These trains are stunning to see in action. It's easy to see why there are gates blocking access to the station platform. Such a great way to travel Japan though - the destination is reached quickly but you see far more scenery than would be possible in a plane. These fast trains also have an impressive safety record which makes them a superb choice. Thanks for this amazing video.
Speaking of Ohtani-san, a couple of months ago I watched the baseball All Star game and there was a moment when Ohtani stepped up to bat with two men on base. I thought at that point "This is a chance for Shohei to do some serious damage". Just seconds later he hit a three run home run. My family thought I'd lost my mind from how hard I was screaming lmao. 🤣 Definitely a fun player to watch. Here's hoping Ohtani and the Dodgers can win the World Series.
What a nice train. It was so fast, there was no way you could even see in the windows. The ekiben looked delicious. I love beef tongue. It's nice that you could have a hot meal on the train.
Amazement to the max! 16.07 at top speed of 314-319 kph, your iced tea is even barely shaking!😲 And I dont think i can stand and watch at Shin-Hanamaki station. Tbh, I have multiple palpitations watching this.😵💫 Great Video👍
Trains on time, so efficient, comfortable, and fast! We don't have that here in the United States. Fascinating. Oh, and Shohei Ohtani is now a Dodger, not an Angel. Thank you for sharing.
Hooray, my dear friend! Embark on yet another thrilling adventure. Sending you all my love-stay safe and make sure to enjoy every moment for both of us!
So many good memories: bento, vending machines, Hayabusa Shinkansen, Gran Class... The latter is problably my best travelling experience of all time, expensive (around 21k yen addon to JRPass for Omiya - Kanazawa), but absolutely worth it.
WoW It's a thing of beauty. 💓 I definitely want to experience this when I visit Japan. I hope my Son is saving his money 😂 he did after all, promise to take me to Japan years ago. Beef tongue is delicious; growing up my Mom used to make us "ham" sandwiches on homemade bread with green onions and mustard. When I was around 17, I was craving one and asked what kind of ham she used; she then confessed that we were eating tongue all those years. I tried preparing one myself but it didn't smell so great while being cooked and I had to peel off the membrane surrounding the tongue which really crossed me out. I'll let someone else do the prep work. I'm sure it didn't taste half as Gyutan. Cheers from the Niagara Region 🇨🇦
Hello my wonderful friend that I appreciate. The train was graceful in its speed and beauty. I haven't had a Bento box but would love to try. I have had beef tongue, and I enjoyed the taste. When it comes to food I enjoy trying something new. I'm always jealous that you get to hide all of these trains, so when you ride , ride for me my friend. Wonderful video, waiting on the next.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
In the US, most places that have vending machines contract out to specific vendors, so there's little choice. It will only have Coke or Pepsi, and usually all snacks nowadays are Frito Lay. This includes government buildings. :(
If india have that kind of punctuality and clean surroundings then i'll be much happier than ever. That's why i like japan most. I would like to visit your country someday ❤️
Japenese bullet train company is making Japanese bullet train in India gujrat to mumbai btw stations are so Cool and clean cuz I live near the station Ahmedabad
We do have vending machines in America, it just depends on the location. They’re common at schools and universities. But they aren’t usually in a public location. As someone else in the comments mentioned, they’d just get vandalized if they were out in the public. And most aren’t maintained regularly. Lucky to find one that is.
That’s a good point! Vending machines do exist in certain places in the U.S., but they’re definitely not as common in public areas as in Japan. Finding one that’s well-maintained can be a real challenge!
This is sugoi. When I visit nihon anytime in the future I want to ride the hayabusa shinkansen under the seikan tunnel under the tsugaru straits to and from Hokkaido 🚄🌊🚇to get that feel of riding under the seabed. God bless those hard working nihongo engineers that took 30 years to build nihons long undersea tunnel. Blessings my friend and blessings to all the people of nihon 🙏 📿 ✝️ ⛪️ 🤲 🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵🇯🇵
That is one nice looking Hayabusa bullet train. Very nice, clean and tidy. And the staff are very polite. Do the bento boxes come with English description?
Gosh. Imagine if Doc and Marty had the Time Machine break down here. And they had to use this train. They could go fast enough to make it to 1985 and back again.
Blue mesh , u sure are watching too much breaking bad 😂😂. In last vedio u recommend watching house of cards , seriously bro that series was amazing. You have some nice taste 🙂🙂.
"Toilet Check". :) :) :) In Sweden, our fast trains run at 200 km/h. There are no special trains either. However, the rails are carefully laid with concrete foundations. In two years, it will start with faster trains that can then handle 250 km/h
America has lots of vending machines, but nowhere near the variety of Japan. BTW: That is the exact same beef tongue self-heating bento box that both dancingbacons and ericsurf6 have gotten for Shinkansen rides in the past.
So E.J, did you end up working out what those two green domes were off in the distance? Looked like some treatment station maybe? (water??)..and in typical (and by that I mean awesome) Japanese style, they still managed to squeeze on some fun characters onto the outside of them ☺️
huuuuuuu japan shinkansen is one of the best high speed train in world since they make it in 1964 before my parents born japan is increase become one of the rich asia country in world compete with uk and amerika people ,many japanese like to travel to europe and fell more amazing ,as a malaysia we want many foreigner come and support we ,same like we want support japan and many country ,well back to the shinkansen topic ,its one of the best and amazing japan angineering when making the fast trian with luxury level even more smart and modern that many train that i know ,with the pirce is quite expensive ,it will give you a best view and also experience more ,one day i will stay at japan forever
What is missing from most japanese stations are the station names on platforms. They are simple not existing, or just on the very small boards from the train almost unreadable.
I have a question, albeit 2 months late to the party. In English those trains are called “bullet” trains. Which, i imagine, to reflect their speed. But do the words Hayabusa or Shinkansen have literal meanings in Japanese?
Great question! “Shinkansen” literally means “new main line,” with “main line” referring to major transportation routes. “Hayabusa” translates to “peregrine falcon,” a bird known for its speed, symbolizing both speed and elegance.
There are lots of drink and snack vending machines. Just not the variety you see in Japan. The drinks are usually only coke and Pepsi products and most of the snacks are candy and chips. I really think they could do better here now that you can pay with your phone.
If you had a night 🌙 where you're free from responsibility, you have enough for the best and cozy night train 🚂, forget tech 💻, you just want to take in all the night time sights your country has to offer. Where would you go?

