Does anyone remember the days when Eddie had a good storyline involving Kazuya killing his father and framing him for said murder that had him in jail for years, where he met a capoeira master that taught him how to fight? I still cannot believe we've come to this point.
Still Depressing that we didn't even get to have Story modes for Each Characters like in Tekken 6, they all have their own Endings unlike Tekken 7. Might as well Sleep and never Wake up after knowing that we wont be having any Story Modes for each Characters. I wonder what Lucky Chloe's Story is about or her Ending.
I think her return would actually be very interesting to see. With there being no secrets to how evil Kazuya and G Corp are anymore, where does that leave her position as the positive face of G corp? It’s clear there’s a very ugly side to her when she’s not putting on her idol performance so maybe we’ll see more of that.
I feel the same way about this as I do Lars’ endings from tag 2. While it would be nice to see Eddie’s story treated with more respect at this crucial story moment, truth be told, I hate fighting this guy. Eddie being a backup dancer and Lars going prematurely bald feel like gifts to me personally as a hater lol
It's the standard translators privilege when adding accessory/flowery/filler words to translations It just seems weird and abrupt for someone to just drop the F bomb, could've just used "You Damn old man" instead of the more harsh "you ancient fuck" since she didn't remotely said those words when taken in a literal sense. she is being rude, yes. but not that rude.
I'll explain myself. A literal translation wouldn't package in the cultural shock of referring to someone your senior so callously and familiarly. There aren't swear words in Japanese, as much as there are cultural taboos. There's codified linguistic hierarchy for your elders, or those in more senior positions than you. Chloe is undercutting that code, which adds a layer of disrespect only viable in Japanese. For comedic effect. The only viable way to import that level of disrespect culturally is to spice up something like おっさん (lit. middle aged man, but rude or 'uncle' if you were younger than a familiar old gentleman) to exaggeration. She also speaks like a thug. And I'm British. So the flavour of exaggeration I give is that of a ginnel dwelling yob trying to push a dodgy tenbag on a pensioner.
If Eddie is in 8, he should introduce her furry ass face to some concrete regardless of if it's canon. I do hope he won't be replaced by Christie again.
