Donât kid yourself Mollie - she would do what my mare did and that was graze her way home. She just left me sitting on the ground unable to stand up ð Another thing my mare did was like to grab a snack (I had her from a trekking centre where food was in short supply. One time my friend riding in front led us down the mountain through some very high thick ferns so she shouted out âmind these fernsâ. The ride behind me called back what ferns? And I replied the ones my horse just ate ð You are so much more confident than when i first watched your videos. Have you tried using half halts to hone Rosieâs listening skills eg when you ask her transition down to walk and if/when she is bored walking do some dressage (shoulders in or half passes so she isnât walking in a boring straight line). I used to do that and had great funâĶ.obviously you canât do it on a main road but my mare had been completely turned off schooling being paired with beginners during her trekking/school lifeâĶ.so I used my hacks to do a bit of training which was fun for her. Just a couple of suggestions for you to try. âĪâĪ
