So a little insight on the AKd vs AJ. The check on the turn was to control pot and feel out where he was in pot. My call on turn was made to call his for sure all in bluff on river. I put him on AQ h. This is where I made a huge mistake, by no means is the money a big deal to call but being that it was the first time playing on live stream for some reason I started to second guess what my whole plan for hand was. I was literally saying call in my head and found myself fold. Can’t really explain it just a bad play on my part. But I’m sure it’s not first or last time we will make or see a bad call. But I’ll be on the next one I’ll do better for you guys. But again I play to win but it’s fun for me too. Thanks for all the positive comments. Lol. Good luck to everyone playing.
The announcers are out there mind. Why would someone bet the turn? What are you getting value from? I agree if you call turn you have to call blank rivers
checking to "control pot" is, in my view, a very over used excuse to check. It also doesn't really apply when you are not last to act, as this hand demonstrates. Checking to control pot applies best in situations where both you and your opponent's ranges are weighted to non drawing hands where you cannot get 3 streets of value and stack sizes and player tendencies make the hand play better with a smaller pot on the river. A good example is an K hi flop with no real draws and you have K-rag. you bet flop, get called. check turn, bet river to get called by second pair. or check turn and call a river bet that might be bluffing. But if you bet flop and turn, you're in a situation where you're not getting called twice by a worse hand.
I personally thought he was to eager to raise all-in on the River. Brad should have taken more time, to sell the move as a calculated decision. Instead it looked more in line with someone who was bluffing and was going to jam regardless of the River card.
@eXampL I don't think it was terrible because he had the perfect hand to be going for a bluff but I definitely think you shouldn't do it too often. Here's why: AJ blocks a lot of combos of Aces, AK, & JT which are a huge portion of the opponent's calling range. He does not have any hearts in his hand, making it more likely his opponent has a flush draw. He shouldn't be bluffing too often in this position because if he bluffed with all combos of AJ & AT no hearts, then I think he would be way over bluffing.
savagely brilliant execution by Brad and ridiculously poor execution by Rob. the commentators called it ... Rob let Brad have control of the hand with his check turn and Brad not only took it, he took an additional $600 with the takeover. Brad smelled blood and pounced all over it.
@@andrewadami3920 that's definitely what Brad sold it as ... but Brad also could have done that with a flopped set (of 6's, based off the preflop action). He did it cuz he figured out EXACTLY what Rob had. Probably BEFORE the turn card came.
Brad I love you mate , I'm straight but I still love you , I had serious problem with a gambling addiction , but since I started watching your videos I quit gambling... You helped me to get out from a very dark place mate ... Thanks a lot bro I love you !!!
I work as a dealer and i hate this moments as well. It feels like I have to say something, but there isn't realy a good thing to say in this spots. Any ideas?
Great episode Brad! Watching the live stream is great, not only do we get to watch your hands but also your posture and time in between calls and raises. Sorry to hear about your sisters home. Thanks again for taking the time to do these vlogs!
Well, you're never ahead with jacks against both opponents in such a spot. Best case would be Andrew on a small suited ace and the other guy on AQ and even then your hand is very vulnerable. More likely tho you're up against queens+
It is terrible man, I hope that we can get to a place where we arn't having rampant wildfires every year which literally take lives and homes of thousands of people. I can't imagine losing all of your prized possessions :/ Also, Please pet Cosmo for me, he is cute as hell
What I'd find really cool, is a little hand analysis video on the two bluffs you did (the one against Andrew Neeme and the one against Rob), in which you explain your exact thought process throughout the hand(s). That would really help to improve my game and maybe some other's as well. Thanks in advance and sorry for my English xD
I am so sorry to hear about your sister's house. Been watching it, worried about my daughters in Sacramento and Ione. She will be in my thoughts and prayers. Hope you get rain soon.
I dont get call with A K on the turn if he will fold it on river when completly blank card comes. On that board you could be set of 6's ,set of queens (which you would probably 4 bet so its less likely ) j 10 suited and KQ . I dont know if he expected case ace to come on river and even then there is big chance he is beaten.
