Crip Camp is a wonderful documentary that gives a great background for the disability rights movement which led to 504 and the ADA. I was totally engaged with watching these persons with disabilities unbridled and engaging with each other as persons, not a diagnosis or a condition. For persons with disabilities and their families, this is a great background about how the movement began, and hopefully will serve to motivate the next group of advocates - especially self advocates - to better understand that they are standing on shoulders of committed advocates before them.

Yes I worked on 504 compliance at Augsburg college, this history was inspiring and warmed my heart and made me proud of humanity. I can’t thank you enough!

This was so uplifting and deeply moving. My graduate class in cultural diversity in rehabiitation counseling had this as an assignment to view and write about. I don't think I would have found out about the film otherwise. So powerful and such a testimony to democracy in our country in which the human spirit in community can do so very much . The unity of the activists left me awe struck and the connection between different marginalized populations coming together, understanding the fight.

Fantastic online conversation. I really loved that everyone described themselves, what they looked like and where they were. It includes individuals with visual disabilities in the conversation. I loved the movie so much and learned so much about the disability community. There is still so much work that remains to be done.

Much respect and praise. Such a beautiful and worthwhile bases to spread knowledge and understanding. Invisible disabilities are so harshly stereotyped, it's sad. All the power to you all. Thanks for your works.

    Jana analysis
My name is Amose Faithbecky , iam 44 year , work as a caregiver now for six years and I love helping people in needs , i am working and studying , i am reading international social work in one of the universities in sweden . i am a mother of 3 , 24 , 22 and 16 respectively .I migrated to Sweden some 8 years ago and ever since I have been working and studying .
My first son is called Emmanuel. He was diagnosed with autism ,mental and intellectual dissabilty. We migrated together when he was 17 years old.
Emmanuel is a very nice kid , he loves working with wood , drawing and painting ,loves animals, loves his family and has lived all along with his family who are his best friends .
MIgrating to a new country with an autistic person can be a bit difficult but he has been trying to adapt.
He has lived in different special homes , some different kind of living arrangements and most often it didnt work out like most he can have an outburst and since he is very strong the police can be called .
THe last living home took him to the police station and left him there that they dont want him any longer in their premises and i took him
For close to two years now has been serving an indefinite sentence for being autistic , compulsive behavior , getting stuck in a shopping mall .
Emanuel was taken to court on 15/01 /2019 the next day his father died , he was knock down by a car . Emmanuel was transfer from helix to karrsuden { swedish maximum psykiatry care facilities ] .
The senior psychiatry said she will be evaluating him without us , they are trying to paint a picture like we gave him autism .
I had a meeting with a psychology in karrsuden he kept slamming the table and intimidating me, telling me my son has committed a crime and and the earlier i accept that my son is a criminal and can only live in karrsuden the better for me and my son . if i keep saying that he is not a crimina they will never allow him leave karrsuden.
I have begged the director of stockholm psychiatry to bring him bac to stockholm and he admarntly refused , the worse person to deaöl with in life is a narcissistic person . His regular psychiatry and psychologist in autism and asperger center Huddinge just adarnmantly refused to write or ask about their patient .
When he first move to karrsuden we were told he will leave in six months and now it is years , i remember the hospital couselor called me after 8 months and ask us to start preparing for him to be released ,everything later died down .
I gave a power of antony to the hospital to inform us each time he is going to court, he taken to court every six months and they have never informed us , the last court session was in september i had to call to know he has never been taken to court he is always judge abstential because he is either being locked up by his doctor to present a picture of a monster to the courts who is still aware thst she is is lying but will judge him anywhere .
Emmanuel is emotionally down confused and stress up , we even tried for him to come home during exams she refuse . swedes are monsters
Emmanuel started taking snus , i complain to her she told me is one of the unfortunate thing , she told me karrsuden is the best place for emmanuel , she will recommend karrsudden for emmanuel with psychopath . The most frightful day was 3 months ago when Daniel Linquist was convicted and sentence for killing an 8 year old migrant because he hated migrant was sent to karrsuden .M
The doctor said we call and shout , ok get us a psychologist , it is so disrespectful to stop us from talking to Emmanuel on phone , if you really care about your patient that is thr only moment he is waiting for everyday and sometimes he is even not allowed to talk he is beind belted beating lock up in isolation .
She has never complained that we talk loud for two years now. She gave the ban on 21/01 15 day ago and only deem it necessary to send us a letter on 29/1 . we are dehumanise , humiliated .THe bottom line is i posted on the 21/1 and i mentioned her say saying that my son has never had a good life , tand they are nit happy about the ongoing petition , Emmanuel is also due to go to court again so it is best if he avoids us .
Emmanuel is nit the only black child in this situation swedes are good in torturing our children and stepping iut ther pretending to be introvert , shy and keeping to themselve . Nationalism make it difficult for people to stand or help you , if a swedes stand with you he/she has betrayed his country and can lost his privileges and migrants are afraid they will came after them . to the extern that peoples love ones are missing and they are afraid to make a police report and even when they do they cannot call to
