Jonas!!!! It must have been so hard finding his place and being accepted in the team, but I liked him immediately. Seeing Tau'ri through his perspective was always fun :)
I swear Jonas was too ahead of his time. I absolutely loved him a kid but that was sadly an unpopular opinion at the time. I guarantee if this show was airing today, though, the social media frenzy for him would be insane and there'd be a ridiculous amount of self insert Y/NxJonas video edits everywhere 😭 If there's anything now that fandoms instantly fall head over heels for, it's the "he's so babygirl" characters and he was practically the blueprint for it lmao Also his friendship with Sam was so cute and under-appreciated. I have no idea if the writers were originally intending to add him to the endless list of "characters Sam Carter has effortless chemistry with" before deleting him from the show, but their vibe was adorably wholesome and I wish we'd gotten to see them interact more
Glad to see you still making these videos. We appreciate your dedication. As well as your perfect scene choices. And the Jonas saying I read every book twice was a good addition😅 perfect. 😂😂😂❤
I want to say he's an underrated character.. But the writers never really took him past that "I'm the new guy and I'm insecure about pulling my weight on the team"-phase, and then they just sort of wrote him out never to be seen again...
@@Uberdude6666 It happened in the episode they were dealing with a goa'uld mad scientist lady named Nirrti. She considered him a more evolved specimen of human. She gave him precognition, according to the wiki, though I honestly don't remember that. I just remember her being amazed by his genetics and him being special like that accounted for his quirks a bit more to me. Jonas of course wasn't aware there was anything super special about himself before that. It felt like they were going to go down that plot path with him, but then Daniel returned to the show.
He was not Daniel, but I really loved Jonas!! It would have been nice if he had made more appearances in the following episodes, or if he ended up in one of the spinoffs, like Atlantis, or something.
Daniel was vocal and would argue his point with passion, while Jonus would make YOU think of the very same thing he was with carefully thought out conversation. No hate from me, while I preferred "Danny boy", I had no problem if Jonus finished out the series.
Lol, this is a great series you are doing with Stargate characters. I haven't watched a "_ being iconic" vid in a while but when I saw your Todd vid I had to.
Tell you what, if the Human limbic system had its own pump and i had a time displacement machine handy, Stargate SG-1 would be the first box set I'd absolutely binge on! Every time I watch lovely clips like these, it makes me want to just chuck it on and let time disappear.
One thing about the show that seemed like a lost opportunity is that you don't see Jonas learning modern human languages. He seemed like the sort of guy who can get working knowledge of a language by reading through a travel language guide.
Love your vids make me so happy and Jonas is one of my favorites! Keep it up hilarious comps! May I suggest a Daniel comp, he is my favorite and there are so many moments of him just being relatable.
It’s too late now, maybe, but I had wish before that there was another Stargate spinoff series where all the main characters and stories are non-Earth based, with Jonas being one of the main characters. Just a thought.
Its criminal we never got to see Vala and Jonas interact
Vala/Jonas/Daniel would have been such an iconic trio
I always loved Jonas ! Yes, he wasn't Daniel, who was my favorite character, but he brought something unique and different !
Glad you liked him 🥰
Same on all points. 😄
Jonas was great. It had a different vibe from Daniel Jackson. He was a bit more mellow.
At the same time, he wasn't antagonized by Jack.
Always thought it was a shame that he never became a recurring character like Jacob and Bra-Tac

Leaving his home behind as well 😢
@@TheFaceOfWhoDWTSG He had a really good attitude about every situation though. :)
He was very wholesome character. the actor really brought it out.

Really hoping he comes back in any capacity if a new show comes out
his character never annoyed me.
really likeable.
Ah my favourite Jonas bit is the ring transporter with the water
2:22 Jack was like “no, don’t say that he needs the helmet”
Corin did an amazing job, he deserved way more screen time

He was so smart I loved his performance it was amazing :)

I mean, they did start implying he was a superman. There was a plot developing there that we unfortunately never got to see.
@@AlleluiaElizabeth really? Don't remember that, what happened?

I love your Stargate compilations
Eli in Stargate Universe is pretty iconic btw hint hint wink wink

1:08 With bonus Meredith! 🤣
oh, jonas

I enjoyed Jonas far more than Daniel. I couldn't help be sorry when he left the SGC.
Jonas was great. Wish they kept him as a guest star in SG-2 who comes up every 3rd episode or so.
god i love your channel
Thank you
Sweet vid. Keep them coming please. Thanks

OMG, NEW VIDEO!!!!

I’m definitely planning on doing a Daniel one!

For some reason Jonas Quinn is kind of the Little Brother of the SG Team especially at the beginning of video
You forgot the "alien conspiracy" with teal'c.
Daniel shoeldve gotten a spinnof while sg1 continued with this guy
I guess Mackey didn't read the report but when all was said and done Jonas was actually smarter than him.
First
Audio sucks.
Never a fan of Jonas, came off of trying to be smarter than the others, kinda in an arrogant way.
Did we watch the same show?
