Hey man, IDK if you still see this comment section. I have a problem that the spam bot traffic is coming from Direct sources, so I cannot identify user source. What could I do?
One thing you can do when the bot traffic reaches your GA4 database is to identify it (awkward screen resolution OR geolocation OR duration OR particular event frequency etc etc) and try to keep it out of your reports by filtering
try it yourself - go to admin >audiences, click create a custom audience and for exclusion condition choose Country matches "xyz"... once done, pls come back tell us how did it go!

I will come back next week to give an update. Also why is the delete button not working? I wanted to delete the custom Audience I made yesterday.

bots that click ads happens outside of GA4... you can always check out software solutions for the problem
