Sabrina the Teenage Witch Goes To Disney World! - SOME JERK WITH A CAMERA Season Two

  • Some Jerk With A Camera finally reviews the very last '90s ABC sitcom to visit Disney World, Sabrina the Teenage Witch and her season two episode/Animal Kingdom commercial, "Disneyworld!" Yes, one word. No, I don't know why either.
DISCLAIMER: This video, like every video on this channel, is intended only for mature audiences. While the topic at hand is a form of media commonly associated with small children, the purpose of this video is to present a mixture of analysis and comedy about said media from a distinctly adult perspective, which may possibly include profane language and references to sex, drugs and/or violence. TH-cam, like many websites, collects personal data on its users. The Child Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) has made it illegal to collect personal data on children younger than 13, and rather than fix their own algorithm, TH-cam is essentially threatening to pass the blame onto content creators whose work may seem "attractive" to children. For these reasons, the producers of this video feel compelled to state, in no uncertain terms, that if you allow a child under 13 years old to watch this TH-cam channel, you are a bad parent or guardian.

For some reason, I thought the lyrics for The Freaking ABC were already in the comments. Oh well, transcribed them for now:
    The Freaking ABC
(To the tune of "The Freaking FCC")
They made way more money off this sh-t than my a-- ever will,
so if they don't care about that crap, why should I front that bill?
I mean, when's the last time you guys caught a rerun of this swill?
It's not worth the mention! I've paid too much attention
to the primetime sitcoms made for ABC!
_So how much power did ABC have at these parks?_
They can sleep up in the castle and then criticize its worth.
They can watch the nightly fireworks from the top of Spaceship Earth.
They can even knock up Minnie Mouse and abort the kid midbirth!
It's T-G-I-F'd up! There ain't no limits left up in the
    ivory tower known as ABC!
Throughout the 90s, cross-promotion lumbered on.
( _I love Splash Mountain more than life itself._ )
Can you imagine just how far things might have gone
    had the trend continued?
You'd have Boston Legal's lawyers putting piracy on trial.
Lost would be less disappointing were it on Tom Sawyer's Isle,
and that wacky Jimmy Kimmel, he'd make all of Epcot smile!
    (I'm f[beep] Dreamfinder! _He's f[beep] Dreamfinder!_ )
All mere speculation! There ends my dissertation on the
    Disney World sitcoms on AB-
( _American Broadcasting Company? The #1 network alphabetically in the world?_ )
    C!

I loved this show as a kid. It was corny but it never took itself too seriously and the premise was really weird. Other ABC shows were about families who love each other and make inane mistakes that they forgive each other for at the time. Or high school. This show was about... uh witches. Looking back though it looks really stupid but I do still like the lead actress. She really fills the role with a lot more charisma than the show deserves.

    • @TonyGoldmark
      @TonyGoldmark  8 ปีที่แล้ว +12

I'm sure it annoys Disney to no end that they didn't hold out for a couple of years and build a Zootopia land there instead. Beastly Kingdomme woulda been awesome, no doubt, but sometimes it's best to just move on and let these things go.

    • @TonyGoldmark
      @TonyGoldmark  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The original plans for Disney's Animal Kingdom included a land called Beastly Kingdomme, devoted to creatures of legend and myth, like dragons and unicorns. It was to be built in the area that used to be Camp Minnie-Mickey (the area that's now being turned into a land based on James Cameron's Avatar) but sadly it was removed from the Phase One plans when they needed to cut costs, and never got built.

+Bart Simpson (CNDISMinion96) Near the entrance of pretty much ANY half-decent theme park, there is a room (or at least a wall) of lockers people can rent, to store things for the day for whatever reason. I got the "That Darn God" shot at the lockers by the entrance of Animal Kingdom.
For the dollar-kissing scene, I used audio from the scene in Inglourious Basterds where Hitler screams "NEIN NEIN NEIN!" So I figured there should be a map on the wall behind me. The only Disney park location I could think of where I knew there was a map on the wall was at the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail at Disney California Adventure.

Does the jerk know The Middle(ABC show) went to Disneyworld?

Yep. That episode aired after I already finished this whole retrospective. Someday I'll revisit the subgenre and cover the Disney park episodes of The Middle, Blossom, Are We There Yet, Hard Time On Planet Earth, and the upcoming WDW episode of Black-ish.

I actually loved that episode... Especially when the guy who was touring them was like: "Well... See ya..." And walks off.

Ah yes, the annoying popular girl, easily one of my trigger cliches. Don't apologize, they used the cliche, not you.
