This is another sequel I didnt know existed somehow. I watched the original not too long ago and that was my second time seeing it. I felt more of a connection this time watching it as a musician. The musical parts are where it really shines. There's so much energy and soul in it. idk about this one though. There are so many silly parts maybe I'll watch it for the soundtrack....or I'll just listen to the soundtrack by itself; who knows xD Solid review ;)

13:31, As the Blockbuster Buster once said when he reviewed this bad film so many Years ago........."DID ANYBODY JUST SEE HIM FLY THROUGH THE ROOF AND MAGICALLY CHANGED CLOTHES??"
Even for a Blues Brothers movie it doesn't make any sense and the 1st Film wasn't THAT supernaturel.
I mean, it can if it want to, but it should make sense, not trying to confuse people like me.

12:10, Despite how random this part is, its also creepy, too.
And yet, nobody seemed bothered by it and I have no idea how EVERYONE DOES NOT SEE THOSE SKELETON COWBOYS ON HORSES IN THE SKY!!!

This movie DOES have a redeeming quality because the music is quite good. It's just everything else is excrement.

To be fair, Aykroyd and Landis have effectively disowned the film because of the changes that were imposed on them by Universal (making it more family friendly, ramping up the fantasy sequences, etc). Given they were both going through a career slump at the time, it's understandable they acquiesced. It's a poor and utterly unnecessary sequel for sure, but I don't think it devalues the original in any way. It seems to have joined 2010, The Two Jakes and An American Werewolf in Paris as one of those legacy sequels that no one remembers.

The only thing the Film somewhat got right is the Music.
The Music isn't THAT terrible to begin with.

While I do agree that this sequel was pointless, I disagree with the statement that it has no redeeming qualities. The songs and musical numbers are actually pretty good when judged on their own. If one is a fan of old school blues music , then the soundtrack is worthwhile.
Let me say as a member of Gen X , I really don’t understand the appeal of a video where a millennial feels the need to drop the F bomb every other word to convey he doesn’t like a movie .

The language is for comedic purposes, and as for the songs I did mention on several occasions that the soundtrack was good.

@@theanalyst9592but you also said it had no redeeming qualities. So that’s a bit of a contradiction. When you front load your video with lots of obscenities and snarky comments , which were pretty unnecessary and not very funny, you risk people not sticking around for the rest of what you have to say . Glad you admit at least the music is good .

I wasent referring to the soundtrack when I said no redeeming qualities, aside from that the hatred is deserved.
