I traveled many times in 23 years working abroad i never released my seat belt while on board except when going to rest room for unexpected scenario like this, some passengers are not following the crew advised keep on your belt fastened at all times. Lucky for those seat belt fastened and very good job done by the pilot managing a sudden drop of 6000 feet god bless all flights,
😊
Every time I've flown, as soon as the seat belt sign goes off so many people undo them 🤦♀️ silly
Like beggar
Comment beggar
Many many thanks to the pilot for safe landing and instant reporting to ground forces
This is exactly why it is recommended to ALWAYS have the seat belt on while seated.
Duh
@@bakunawa534Duh? What is it?
How do you go to the bathroom if you cannot remove seat belt always😂😂
@@vivejk4443 When the pilot recognise an air disturbance or similar, he usually orders the use of seat belt. Those who are already in toilet are more in danger. Others will be prohibited from using toilet until the problem is over
@@cochinsuresh8653 sounds like this turbulence is undetected and happened so sudden
This is the reason unless absolutely necessary, I NEVER release the seat belt during ANY flight.
Thats why wearing seatbelt is mandatory but people are careless
Not careless but stubborn
@@Irene3360both
It's true, but I can imagine some of them were going to the bathroom or about to go. This was a long flight.
Nonsense title. Where are the visuals from inside the aircraft.
Deceptive news bait
Watch the short video as from inside as from the 1:57 minute.
Click bait
Fine print...Representative video...
Maybe you are a person that likes seeing blood and trauma, sorry I'm not part of your group
It's getting to be the norm these days. 😡
That is why seatbelts should be fastened all the time either in an airplane or in cars!
4:17 the person died due to heart attack..not from seat belt issue
But injuries sustained by others who weren't wearing seatbelts...
This is so Scary... I am so glad am not afraid of flying !!! Have the seat belt on while seated at all times in an airplane
Not a drop actually. It was a controlled descent by the pilots, 6,000 feet in 3minutes is a normal descent rate.
Yes, but I think that airplane went into an air pocket & lost height in a few seconds.
Exactly if there would be a severe turbulence the pilots would’ve known about it they should’ve already asked people to put on seatbelts because they would hit severe turbulence
@@divya8332 not exactly, severe turbulence can happen instantly and unexpectedly even though not often. this is why it's recommended for the passangers to fasten seatbelts whenever they are seated
It did NOT drop 6000ft from turbulence. The altitude deviated by a few hundred feet in a short space of time. The descent from FL370 to FL310 was minutes later and at a normal rate of descent
If nothing dramatic happened, how come there is a dead man and a large number of serious injuries? That's not normal you know.
@@jonlee2217 the sudden deviation for a few hundred feet is not normal, hence the injuries. The 6000 ft decent in 5 min is pretty standard though
No No, It was at 37000ft at 0807 utc. And 31000ft at 0810 utc. Check flight radar. 6000ft in 3mins
@@desilva29nishantha are you daft? 0807 is 7 minutes past 8am. 0810 is 10 minutes past 8am. Thats 3 minutes.
@@jonlee2217 where did i say nothing dramatic happened?
Where is the footage just showing aftermath and putting thumbnails as misleading… not expected this from your channel
Before the flight takes off ,passengers are advised to fastened their seat belt and are shown other life survival procedures . These are to be taking serious .
Time saver: there’s no horror video.
You must always wear a seatbelt on a Aeroplane, you can meet up in Turbulence anytime, I’ve been in Turbulence when a person fainted and they had to give them Oxygen mask. People was screaming and crying out.
Aren't you suppose to have your seatbelt on unless you are in the restroom?
Yes.
@hugohabicht9957 it's recommended. It's not mandatory.
It's probably not mandatory because how do you enforce something like this? Telling people to buckle up will probably just create an incident on the airplane
There's nothing here to support viewer discretion. More like click bait to make viewers stay.
Well, some people are easily offended these days. The mere sight of a bloodstain might trigger some. You on the other hand are triggered because you didn't get to see people die or be seriously injured for your entertainment. The world is a strange place full of very strange people.
No disturbing pictures at all.
I can't understand why Boeing planes can't take and withstand turbulence. On the other hand airbus mananges very well
Better weather radar on Airbus. I am flying often. Seatbelts sign goes on. Plane slows down a bit and the turbulence hits. No problem . If it’s Boeing I ain’t going 😂
Has nothing to do with a Boeing! actually it the pilots responsibility to avoid tunderstorms and make sure everyone including F/As' are seated and strapped in.
NOTHING TO SEE HERE. NO FOOTAGE FROM INSIDE. SAVE YOUR TIME…
By the way, who would dare to take the footage in the inside of the plane, facing such deadly turbulences when everyone was dying at the moment.
Such damage is possible when the aircraft encounters an air pocket , then the aircraft drops like a stone until it reaches normal air atmosphere . This drop takes place in seconds , not minutes .
Get well soon the people who are injured 🙏🏼♥️🌹
This reminds us to why we should always have seat belts on to the chair !🙏🏽
It is very simple.
