Hello, nice summary. I also lost smell after Covid in september last year. I only smell for few minutes after I am running or after cardio excersises, otherwise no smell at all. Do you have some idea what I colud do to regain smell ? BR Jani
I've had loss of smell for a month after COVID. I can faintly smell certain essential oils if I hold them close to my nose, but it's muted from what it used to be.
I'm sorry to read that. I am seeing some patients too with a prolonged sense of smell deficit beyond one year. Do have a look at the resources included in the description of this video - hopefully they can help. If not, do seek the advice of your doctor.
I have started using a neti pot and it works really well. Please look at TH-cam videos to,show how to do this as it can be very uncomfortable , even traumatic if not done correctly ! I am also doing smell training , I use 6 different scents. At present that smell of smoke is something I smell though out the day. I originally lost my sense of smell with a chest infection about 2 months ago, however I could still taste things, Recovered from the chest infection and then got covid and now I can’t smell or taste things. I have to eat strong foods to get any enjoyment , like marmite, and salty things. Not really healthy but what else can one do . 😔
I blew my nose too hard and now I’m going through this. So annoying
Thanks,Video was so informative.
