Once again man, well done! That Civic is looking incredible now. Makes me appreciate the one I have currently as well. I’ve seen other people on TH-cam mainly work with salvage titles and getting them rebuilt and then reselling the cars. Here’s to 10k more subscribers!

Rebuilt and salvage title in Georgia are pretty much worthless nobody wants them and the sell so cheap less than half the value for the awesome work this guy does wouldn't make sense in Georgia profit wise
its a little different down here in GA, they want to see the car before you paint it etc. just put the new parts on and have receipts also they check the air bag light to make sure it turns off etc. Believe it or not a diy can take their car to a body shop and they can get a inspector to come out and look at the car, you dont have to take it to them. I work at a body shop and we have had salvage cars inspected for customers before, we get the cars fixed etc and the inspector comes out, i personally have replaced a rear quarter panel on a car and other stuff, like curtain airbags etc seat belts and it passed no issues. I also replaced half the side of a car before and it passed as well. So any Diyers dont be afraid of a salvage title, and you can always take the car to a shop to fix, we have people do this exact thing, they buy a car they like on auction and bring for repair. Instead of doing it yourself.
it’s even easier here in California. There’s only two things we have to do break and lamp and smog after that we had to DMV where they process the paperwork bring your vehicle around back for them to do a Vin verification you go back and get your plates and tags and you’re good to go, it does take up quite a bit of time at DMV so I found a couple little spots where I pay a little extra and I’m in and out within 15 to 20 minutes well worth it.
Brake & lamp inspection is a thing of the past unfortunately. New law is the Vehicle Safety Inspection whare they check everything you can think of on top of the brakes/lamp- airbags, frame/body, fluids, horn, etc. Wack law, hopefully it'll get changed back!
Here in California it could be as easy as changing the hood and a light or a very hard hit, here in California you need a brake and lamp inspection which runs around 160 for me lol, and the smog check which is 45 dlls and once you have that go to the nearest office non affiliated office the ones that do salvage titles and all that stuff, pay for the taxes and get a vin verification and you are good to go. you get your plates and stickers instantly and registration. title comes in the mail after 2 weeks. easy process.
@@flippingcarsforfun yes brother, everything is done the same day. i sell clean and salvage and the salvage ones i do everything for my clients. same day they get their plates under their name.
Good thing to keep in mind is thay every state is different. NY seems to be kinda easy, CT is a “nightmare” when it comes to salvage titles. Such a lengthy process sometimes makes you wonder if it’s worth it.
It's coming along nicely, Jay. Btw, I got a question. When you're selling a car for more than $5000 do you still do cash? I'd feel nervous showing up somewhere or having someone come to me with that kind of cash. Especially where I live.
would it be worth it to go through this process? you paid 800. fees for copart is about 295. plus 200 transport. plus about 400 for paint and parts from ebay. car could sell for around 3k clean title i guess it would depend on the mileage atp but still 1700 for a rebuilt title civic 06-11 coupe doesnt seem like much profit for amount of work put in since value drops about 20% for rebuilt titles. i would like to know honestly good vid though
This car I over paid for on purpose so I can go through the process and learn. Actually bought it to give away to one of you guys. Now that I know I would have bought that car for maybe 450-500
i did one once they kicked back over something the clerks office forgot. The local clerks office is hit or miss. I have one person that will actually help me the others try to just get me to go away.
Love your videos bro. Keep them coming I want to flip cars in the future as well. I wish I started already but unfortunately I don't have money to do so🥲
the quality of the work you do in the driveway is really impressive. especially the paint.

For sure thanks for watching
Nice learning experience 👌 I heard that here in the state of GA, you have to repair the car but get it inspected before painting it.

@ correct and from what I heard, it was due to the Tesla salvage vehicles allegedly that’s what two or three reps told me.
Nice!

I only sell salvage title cars. It’s been going great for me. Although, I do miss selling clean title cars.
Nice!

Thanks man. Yes I still take cash. Just make sure I test it. Make sure it’s real. Small purchases will be cash deals most of the time.
@@flippingcarsforfun What if you were doing $10000 or $20000 how might you handle payment?
@@MCstuttabuddy ever heard of a bank or police station? Want jay to also hold your hand? 😂😂😂😂

I’m thinking about doing this as a side hustle. How hard is it to flip cars during this tough car market these days?
Go for it. It is a little tuff to find cars but they are there

Does anyone know how hard or easy the process is here in texas from a salvage to rebuild title ?
Most likely way easier than here call you local motor vehicles
i did one once they kicked back over something the clerks office forgot. The local clerks office is hit or miss. I have one person that will actually help me the others try to just get me to go away.
Guess that’s just how it is lol
@flippingcarsforfun ky is not the easiest place to transfer a car anymore
Get ready to ship to egypt bruh am winning this one insha’allah 😂🙏
lol
great video, thank you!

Go for it!