Wear the seat-belt and buckle up
It's an aircraft subject to meteorological conditions
It is not your lounge at home that you are sitting in.
Leave the seat-belt OFF and you will certainly fly
like you never imagined
Spot on
I have travelled a lot. A drop of 6000 ft in 3 or 5 min as reported does not qualify to be "sudden". It looks like a controlled descent. I have experienced really sudden drop. The experience is really scary. To be honest, I thought that was the end and wore my shoes.
This guy Reddits.
The man who died had a heart condition. Also the plane didn't drop 6000 feet. It rose some 1000-1500 and dropped some 1000 feet. Not 6000 feet all at once.
I knew this, always keep wearing seat belt. People remove them for no reason.
The engineering of the modern aircraft is amazing
I understood from the expert that the flight oscillated violently within 400 feet and auto pilot made the 6000 feet smooth descending.
The pilot should be praised for saving lives
It's a Boeing 777, maybe we should be asking them, the Boeing Corporation, for answers and they should be an essential pillar of the investigation.
yeah ask them why the plane drop 6000 feet after hit by turbulence
Boeing whistle-blower all are dead... now we know why
Keep your seatbelt on people unless you’re going to the washroom
Deepest condolences to the deceased family.
the plane did not drop 6000 feet, it descended 6000 ft after turbulence towards Bangkok
This incident can happen to àny airline
The Thai wallpaper team is very well prepared. Thank you Thailand and may everyone be safe.
Something else must have happened here. A drop of 6 000 feet for 2-3 minutes is quite a lot
I agree. Turbulance is normal and the pilot would have known about it from their onboard computer way in advance, even storm clouds are detectable in advance. A drop of 6000ft is no joke, and I am sure it is not entirely due to turbulance. There should be an independent investigation to estabish the truth so that those who are injured can sue. lol
It's a controlled descent by the pilots. 6,000 feet in 3 minutes is a normal descent rate.
@@TR_Emeritus The aircraft FMC does not and can not detect turbulence. Most modern commercial aircraft are equipped with predictive wind shear warning devices, but only active during takeoff and landing.
@@davevictoriadriskell2111 true, however the pilots have visibility of weather ahead from the radar. Convective storms were present in the immediate area. What they SHOULD have done was ask the cabin crew to stop serving breakfast and ask all pax to return to their seats, and reduce speed to m0.82. It looks like neither of these were done
@@user-vk4vd7vr5t When did you receive the FDR and CVR data?
Still now technology couldn't find out to counter turbulence
Hmm yes
What an amazing anchor this woman is. She is clear, excellent voice inflection with compassion and empathy. Prayers to the entire flight crew, passengers and first responders.
Shaking could indicate too low airspeed - which would also produce a loss of lift. I would like to see the figures for this flight. 6,000 ft in 5 minutes isn't a lot
Nonsense
"Not for the faint hearted... Disturbing..." As if you were going to show actual video, which you didn't.
Do you realize if they show too many disturbing visuals, TH-cam can remove their videos for not following their guidelines and all their efforts will go waste...
Oh my God. May the departed soul rest in peace.
Thanks to the Thai govt, for Swift action🎉
I have traveled from singapore to Australia on multiple occasions. I swear turbulence occurs before take off and on landing time .
This is why I always keep my seat belt on even when the light is off. Turbulance is only really dangerous when you aren't strapped to your seat.
Good job thailand in your response.
How come the pilot didn't recognise the weather condition? Why hasn't the route been altered?
Believe me they did, fuel calculation, alternatives , vectors if things gone severe, actions to be taken if situation did get worst, the risk mitigation etc was all done prior boarding on flight itself.
It's there fundamental standard
operating procedure .
Now what exactly happened only voice call recorder and black box can know.
Still have to wait for the proper investigation
And believe, if pilots delayed their actions by even a millisecond it would've been more fatal then what we are seeing now..
Because their weather radar is shit
More than turbulence there must be some technical reasons for too much drop all of a sudden. Experts to come out. Its self mandatory to wear always seat belts for our safety
Nope. Natural occurrence
Now I can believe the Boeing whistle-blowers stories
Why is that? Boeing or whistleblowers can’t control the weather, only AirBus can do that. Jajajajajaja Jajajajajaja
Air pocket is not engineering!
@@thurston905 The way the plane responds to it, it is you Einstein.
does whistle blower tell you about turbulence ?
Miss beautiful The spokesperson for FlightRadar 24 said regarding data showing a drop in height, "our initial thinking is the turbulence event is prior to the standard descent from 37,000 to 31,000 feet. That appears to just be a flight level change in preparation for landing.
Turbulence-related airline accidents are the most common type, according to a 2021 study by the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board.
Very unfortunate occurence
Congratulations Thailand for swiftly organising proper rescue operations
OMG! 13 hours a direct flight to Singapore!!...Anyone can develop a blood clot seated for many hours...

Oh.......Boeing....say less 🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
recently there are many concerning news regarding Boeing.
