both of you. Interesting to hear you raised hogs at one time Brian. Hogs are a lot of work. We used to raise a few way back then. I know without asking you did good with them. Interesting hearing your history on the farm. Good to see mr. Jeff if only for a short while. Strange that bottle fed calf does not come to you right away when you have the milk. Most will come to you right away. Planter ready to go-ya!!!’ Time will be here soon. Talking about planter maintenance, ZK the John Deere mechanic just had a super video on with Zach Johnson all about planter upkeep. You might want to take a look at it. Was good stuff, I learned a lot. Good count on your caves. Good calf season for you. Nice herd you have. About it for now. You both take care and be safe. Looking forward to the next video. Thanks for everything you do for us so we can follow along. The Iowa farm boy. Steve. Looking forward to your bull sale day!!!!! Know you will do well!!!!!!!
Glad you grabbed the mafia blocks. They are so handy. That rebar in the top for a chain should be 2/3 through the block. Nice and strong for lifting. Hope you guys get some rain soon. Thanks for sharing.
The only thing better than seeing uncle Jeff on a quad bike is seeing a notification pop up from sonne farms saying bull day, getting really excited as I’ve been waiting like a child for Christmas so I shut myself away from the family and click on it to discover it’s an 11 second short of a man on his hands and knees doing things to a bull that I wasn’t expecting! You’ve redeemed yourself though as you went to the infamous storla station 👍🏻
Hello Cole lololo u heared the old saying father knows best ( I was referring to the pressure washer lolo ) . looking forward to watching your wire roller in action. Take care Johnny
Don't you just love those ornery calves! Hope you get some rain soon, it's still coming down here, 5 inches in the last week. We never turn down rain though, like you guys know, it'll quit soon enough!
Another AWESOME video Cole. Love seeing Jeff. I am glad that Mr. B is going to retire, but I will really miss him alot. Love how you and your dad work together. Thank you Cole and Mr. B
Colored tape, Cole, to help you recall which wrench goes with which piece of machinery. Just wrap a bit around the handle of the wrench, and if you can't get tape to stick on the machinery, then try matching colored spray paint near the bolt you need to loosen.
Can't get over how well you guys work together. I want to know if you are always in such good frames of mind. Congratulations if you are. Love your video's Cole.
I have a few - very few - videos that I watch. I gotta say, I feel at home with these farmers. I was born on a prairie farm (my birth certificate has the land description for place of birth), and I feel a kinship with these guys. I get their humor, I get the farming risks - I just get it. I'm a retired credit union manager, so my career took me away from farming. But, my fantasies always involve farming, even after all these years, and Sonne farms inspires me. Thanks for the videos, Cole and Brian. Good luck on "bull day".
Hey guys finally figured how to leave a message.I was watching a segment where you were watering noticed you don’t have a stick or 2x4 in your tank . We use to put one in just in case an animal got in gives it a way to climb out so it doesn’t drown and contaminate the tank just thought I’d say something love the show good luck and be safe
10:15 thanks for the review of how the planter works, it all makes sense now. The vacuum to hold the seed is ingenious - I thought it was just held in a small compartment, but that doesn't seem very robust. It was invented by Ralph Tweedale at Massey Furgeson, Detroit, MI, in 1962.
Brian, retirement? Really? You have been busy selling cattle left and right over the last several videos and instead of enjoying a little breather what do you do? You go and buy 90 “it’sha” Machines to pump corn through. Just admit it, it’s in your bones, you love it. You guys are awesome.
Did you give her a magnet. The ones that have silver rings around it are said to be stronger than others. Would not hurt to give an antibiotic. We always gave heifers a magnet once they started to eat silage.
Brian knew he was gonna say it, I knew he was gonna say it........... everybody knew he was gonna say it ..... Brian, "tell me what it is".......... Cole,"it's a calf..........😂 stay safe guys
Always like seeing how much is or could be going on at any one time, true farm life, always looking forward to the next video! Cole, how up are you on the tunes and choosing a song of the day when your time comes? Rock, Country maybe a little of both, you've got a hard act to follow! Not trying to run Brian off, hope to here from him for many years to come, he always impresses! Seeing you guys work together is what adds to the glue of family sticking together and learning as things progress so fast now days.
Holy Smokes! The trap is placed here because we have seen it walk out of the shed, along the front of the shed, and then go up the deck and scratch on the window. We put the trap right in its normal walking path. We are baiting the trap with an egg, something we have successfully used dozens of times.
I've noticed they love chicken heads they ate 18 in 1 night last time I had chickens
Eggs work. Have had success with sardines as well. Just get ‘‘em out before Ellie gets to it! Great channel
Good luck catching the racoon definitely let us know if u do
For whatever it’s worth we always take a shop towel and put behind the trap’s pan and pour dog food on it
Used all other kinds of baits and catch everything we didn’t want to
Dog food they can’t leave alone for some reason
Try a donut. Always worked for me in the past, raccoon pass up everything for a donut, so would I.
Never thought I’d be watching a couple farmers making moo sounds on TH-cam 🤣. I guess we just as crazy as you two for watching. Love it. Keep them coming 👍🏻
Thanks so much!

