Great tutorials. Many textile artists have a list of their favourite sewing things on Amazon and get a small amount every time a viewer buys something via the link. Could be worth considering!
Thank you so much for this - gives me confidence to have a go. Especially your point that one can choose any colourway for a landscape - texture is as important I guess. And holding the mount over to get an idea of what the finished piece will look like. It's almost as though the fabric pieces do the drawing for you ..... if you see what I mean?
Hi Alison! I am a big fan! I love your technique! ♥️ I was wondering how you finish the art after the matt is on? Do you use a frame without the glass?
Hello Jerrie, So pleased to hear you love what I do. I always frame my work using artglass. It not only protects the work from dust build up, but also gives over 70% protection against UV damage. Hope that helps. Best wishes Alison
Hi Alison...thank you so much for posting these tutorials. I'm new to this and very much looking forward to creating some of my own art pieces. Could you tell me what your base material is? Do you always start with this material? 😊
yes I always use this material for the base to my artwork. It's a fine firm tarlatan scrim that is available to buy in my Etsy shop.
