The disinterest in Leeds then was reflected in the unpopularity of the game as a whole at the time. The country seems football mad now and punters pay a fortune to watch their teams whereas at that time it was probably about a grumbling quid to stand and watch Leeds. Leeds are a classic example that you should never take the good times for granted. Great addition to series once again. There is nothing better on You Tube.

Gosh I remember the Arsenal FA Cup marathon and the problems at Derby so well, but this documentary is so well researched that it goes deep into the heart of these events. It is also intriguing to see rare club footage such as the Grimsby and Palace matches as well as the goals from the FA Cup 4th Round replay v Arsenal at Elland Road. The latter is something I have not seen since 1983.

That season was when I went to most matches as a late teenager. Remember being in the South Stand when Rox scored. We were screaming at Lukic to get across his goal, as we could see a huge gap. Got to Nottingham when the Arsenal replay was postponed and went down again I think it was the next day. Moved to London from Leeds in 1985. Wonderful stuff lufcfilms.

Apart from the Derby play-off 2nd leg, I don't think I'd ever felt as disappointed at the final whistle when Rix scored that equaliser. I was in south stand top tier (first row) and didn't see the ball go in, just the net bulge. And to lose the toss for the replay was salt in the wound.