Milos Maric yeah I hated how the commentary team was savaging rob for checking turn. I thought the whole time that it's fine, as long as he calls down. Then he calls the turn bet, dark checks the river, and really never looked like calling the shove. He really can't be folding there if he doesn't want to be exploited.
I’m with seat #8 Rob, forget all these young kids thinking “range this, bet that” etc. “I’ll just bet to see where I’m at” this is how us old school players do it
Damn Brad, that AJ hand was insane. What did you put Rob on when he checked the turn? Did you just have a feeling he didn't like the board? At first I thought Rob was over acting on your 600 turn bet(he's got top top!). You had a great read that hand and followed through on the river. Bravo Brad it was fun to watch👏. Thank you for sharing with us. BTW was your heart pounding?
Good job! Been watching your vlog, and this is a very interesting episode. Good all-in bluff with AJ vs AK, impressive! Hope your family get their home back soon. We all victims of the polluted air:(
Great addition to the vlog at the Bellagio Brad. Awesome job raising money for the shooting victims. Hope your family recovers from the fires in California. Stay safe!
Brad in your intro you said something about the wildfires in California, i do not know when this vid relates to in time, but as an Aussie going through the fires in Australia at this moment[Early 2020], where over 30 people have lost lives, and a host of homes have been lost...................................Brother, i feel your pain.
I actually stayed at a Hilton in Santa Rosa a few years back that I read completely burned down from the wildfires! Sorry to hear about your sister's place, hope everything works out. I've been told the smoke has drifted all the way to the Bay Area 😳
When that guy checked the turn with AKd with top top and you had the AJo, what did you put him on? Seems like he was uncomfortable playing a bigger pot. Did you sense that and put more pressure on him like the commentators are saying?
Love your vlogs and cant wait to go back to Vegas for poker in november. But its a pity there are none of your shirts available in ladies cut, otherwise i would definitely wear the one with Cosmo on it. Best regards form Germany :)
Brad, question from a novice player: I'm working on ranges and in that AJ vs AK hand, with the preflop raising and checking turn, I'd have put him on AK, AQ, JJ, or 10 10. I'm just curious if you also ranged him that narrow? And if so, could you share some insight as to why you took control if in fact you ranged him as narrow as I? I'm guessing it was because he seemed nervous of how wet the board was starting to look. I may have done the same as you, except I'd have scaled my bets smaller possibly getting the call and getting myself in trouble. Either way sir, great bets!
That AJ bluff was a very good read of the situation. I think he originally checked AK to trap you on the turn but the large bet of 600 confused him into thinking he was beat. If you would have bet like 250-300 he probably would have checked raised you or called and then bet or called the river. For how long he took to call on the turn and how he was acting the river all in bluff was a no brainer. Good thing he wasn't a sophisticated enough player to be acting there.
Must have the read on neeeme. That fold to 4 bet wss sick. Good to hear the family is safe. Nice bluff, i like when people act like they dont want to be in a hand. Makes it easy to ship it. Love the vlogs, keep it up!!!
Hey brad, I'm very sorry to hear about your sisters and friends places; that's so unfortunate. So is the Upawing Lab exclusively for cash? What's your take on it? Also, no more CLP for you?
Yeah, my buddy plays up there. I know they have the $100 cap bet over there so I might have to pay limit or something and I have no idea what I'm doing in a limit game.
Hey Brad! Huge fans! We are a slot machine channel but are headed to vegas for the weekend from pittsburgh pa! Would be awesome to meet you man! Really love your videos and how in detail you go! Keep up the great work!
I love the AJ bluff...maybe Rob should have left his mouth in his nightstand bc he practically said that the pot was bug enough for him early in the hand with fear in it. Horrible check by him to give you control. Nice 👍
Brad I live here in Rosa as well I was fortunate enough to have missed the fires. Anyway let me know the next time you hit Graton that would be so sick to play on the same table with you.
I'm glad your place is ok. I'll be up there for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I'm not sure how often I'll play but probably one or two sessions for each trip.