That's the plan Stan, my name is Cole. The comedic timing is outstanding!
Cole is it just me or does your Dad enjoy the livestock part a lot more than anything else on Farm...Brian just seems to smile a lot more...
I notice how at 5:44 Cole is practicing to be Queen of England with the waving.
Delighted to see ivermectin being used properly!! Maybe you should add some wet wipes to your meds cart for those poopy moments? Always awed by the finesse you two have operating heavy equipment. Happy to see some ingenious camera shots, Cole! you two are Renaissance men! 💕💕
Brian, you finally named a song that I know and love.
You’re not as complicated as I thought. Haha 👍
Great video Cole! Looking forward to what’s next!
Love watch y'alls antics!!
'Not that kind of bowl you Hippies' 🤣 Happy 420
Hope you an help that mother cow get healthy again. It's probably too late for her to get good enough to produce milk for her calf, but getting her healthy would save her life. Thanks for another good video!
"My name's Cole", he says. That made me chuckle.
Cole you got to remember we old folk weren't born yesterday, some of us have acquired knowledge and experience.
Great job - have a great week!!!!!
This brings back all the smells! Miss those days. Spring has finally arrived momentarily in Louisville. Getting ready for the Kentucky Derby 🐎⚘️

Hit The Road Jack! My names Cole! 🤣😂😂🤣🙏❤️🥰love your humour guys!
Brian talking about retirement like he won't be in a tractor til his last day.🤣
Glad you finally got the 'poke the stick in the hole' talk from your Dad, Cole. 😁
🙏🏻Hope you get that rain.
This is an exceptionally great vid! You and your dad are in stellar form, playing off each other like well honed comedians!! Keep the good times comin’!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty meadowlark singing, I love that so much.
Hope you catch that rascal soon, they sure are a nuisance.
I presume you put a magnet in that thin cow...it's amazing how fast they usually recover! Good luck!
Cole and Brian thanks for another great video. Most interesting and enjoyable. Another day on the farm.

Something new. Animal sound of the day.
Great video Cole I could listen to your dad all day he always has a good story to tell 👌
Good video Cole, Brian, Jeff, and Ellie.
Glad you grabbed the mafia blocks. They are so handy. That rebar in the top for a chain should be 2/3 through the block. Nice and strong for lifting. Hope you guys get some rain soon. Thanks for sharing.
You looked like an athlete catchin that calf at the end 😂

Great video 👍😉👍
Gotta love a clean green machine.
Brian is awful happy (not that he isn't usually) Bull sale prep must be going well!
Colored tape, Cole, to help you recall which wrench goes with which piece of machinery. Just wrap a bit around the handle of the wrench, and if you can't get tape to stick on the machinery, then try matching colored spray paint near the bolt you need to loosen.
Brian’s a professional with that head gate operation. Nice work!
Nice to see its warming up...
That means its back to the fields soon..

Uncle Jeff is the most fun. Thats right Cole stays home to keep things together while Brian and Uncle Jeff go fishing for king salmon. LOL

You guys are great hey The coffee cup organizer on the counter is nice you should really advertise it

How is Storla Station doing? I hope very well. Love the gate Cole, you did a great job. Thanks for a great video.
Decent, certainly some good days, some not so good days :)
Hopefully you can get some moisture here and there. We are terrible dry in NW Iowa. Can’t seem to catch a break. Good luck with planting.
