Great breakdown of the cards. And yep. They’re right there to take the crown. Given what they’ve done with Journey and Attune, the premium card will be FUN. Awesome video Monty
Currently doing my own trifecta with the Autograph, Attune, and Capital One Venture X as my catch all. Great benefits on the Venture X that more than make up for the annual fee and there's a Wells Fargo transfer partner that matches up with a Capital One transfer partner for all three alliances so I can combine all of my points/miles!
That's an incredible setup! I love the Capital One Venture X and use it as my catch all too. Yes there's a lot of value in diversifying across different points currencies. As you pointed out, there are overlapping partners and you'll get great coverage across the 3 alliances.
That’s awesome! I’m also working towards building this same setup, but I will add the savor one for groceries. In my opinion this is the most powerful underrated quadfecta out there!!
@@MontyTheCardNerd I just got the Venture X, so I’m gonna have to wait six months to try it out, but I will go for the attune first and then finish my set up with the SavorOne in about 1 year so wish me luck! When you’re able to get the Savor you should consider making a video about this awesome quadfecta!!
I like my WF Autograph card and will sign up for the Attune soon. I just wish their breakdown and description of the points earned with the multiplier in their mobile app is easier laid out like other issuers.
Awesome that you'll be building the WF combo, the overall multipliers really are powerful. Oh that's unfortunate but good to know, I've never used WF's mobile app. Probably best to get that information from their website or other credible sources.
Kudos to WF for giving bonus points for categories that no one else rewards. Just needs more transfer partners and I think it’ll be another staple to have
It’s solid but WF approvals are no less sensitive than Chase which makes their cards only valuable to those that get approved. I roll with Amex they don’t blink at my steady applications and have given me any card I’ve literally wanted Amex is KING.
It's awesome that you've been getting consistent approvals for Amex cards! I'm actually in the opposite situation where Chase has been friendly to me but I've been stuck in Amex pop-up jail for some time.
This card is very unpredictable. I tried it on Uber even though its listed on their site as an example. It didn't work. I tried it at a nursery and steam purchase and it didn't work. It all depends on how its coded in the system. Sportsman Warehouse, Disney +, Apple TV and my hair cutter worked. I would like to use it on a ski pass, but not sure it will work.
You bring up a very important point ... the way a charge is coded in an issuer's system may be unexpected. I've noticed this especially on purchases outside of the US. I've also seen differences between issuers. That's frustrating that the Attune card isn't coding things as a 4x category when it probably should. Thanks for sharing your experience.
I tried to focus the discussion in this video on the credit cards themselves rather than my thoughts on the issuer. That said, I totally understand your sentiment towards Wells Fargo, they don't have the best reputation to say the least.

A premium Autograph card would be intriguing. I imagine more transfer partners would have to come 1st. Thanks for watching Matt!

@@andreabelt10 A powerful quadfecta indeed! Good luck with adding the Savor One, I haven't been successful with my (multiple) application attempts.

@@andreabelt10 Great plan & great video idea! I'll be sure to convey how triumphant i feel with the approval if it ever happens.
Amazon is the reason I'll keep the Attune card - everything has earned 4% back for me, not just streaming/books/ebooks.
Wow 4% on Amazon is certainly a hidden superpower on the card. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for breaking down the attune categories
4% on pet care is low key amazing
Yeap, so easy for the many pet owners out there to get consistent value from!

Do you need a wells fargo bank account to pay off statements for the active cash card? or can you use another bank account to pay it?
I don't believe you need a WF bank account.

Agreed, WF has created some powerful earner cards and the next step for them should be more redemptions options.
Really great breakdown! But Monty, it’s WF we’re talking about here 😩
Haha yeap WF has some ways to go to improve its reputation. Thanks for watching Mark!

WF getting into the credit card game
They've certainly made a statement with their 2024 moves.
The earning is nice. But without the added benefits that Amex and Chase trifectas offer these really fall flat
Yeap if one can get more organic value from the benefits compared to the annual fees, those trifectas (the CSR version for Chase) are preferable.
Whoever uses Wells Fargo, has terrible understanding of their finances. Do more research on this bank before going in.