Jeff Lindsey yes or in a pot where u don’t wanna inflate the pot with mediocre holdings
Fold the safest river😞😞
That AJ hand was played beautifully!
no it was played pretty badly actually... thats sure way to lose ur whole stack.
I personally thought he was to eager to raise all-in on the River. Brad should have taken more time, to sell the move as a calculated decision.

Thank you heikki. The family is safe and my sister is doing pretty well now. Good luck to you too.

26:55 -- Words no poker player wants to hear from the dealer...
that saddens me
Unless you walking away with stacks and stacks and stacks
I work as a dealer and i hate this moments as well. It feels like I have to say something, but there isn't realy a good thing to say in this spots. Any ideas?
@@deathwingdt "shit happens" or if you don't like them "get rekt fish"

Great episode Brad! Watching the live stream is great, not only do we get to watch your hands but also your posture and time in between calls and raises. Sorry to hear about your sisters home. Thanks again for taking the time to do these vlogs!
Jeez Brad, sorry to hear about your loses with the fire. We all love the vids!! It cheers us all up, hope it does that for you too.
great fold with the jacks
You watch enough of Neeme's vlogs and you know it's a fold lol
Thanks. It wasn't an easy spot. I thought Andrew could have been putting on a play with a hand like A5s or AQ. Glad I happened to fold correctly.
Well, you're never ahead with jacks against both opponents in such a spot. Best case would be Andrew on a small suited ace and the other guy on AQ and even then your hand is very vulnerable. More likely tho you're up against queens+
Love the vlogs my man, sorry to hear about the sisters house :( these wildfires are fucking insane....
Thanks man. Yeah I can't even count how many people I know who have lost their homes.

Last two hands were cold-blooded. Well done. Glad you and your family are safe and sound.
Wow, I am from SR as well. Graduated from SRHS back in 94, enlisted in the USMC, retired from USMC in 14. Great times. Lived in Rincon Valley.
Glad everyone is safe. We just went thru two hurricanes so I know what your going thru. Love the videos, keep up the great work.😀
Much love! Learning a lot from you! Hopefully I see you one of these days, as I live in the southwest side of Vegas!

He can have all types of flush and combo draws. I think you gotta check call down with the AK there without blocking any hearts.
lol it depends on whether villain is capable of firing river

Literally spent the last two days watching all of your vids, new sub here, keep it up, you inspire me

Why the check back on the turn with the KK at 5:38 when it's a three street hand? Was it cause villain looked at his chips while he checked?
Loved this one....well played Brad...love the Vlog
17:05 andrews says "thats a pretty favorable river for u eh"
Solid bluff with the AJ brad. True professional play there.
Awesome session Brad...glad to hear your family is ok. 🤗

Amazing bluff with the ace jack! I think the reason it worked was how you went all in with no hesitation on the river.
Absolutely love the way you played the AJ hand. Keep it up!

Can anyone explain how brad could have gotten away easy on that board at 6:20 if Andrew would have bet. Getting away maybe... But easy?
Love the Vlogs. Thoughts and prayers for your fam

That guy Rob gives away way too much info with his body language and his mouth 😂😂😂.. then his passive play just ices the cake for brad to devour
Great bluff Brad. Well played!
Love the table coverage
Awesome vlogs, loved the 1 with Doug, you didn’t come to London with Mr Neeme then?
That was really cool of Doug Polk to come over. No, I wasn't invited to London :/
Excellent!!! Lots of poker.
Great come back..👍👍
The amount of times the commentators called you Andrew instead of Brad was great lol
Great session dude well done! hope things work out well for your family
Brad my cousins live up there she got Evacuated last week but by the grace of God she didn't lose there house...
Nice play Brad. Were. Praying for of the fire victims here in Ohio

Brad I live here in Rosa as well I was fortunate enough to have missed the fires. Anyway let me know the next time you hit Graton that would be so sick to play on the same table with you.

Love live commentary ❤️ when you play
I love showing the bluff!!
Hey, i'm on 27:34 :-) I remembered you and then come across this video somehow.
Like a boss. Only I miss your analysis. You’re inspiring me to make better more frequent calculated bluffs.
Brad you bluffed the AJ, when you did had you put him on one pair and you were repping a straight?
Nice fold with the pocket jacks Brad.
how are they seeing the hold cards here?
Great Vlog, great Game .Thank You .
Nice job Andrew. I mean Brad.
Lol
Really like the way you play brad
Merry Christmas on the AK vs AQ AIPF. I love the Bellagio 5/10, lol!
You must've had a live read on that AJ hand because if I check AK to you it's only to snap you off when you bet LOL Nice play Brad
