@danieldebowski8148 Nah, if we did that for all nations with wrongdoings, Europe would be nothing but a cesspool of a thousand different, tiny nations Germany paid for its sins with a terrible situation at the end of the war (both of them). It was ravaged, military in tatters, and overall I'd say the issue even affected other European powers The Great Depression was a terrible time for many, and even the UK realized that Germany could never make up for the ridiculous levels of reparations set upon them. The French wanted everything and more from Germany... didn't end well for them either. The Treaty of Versailles was basically a waste of paper, and it doomed both sides to be poised for another conflict to get out of it
@danieldebowski8148 That's not fair. If Germany got that treatment, it would've only been worse, and the hypocrisy would be insane If every European power got the same treatment for wrongdoings, the whole continent would be a mess of over a hundred different, tiny countries The Treaty of Versailles was so ridiculously set up, it poised Europe for a slew of problems, eventually leading to the next World War Germany didn't even start the war in the first place, why the heck are you so hostile towards a nation that, quite frankly, didn't deserve that fate under the Wiemar Republic?
fun fact the czechs still need to give Poland land after land corrections and they are still dont want to do it even thou Poland gave them the land to correct border. Typical peppiks
It was barely glossed over, but you've radically altered the history of the Palestine Mandate by a shocking degree. Taking in 750,000 Polish Jews over 10 years (assuming the proposal was adopted immediately in 1936, and even blocking all other refugees that came in that period) would trigger a massive arab revolt, far more so than IRL, as you've basically guaranteed the Jews would be an absolute majority in the region by about 1945. That plus the Irgun gaining a powerful national backer, and the British (somehow) allowing this, means that Israel is set to be a country at least 5 years ahead of schedule, partition or not. Once Jabotinsky dies in 1940, Menachem Begin will take over Irgun soon after, and push for Jewish autonomy, or even national independence, quite quickly (assuming Irgun was the dominant faction). Who knows? we may see Israel join the allies in this hypothetical WW2 and/or a pro-axis arab uprising in the Middle East in response. Either way, very interesting scenario, and keep up the good work!
0:24 I know this might start an ethnic conflict in the comments, but was great Moravia even truly Slovak? I mean, they was a Slavic state in the carpathian region, but it is also the ancestor of the Moravians and even some small polish areas. Although there were already tribal divisions, the modern concept of Slovak and Czech makes no sense in the context of those ancient peoples.
Czechoslovakia seized it from Poland during Polish-Soviet war... then during czechoslovak partition Poland regained it, even after the war they were fighting over these territories. Gladly that time passed and we can be brothers once more.
About "ruling themselves", European monarchies were feudal states ruled by royal families whose members married almost exclusively each other, basically forming one big "royal family". Hence the British were (and still are) ruled by the "Germans" (Saxe Coburg and Ghota), Russia was ruled (and founded) by the "Vikings" (Rurikids) and later ruled (again) by the "Germans" (Oldeburg), etc. Czechia/Bohemia was ruled by the Czech/Bohemian monarchs from various dynasties for over 1000 years until 1918. Most of them were actually descendants of the Přemyslids, including Charles IV (I), the Holy Roman Emperor and "pater patriae" of Czechia who was in 2005 voted "the Greatest Czech", including the Habsburgs ruling the country as Czech kings for 400 years, including the last Czech king Charles I (III), who studied in Prague and spoke Czech like many of his "non-Czech" predecesors.
@@adamelghalmi9771 well okay then. For everything to perfect for the Austrian Empire, it has to win wars the Second Italian war of independence, Austro-Prussian war and ww1. So about Czechia independence at the start of the video it did not end with the Premyslid dynasty but I'd say with the Habsburg-Lotraine either in 1627 or in 1749
I see potential here to annex Lusatia to Czechoslovakia, both easing tensions by making up for territorial loss AND protecting a slavic minority, assuming the alliance can win anyway.
Germany is either violating the both of them even harder than they did in our timeline, Germany gets scared off… or Germany gets turned into paste. Really depends on Soviet relations.

“Elected” is a tad generous give that the Czech leaders kinda just included the Slovaks into their new country and then proved lucky enough that when they presented the Slovaks with the already signed and finalized paperwork they went “… ok”
The Zaolzie issue wasnt just "czechoslovakia seized it" It was a complicated mess that resulted in a treaty signed between the two governments that soon after the Poles repeatedly broke and when warned several times ignored it out of arrogance thinking they arer superior and nothing can happen, which resulted in the short war that was forcibly stopped by west and borders realigned in favour of czechoslovakia as they were de facto victorious and actually justified. Nonetheless lets not repeat any shit like that with our neighbours and stay friends.

It's the same convoluted pseudo-history as Romanians trying to draw ancestry from Dacians, or Hungarians from Huns for that matter
