    I just wanted to say that I really appreciate you and your videos. You are an amazing lady and I enjoy all your videos and have learned quite a lot from you and a few other choice soapers out there. I know you’re no longer selling your products but I’m so very glad you are still doing videos. I hope your husband is doing well and you are enjoying your time with him and your family. All my best wishes to you and yours and thank you again for sharing your knowledge and time with all of us.❤️

    Alot of people don't like banana which i just don't understand!! They all say it's a texture thing. But i love bananas in my strawberry banana yogurt. I get 5 to 6 bananas at least once or twice a week. I've always got them on my counter. If i run out of have only one left i panic!!! I also love banana candy like Laffy Taffy banana or any hard candy that's flavored with it. I love them and i love how they smell. I've even got some shampoo and hairspray that's smells slightly like it. It's Chi and i get it from Academy of hair design school.

    The English as a Second Language teacher in me is here to say that the way you pronounce calendula, with the stress on the second syllable, is correct :D

    Great video. look up nature's flavors (they are US based) they have a huge range of natural and organic fragrance oils, they have banana and other sugary smells also, if you're wanting a natural banana fragrance. they are pretty affordable also. I'm from Australia and I buy their amazing oils, i love the Jasmine

    Put some freezer paper on your cutter. It will slide easier.

  • @chellemotsinger1200
    @chellemotsinger1200 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Next time put a piece of paper or freezer paper the size of you splitter and set the soap on that and it will glide thru more easily

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks! That's a great idea😀

      @@EllenRuthSoap yes I've seen other soapers do it it just glides right though the cutter you'll love it ophilia soaps does it I love watch her cut them that way I hope thats not weird 🙄

    • @EllenRuthSoap
      @EllenRuthSoap  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      not weird at all, I love her videos! That was my first time using the cutter, and I didn't realize it has a lip on it that goes off the table for traction... After I figured that out, it was much easier, but I really like the freezer paper idea for a smoother run thru...

    Every time I use milk in my soaps they get a crack down the middle and I don't cover mine. I try to put them in the refrigerator for an hour then take them out. The cracking happens all the time.

    • @EllenRuthSoap

    Just a tip, perhaps unnecessary: save your banana peels! Eat the banana, put the peels in the freezer, in a ziplock bag, when you have enough, run the frozen peels through a blender for a fine powder(define your own version) just toss the stems into the compost before(or after if you dont mind wasting the freezer space) freezing, they've got the same nutritional benefits, but are just too thick and string to bother attempting with your poor blender.

    I've never heard it pronounced the other way ever. It's always been pronounced calendula and I've never heard syllable pronounced the way you said it.
