I have the ball winder; hubby likes winding for me. One day, he saw me watching you and Mr. BOD with your new swift. He finished watching, went straight to Amazon and ordered the swift! When it arrived, he had to "show" me how to use it! Thank you Crystal, for inspiring me (and the hubby) to try things I never thought of doing before. You're amazing.

Until very recently, I did not even know these "necessities" existed. 😂 The knitting machine isn't all the way cheating... sewing machines do what used to all be done by hand. Thanks, Crystal, for showing us your cool tools! 💜

Hi Crystal the 4 items you showed could you show how they work. I stay away from the hanks because I have Arthur on my life 🤣 and winding gets hard sometimes so just ignore. Also I just can't do 2 needles too old to try now. 😄 Thank U so much for being you. ❣

      Yeah me too. Isn't wonderful?
I stopped crocheting for several years 30 to be exact. I found crochet tutorial and was aammaazzeedd. So I started back up last year. But it's hard for me to actually get any work done because I take care of my 35 yr old daughter who was run over by a drunk driver. And she was left with the mentality of a 3 yr old child. So needless to say she knocks on her beside table when she needs me even if she doesn't. Lol but omg I can't even take a shower because she calls me every 5 min. But anyways to the point since I tend to her all day with her feelings and her meds etc needless to say that if I can find something to make my life easier than I go for it. And lets see I have 18 grandchildren and 3 greatgrandkids. My grandkids are like grama can you make me a dress or grandma can you make me a beanie or scarf. And I just can't tell them no but they are aware that it may take some time since crocheting is very time consuming. I am now bigger down with making purses dresses beanies and scarface and phone bags. Ah but I do love each and every one of my grandkids. Great grandkids are 2,1 and 1 months. So for now its things my grandkids are asking for. Thank you for showing your addie and you said in your video that it was cheating I said no way and I'm sure you can agree with me that crocheting takes a toll on your hands and eyes. But now I can get them what each one has asked me for quicker. Crocheting one thing can take me maybe 2 wks. if not longer. I will definitely buy myself an addie and all the gadgets you have shown us today. I was definitely amazed at how quick this machine can be. So again thank you!!!!
Will definitely put your video in my crochet lovers file.🙂🙂

Not that it's better but I prefer a Swift that is freestanding. Meaning it doesn't have to be screwed onto a table ledge. Knitting machines, certainly have a purpose for mass production and for you to demonstrate yarn worked up.A drill to make that step go quicker is a great idea. The item is still made by a machine hand cranked or drill and efficiency is necessary if donating large quantities. I would not sell a garment though made by machine if I am submitting handmade work to either a shop or craft fair. Tools of the trade I think we all can agree there are not enough hours in our day as artisans, designers, crafters etc.I'm happy to hear you have discovered some tools to make your life easier!!!!!

I love the power drill idea, I'm 68 and have a lot of lithium battery tools I love, my 4" chainsaw, garden pruners, ñgarden shears, a weed eater, and now even a snow shovel! I have Fibromyalgia and also a bad back with 2 failed back surgeries so I can't lift heavy gas operated equipment and these batteries last 4 hours ! I've recently picked up a crochet hook (a set that was my grandmother's). St. Jude Children's research hospital is having a knitting /crochet fundraising event in March and I thought even though I haven't crocheted in YEARS, I would like to try to participate as this is a charity that is near & dear to my heart & one that I truly believe in. I began searching videos and came across your channel. You have helped me to 'remember' some of the things that my grandmother taught me. I've been crocheting away for a bit over a week and am about 1/3 of the way done with a lap blanket that I've decided to make. When I take a break, I look at many of your videos and have done more research about crochet. I've seen stitch counters / apps and also place holders. I've searched your videos but don't see any mention of such items ... I wondered it you used them and what your thoughts were on these helpers. Also, if you do use, which would you recommend? Finally - thank you so much for your well-done and easy to follow videos.

"More Power!" LOL. Oh Crystal, you are so funny. You made my day with your power drill. You reminded me of Tin Alen on Home Improvement. I told my dad about you using the drill and his eyes bugged and he laughed too. You are wonderful! Thanks for making my day,

This is a light and fun. I have a small Swift and I also just got a wood ball winder. One must up grade the tools you use in crafting. Thanks for this fun video.😂

When you pulled out the drill with adapter, all I heard was the song by Snap... I’ve got the power. 😃 we like working smarter not harder although some habitats are hard to break... Find I end up using the back of chair more than I’d like to admit.😂
