This was a great video! I found myself trying to design my flower jars that I take to market. Freelanced weddings for about 11 yrs...but ordered in all the flowers. Plus worked full time.. whew too much pressure! Now retired and fell into farmer's market bout 12 yrs. ago. I like your prospective on what you do. I also..don't like fooling around with changing prices, and I usually have similar flowers all yr.. So adding a little bit of" interest" from a seed pod to a filler, makes a big difference . Working alone and being older ...keeping things simple, but interesting, can be a challenge. Downside for me is, my area is so rural, the pricepoint has to stay low. Love what you do!
Thank you! I can’t tell you how many videos I’ve watched before this one, search over. Love listening to you, thank you for sharing your wealth of experience (Sophie in UK)
Watched your video last night and gave it a try tonight. I had to come back to say thank you, thank you, thank you!! Truly it made all the difference in elevating my market bouquets using the same flowers I was using before. Please keep sharing :)
Wow! Thanks for telling me that, I am absolutely thrilled for your advancements and that my lil video was able to help you so much! Thanks for your encouragement!
Ever so helpful and I have been thinking along these lines, growing how I want the bouquets to go together. Makes sense. And your category’s, love that. Made it simplified so thank you!And technology, oh my goodness, I think it’s our creative minds! You are so good at so many things flowers! Who cares! You get there in the end! And it’s much appreciated!!❤❤
Awe haha thank you! Filming feels like such an imposition to the creative process…but I’m getting used to it slowly haha! It’s worth it - love being able to share on this platform!
@@floristsonfarms yes I can understand that! But oh my goodness, we so benefit from your efforts to film. I have been sincerely inspired and excited about growing and arranging flowers from the garden. Here in Australia, it’s been reported that more than 80% of our flowers available are imported! We have all this diverse land and climates, we can grow anything and here we are importing flowers! So I am part of this movement to change that. And when people know this, they are horrified because there is no regulation to let the community know where our flowers come from. Watching and learning how you plan your planting, how you use what you have to create the most magical arrangement is such an inspiration. Thank you for your perseverance with technology! ❤️🌺❤️
I love greenery like you do! It definitely elevates a bouquet. I was wondering what variety of tomatillo do you use and where do you get the seeds? Thank you!
I used both green and purple tomatillo…I don’t know if I really noticed a difference in the foliage? In future I would probably just grow the purple because the fruit colouring is so fun…but they all start out green so I wouldn’t really be limited by that! I sourced from a retail seed supplier here in Canada…and they were sooo productive I’m thinking that from now on I’ll be able to supply my own seeds!
Hello! Thank you so much for this video. You have such a talented eye for striking bouquet colors and combinations! May I ask where you bought your dahlia tuber Caitlins Joy? Love that color! I'm a home gardener and I buy mixes of differnt types of flowers and then I throw them together for bouqs; no method to my madness lol. I loved how you broke it down so that I could figure out a similar method. Thank you! Cheers from Colorado 😊
Thanks again for sharing your formulas! I started looking for sedum "black" but can't find it. Is that the correct name? If so, would you be willing to share where you purchased it from? I can't find it listed here in Michigan.
Hmm I bought it 22 years ago from a local nursery so perhaps it’s an old cultivar you won’t find; but there are lots of gorgeous dark coloured sedums on the market these days!
When you cut sedum can you cut all the stems throughout the summer or only 1/3 of all the stems. I don’t want to suck the life out of my plants. Your experience is appreciated.
You’re welcome! There were two sedum shown in the video: Autumn Joy and Black. If you watch the top left corner of the video, I always include flower names that I’m discussing with a caption 😄

Always great education and gorgeous flowers, how many stems do you place before you flip? Thank you!
So glad it’s been helpful for you! Usually 1-3 stems 😄. I will be getting a video out that focuses on assembly technique 🙌🏻
@@floristsonfarms do you have one on the dahlia varieties you grow?

Hmm yah, I harvest pretty heavily sometimes and I have not seen a negative effect; but I have never cut one completely!
Great tips thank you what variety is that Sedum?

Hi Anita, I’m usually behind on lingo, so it’s no surprise to me that I’m don’t know what you mean. I’m sorry!
