#2"Don't rush it"! I have missed 2 cons here in my city in New Zealand two years in a row, because my current costume & the props that go with it weren't ready (it's my first full build so), yeah sure I was disappointed....but looking back now I'm so glad I didn't rush it, as it's going to look badass at the next one! Thanks for all the advise, love this video!

Thanks, glad you liked it! Yeah, when you're pouring your heart into something I find it's best to give it your all the whole way through, rather than cheap out at the end.

I used to con crunch. I had a completed ODST armor (DFT version), but it had no paint on it. So I used spray paint that can dry in less than 10 minutes. I forgot that spray paint leaves behind an odor if I don't let it air out.
Now I take my time to make my cosplay.

Do you have a video about how to make the visor? I have NO idea how to make that plastic material like sunglasses into a perfectly shaped mold/ color :/

While I don't have a video of my own about making visors yet, I do know how they're made. Basically, you take a sheet of plastic, heat it up, vacuum form it to a mold (which other TH-camrs have made videos on, I believe either Punished Props or Evil Ted has one), then use iDye Poly to color it and the inside gets sprayed with a chrome spray like Alclad II. An easier method would be to simply buy visors off of others, and this is a totally legitimate way to go. Iconprops on Etsy sells Noble 6 visors and flexible visors that can work in any helmet, and Branfur Studios sells master chief visors that are extra good as they use a much more complicated process to make them. Hopefully this helps answer your question.

Dope vids man! You do commissions by any chance?

Thanks bro! I haven't done commissions in the past, but it's an avenue I'm open to investigating for the future. If I ever open up to commissions, there will likely be a post/video or something about it :-)

Are you going to make a video on how to make the gen suit later? Either that or the helmet is where I want to start when I start making mine.

Assuming you're talking about Gen III, yeah I plan to make a series on that as well. I just have to finish the Reach series first :)
