I am a huge Sezane fan and their anniversary collection in September/October was the best ever to my taste, and destroyed my budget too;) I am a bit upset that releases come way too fast with less unique pieces.. usually at least one or two things catch my eyes in each release, surprisingly I have ordered none from the latest pre_Spring collection.
I'm the opposite and loving this collection. Regular french aesthethic is too classic/simple for my own preference. My style is more glam/diva and I subscribe more to Italian styling than french. I'm also tall and curvy and carry larger prints really well and am a deep autumn. I feel like Sezane finally made a collection for me :D You are right it is good to know ourselves, our bodies and preferences
This is their pre-spring collection, so it’s just the beginning 😅 honestly I appreciate that they have several styles and color palettes, this doesn’t just suit the needs of whoever lives in the south hemisphere (summer-fall now) but also people like me who are in the north but don’t wear spring pastels. lol I’d rather be naked than wear baby pink 🤣🤣🤣 I missed all the pieces I wanted, woke up at 3:30am and it was all gone 🤪

I received my Lydia top today…I have a lot to show you next sunday 😂 anyway, you know I’m Italian so I think they were spot on with the big prints on that - personally it’s not really my style, I really embraced the French style when I moved there…. I have to say, though, this collection is more about Italian weddings, or Milan’s high society. It’s true that in general we’re bolder with our fashion choices, and we like to dress up for any occasion, but this was a little too much. Very romanticized 😂 Also, let’s talk about the low necks: we do enjoy them, but we also have a lot to show, so I think they went really overboard this time. Overall, I think they should stick to the Parisian style and flare, that’s what we love about Sézane anyway. Very curious to see all the pieces on you ❤

Missing the more delicate small details they typically bring. Wishing the color range offered more cool pastels as they are a bit on trend and suitable for my cool tone skin. Looking forward to the summer releases

I feel like they are going off the rails a little, with these extreme styles - just not my thing (large bold prints, enormous puff sleeves)...these are the type of pieces you can get tired of very quickly IMO . I will say the Justine bag is also on my wish list and love the size as well, but the price tag is something to consider.
That color Slate must mean charcoal gray. If black, Sezane always says so. For guipure, try the pronunciation gee-poor, it’s pretty close to the French. No Y sounds, an English thing, in front of the two Us.
This latest collection is all in colors with warm undertones, so these pieces wouldn’t suit my cool coloring. Additionally, there was only one item I loved, the green floral print midi-dress, but by the time I looked at their website early Sunday morning, it was gone. I’m a frequent dress-wearer, and theirs always fit beautifully and are in natural fibers, mostly, which I’m limited to. Thanks❤
I don’t like and don’t look well in earthy colors, puffed sleeves, square necklines, embroidered blouses, big statement prints and fitted dresses / tops. So basically no temptation this time and better this way, as I already spent a lot on Sezane online and offline Archives 😅. I am sure they will manage to get my interest back with some release in March though 🤷♀️.
The earthy colorways are not my jam this drop. I'm not ordering anything! Tempted by the jeans you mentioned, but just bought two pairs from Suzanne recently (they always fit me -- many brands don't) so I am holding off.

13:20 i find that to be a huge issue too with sezane!! I hate how over-editorialized their photos are online, it's often impossible to get a good idea of how their clothes fit on the models with the way they are all so contorted in their poses.
I managed to buy some of the pieces I wanted, now I want them to arrive to try them out. This collection is indeed full of statement pieces. I hope they bring more casual everyday pieces next time. Loved your review ❤
Agree I’m not seeing much that’s catching my eye. I didn’t with the Christmas items either. Not a lot of colours or styles that I liked. Whilst Sezane can feel a bit Ulla Johnson inspired - I’ll admit that when they lean a lot into the ethnic/boho/earthy it doesn’t appeal to me personally as much.
I bought the Adele dress as I have been looking for a navy print dress for ages. Mostly cotton, with just a touch of poly and lined. I sure hope it fits! I was more impressed with the fibre composition of this collection than in some of the past drops - seems like more natural fibres. Like you, Katie Louise, I wouldn't touch a poly dress with a 10 foot pole and I have a personal dislike of any form of rayon so not interested in any of the viscose pieces myself either. I was also happy to see so many cotton linen blends - and I really hope they'll restock some of the popular pieces. It's such a drag when things sell out before I've even woken up - and then the pieces are never restocked.
Well, we have opposite tastes in this collection; I love the puffed sleeves, in fact it is very French brands, the embroidered blouses, the fitted dresses that they have released... and I hate gladiator sandals, although I find others very pretty. By the way, those pleats are always 100% polyester because it is the only way to maintain the shape, I personally don't like pleats but if you like them it is something you have to take into account, as it is a structured and repeated shape it needs to maintain a material with certain characteristics (polyester)
That’s the fun in fashion - we all have different tastes! ☺️ Yeah I think I did mention that about the polyester. I have actually seen some higher end brands do plisse or pleats using other materials but appreciate it’s harder.

Expecting my items tomorrow and we’ll see whether it’ll be a keep or exchange. The Titouan reminds me of wool crew-neck cardigan from Cos with difference being mostly in their composition. However in regards to second we talk about similar price, but for wool 🙂
Kind of agree with you about the collection...bit underwhelmed really. I do have my eye on the dila skirt in ecru and the rosine shirt in fuchsia though! Been desperately trying to find a white pleated skirt for a few years now and didn't like the version of the dune they brought out last year as it was longer and more expensive than the regular ones.
I ordered the droit jeans and it was a no go 😅 very stiff material. I think it needs at least 5% elastane. None of Sézane jeans fit me so far 😅 also I’m 5”3 so the length is always a bit off and I don’t fancy going tailors
For any US viewers, they said it was going to drop at 9am ET but it was definitely available on Paris time lol. I checked around 3am because I happened to be awake (I know, I know) and everything was available. Re. the unlined shirt...I have three Sezane "lacy" shirts (new Max in ecru eyelet, Bianca and another I can't remember name) and none of those are lined. I just wear a skin-colored bra (or a black one with my black Bianca) and there is no issue.
I love love lace but not willing to pay for such a price tag. I have experienced that Squarish neckline like this somehow makes my slim shoulders look really broad. Just doesn’t work for me. Hope to see your review on this blouse soon.
I'm really curious to see what you make of the Emannuelle dress. I'm eyeing it for a wedding, but it might be too vacation-y to pull it off for a wedding. And as per usual, I'm more into the low-key pieces instead of the hero pieces. It's just a little too early in the season for me to buy summer t-shirts 😊 But I do think I'm going to buy the white croc bag. Can't justify the burgundy one as I have a Chloe Tess in a similar colour, but this is perfect for the summer 😍

I really appreciate your detailed insights about the pieces, their fabric composition and whether you think the item is worth ordering. It's food for thought for me. This collection visually looks great in a lookbook but I'm not convinced it's something for the everyday person going to work or with a "regular" life. Quite similar to the Anthropologie vibe.

Yes, you have to check out fast, otherwise your cart is being emptied quickly, especially when many others are shopping the same items at the same time. The more people are shopping at the same time, the quicker your cart will be emptied.
