Dude that’s a lot of work and hassle for 4K.. Check into stock trading. I make that easily with only a few clicks of the mouse in usually less than a month. And trust me I am no genius or financial guru. But you do need some dough lying around to get started. The more money you have the more you can make, unless you want to do margin trading, which I don’t advise.

They're good cars but realistically not worth 4500 for what he has. I can get a 4 door automatic with close to 100k miles for 5k. Great student cars. Something like what Craig has would be worth probably 3000 in my opinion. 2 door manual coupes aren't the best cars to own. Not ideal if you have passengers.

I’m honestly confident in painting/sanding/body work as I’m in the home remodeling business and I’m known as the “drywall guru” (lol so they say ha) and I love sanding and flatting stuff out so You can’t even tell there was a repair there and with body work it’s pretty much the same in the way.

They make a wheel, specifically for removing stickers from painted surfaces that will attach to a drill or a dremel. Its called an eraser wheel.
Never use a straight blade like that. Also, if u do, tape both side ur only using the middle and the edges cannot dig in.

Amazing it still runs but if you buy a manual you know someone took care of it, or a high chance.
PS; What happened with the American Ninja warrior?
Was definitely impressed with that, even if you didn't make the cut.

That generation is super reliable, seen them with 375K. Mine is a 2010 with 208K only had to do calipers and struts besides regular maintenance.

Personally I don’t like the portrait mode photos of the cars, I think it takes away from the vehicle. Or maybe a newer camera phone is needed?

Did you use a two stage paint or single ? Like was the paint clear coat and paint in one ? Also how long did you wait until you wet sanded and buffed ?

That car obviously has some engine issues, burning oil at least. People generally don’t keep oil containers in their car if the engine is not having issues. The car has obviously been abused and not well taken car of. I wonder what the maintenance schedule was like on that car. Probably never had the coolant, brake fluid, or manual transmission fluid changed. In my younger days the only fluid I ever changed was the oil. But in those days (late 1980- early 2000s). I rarely kept a car longer than 60k miles.
I am glad to hear that manual trans Civics are one of the most reliable cars out there. I have owned 3 an 84, a 96 and I currently own a 2013 that I bought new, currently with 126k miles and never any problems. But the first 2 were not great when it comes to reliability. I have never had cars be more trouble free than when I started doing my own maintenance. Those mechanics have a hard job, are always in a rush, get distracted, make mistakes, probably don’t care, and are just not going to provide the same TLC as I can.
I now do all my own preventative maintenance and brakes. On my 13 Civic I’ve been using Mobil 1 and Purolator Boss oil filters since the second oil change.
Honestly, I have never been a fan of the car. The rev hang is a kill joy and it’s not very peppy. But the pros outweigh the cons. Getting 40 mpg average, the car is reliable and easy to work on, and doesn’t have all those electronic nannies that new cars have, so I am glad I held on to it.