You probably have no idea about aviation.... Neiter physics or weather. Better to stay silence to appear wise
@@MrRjuhHe's right with this one, despite his deviation. The Boeing 777 is a problematic plane, and it's a well known fact by this point.
@@ariadnegmusdaedaloximo708 maybe it is, but there is no any relation to this case. Any passenger aircraft on the word will have the same result. Landed safely, bravo crew. Condoleance for the victim and safe recovery for the injured pax.
Well, you can blame airline, plane or just planet earth
Trust the Americans to scam foreign buyers by selling them these deathtraps.@@ariadnegmusdaedaloximo708
The pilots are always instructing the passengers to sit and fasten their seat belts if they approach the storm. Maybe this one was the same storm that took Dubai by surprise
News reader is so beautiful ❤
But, unfortunately, is willing to read utter nonsense on TV.
@@TobyChampion No choice. She is a managed parrot that looks human.
I've been on a Singapore Airline flight exactly from London to Singapore. I probably would of be seriously injured or even dead if I was on that flight, that situation must of been very scary.
Boeing - that says all you need to know.
God help us
I like the journalist how she is speaking
YESUS help us ..
That's why I always urge people to walk with Jesus Christ wherever they go
But where is the video from inside the plane while the turbulence was happening...she warned the faint hearted...liar
Once I was on an Air India Plane which experienced Turbulence right before landing in the Mumbai Airport. It was raining that night.
The plane didn't "drop" 6000 ft. The 6000 ft descent was a controlled descent to a new flight level as part of the flight path to Bangkok. This was after the turbulence event. It is important to do fact checking and not report false information. Will you post a video to apologise for providing false information?
In this day and age, this shouldn't be happening, end off ,
Nothing can save you, if seat belts aren't fastened, amid such instances.
Seat belts = little to zero injuries during flight. Stupid is a stupid does.
a pilot has since got live to tell the truth and not the version of the press. the plane dropped no more than 4 to 600 feet. the plane did go down 6000 feet in 5 minutes under control of the pilots. RIP to the man who died on this flight.
Keep your seatbelts on during every flight just like you would in a car.
Um.. just as I suspected a Boeing However they just title it as a Singapore flight...(or they switch the comments off)
Remember to thank those pilots who controlled the aircraft through this, SINGAPORE AIRLINES you remain the best in the world 😉
So where is the shocking video ,??? VERY POOR REPORTING
@MinutesofHorror oh my gosh!!
Always Always keep your seatbelt on
Seat belts!
Surprised they haven't blamed Global Climate Crisis for the turbulence
😢😢😢😢😢that was nice of the hospitality care blessing to it😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
people don't Respect the Master of the Universe anymore...more of such inccidents will happen... better believe it or be too late to be sorry..😢😢😢😢😢
Seat belts people ?
Global warming/changing weather or Boeing the cause?
Turbulance, storm, heavy rain, lightning are unknown hazards during on air.the flying officers manage the emergency as far as possible. Rest is God 's grace.
Thank you
somehow the great technology of modern day airplanes helped the others survive the non- ground impact
A couple of years back i flew Singapore airlines from Heathrow to Singapore. The service was good, but my experience w/ this airline was quite scary. When the aircraft was over the Himalayas the turbulence was quite disturbing. And it was not for five minutes or even 15, it lasted for more than 20 minutes, at one point i can feel the sensation of falling, and the shaking. Was outright disturbing. Now I’m well travelled and used to flying to various parts of the world, but that was the only time that reminded me of my mortality. And i never went near Singapore airline’s ever again. Thank the heavens.
It must be a terrifying experience for the former defense chief's copter came crashing down.
6000 feet? How is this possible??
Drop to the ground or to the floor?
Always pray to GOD before you flight .🌟🙏🌟📖🌟🙏📖🌟
RIP to the British passenger. He's now having a word with the Iranian President.
...how do you know he went to the same destination?
This is truly accidient on the air !
Very Sad..
Looks like a rough go !
Prayers for all involved.
One more reminder why a seatbelt, slightly loosened even, should be worn, unless moving about or to bathroom.
These planes are built to handle this but we're not necessarily.
Did you know the average large airliners wings can flex up to 7' up & down - like a large bird flapping it's wings - safely ?
It’s called air pocket
I was in an D C 8 back in 1968 flying from Chrisrchurch N Z to Australia when we where over the Tasmin sea the pilot announced to fasten seat belts because we were going to hit an air pocket and he said the plane was going to drop down it was very rough flying at the time when it happened there seemed to be a complete silence then after some time everything came right the pilot said we had dropped 10 000 feet but there was no injures maybe some else was on that flight that recalls the episode
Never wish it on anybody I was only 17 and a half at the time I am now 73 plus scary stuff 😢
I was on a plane 5 years ago it was horrible and I am not going on another plane again
Thick indian accent
Indian reporters are good at English, but they're not great at their job. It went down in Myanmar airspace, not Thai airspace.
So sad... .wish for an early recovery