What a nice train. It was so fast, there was no way you could even see in the windows. The ekiben looked delicious. I love beef tongue. It's nice that you could have a hot meal on the train.

Ohtani is doing more than excelling...he's putting himself among the very best to have ever played the game.
Absolutely! He’s redefining what’s possible in the game, truly a once-in-a-lifetime talent.
Beautiful train 🚃🚂
😊
We have nothing like this in America, and also no vending machines, they would just be vandalized, Japan is so cool 😎
It’s true, Japan’s vending machines are everywhere and well-maintained. It’s definitely something unique and cool about Japan!
Thank you for all your videos your channel is the best 👍👍👍
😊
Thanks for re-posting!
You bet!
So many good memories: bento, vending machines, Hayabusa Shinkansen, Gran Class... The latter is problably my best travelling experience of all time, expensive (around 21k yen addon to JRPass for Omiya - Kanazawa), but absolutely worth it.
Such amazing memories! Gran Class is truly a special experience-pricey, but absolutely worth it!
British people can only dream of well run, on time, clean trains and stations!
Thanks for bringing us up 😂
Americans can only dream of trains
Uk trains are pet friendly though, which makes them superior imo
Same goes for Germans
When you have a court system that will put you in prison for misusing a drink machine it’s easy to keep your citizens in line I guess
This is very cool!!!

Very cool vid. What are some other popular Japanese autumn deserts and dishes?
And Ohtani-san has a cute ball catching dog he brings to some games. 😊
That’s so cute!
Is this a repeat of one you did a year ago I'll admit I've enjoyed both lol 😅😅😅
Definitely it’s in my bucket list. I have to make time to go to Tokyo and jump on that train. It must be a good experience,,,,,,,,,🙏🙏,,,,,,,,,,

Shohei Ohtani plays for the DODGERS now, not the Angels.
