    That's it! Finally! The sound in my ears is gone! Completely masked. Strangely...I think I can still "feel" it if that makes sense? But this video is probably going to play by my bed every night unless someone finds a cure for tinnitus. Thanks so much!

      @user-rr7bv6my4e Pretty sure it was extremely loud dance music at the club in the 90s. A handful of exposures, but I first noticed the ringing around that age. It's all I can think of.

      I am using this sound for 2-3 years and be calm, reducing the level of tinnitus from 5-6 to 2-3 on my left ear and lower to zero on the right one. I hear for 10 minutes every day 1-2 times. After a few days I stop hearing and repeat some minutes when the tinnitus becomes louder. Its a bless.. In parallel I am using, some times, drops from laurel. Use it with good quality headphones to hear better more frequencies and a bit loud. Negative factor is the alcohol. After some wine, the tinnitus is coming back slowly louder. i informed a friend and he had also the same good results. And today maybe we have much more patients with tinnitus, by coincidence, after the appearance of Covid and its vaccines.

    I was looking for a different kind of cricket sound, and this is the most magnificent of them all. I know that some of the tinnitus sounds that have been uploaded are said to be more beautiful than others, but this is the most perfect sound that I have heard and Believe it or not, for those who suffer from tinnitus like me and To people who suffer from tinnitus, believe it or not, I utilize sound therapy to diminish the sound of my tinnitus. Caffeine has been shown to increase tinnitus. I'm also quickly upset when I'm annoyed, anxious, or unhappy. One reason for controlling your tinnitus is to learn to control your emotions. I wouldn't say I've completely healed from my tinnitus, but there has been some progress.

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Great experiential input regarding tinnitus. Thanks for that and the good word on the sound. Caffeine is tough to let go of from my experience. Controlling emotions is something I’ve been working on as well.

      Thanks. I’ve been really stressed out for several months with a pile on of bad things happening, and my tinnitus is louder and more annoying than ever. I really have to spend some time getting my stress levels down, and controlling my emotions, especially annoyance.

      @texyat7388 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dalesnale I am curious about the “controlling your emotions” part. What is the correlation between stress and tinnitus? Is it that stress increases tinnitus or is it that tinnitus increases stress? Is it a combination of both? Can limiting caffeine decrease tinnitus or does it have to be completely eliminated to cause a decrease in tinnitus? Thanks.

    I came for my tinnitus. I'm staying because this is a time machine.
    I'm 9. It's 1984. I'm at my grandparents laying on cool line dried cotton sheets. With little yellow flowers. The windows are open. I'm in Brevard North Carolina. The safest place I knew when I was 9. I'm squeaky clean and in the softest pajamas. My hair is still wet from the tub. I was told the bugs were arguing. Whether Katy did or didn't.
    This is so much more than a tinnitus help, of which.. I keep turning this off to see where my ring is hanging out.. Which cricket sings like my right and which one sings like my left. Because they are different... I can relax.. And it never gets old. Heck... I can't even find the loop.. It's there even looping or is this continuous cause I always notice. Spectrum is fun with audio play. That's why I'm here. Big bass box go boom long time. (thank you this is everything.)

    I live in the country with woods all around me. The crickets are loudest in August and September some even carrying through the first part of October. Besides thunderstorms, the sounds of the crickets is my favorite. It completely masks the loud constant ringing in my ears that I have had for most of my life. I have made several 4 hour long high quality digital recordings of nighttime summer sounds, mostly crickets and cicada loudly singing their nigh-time songs. Those recordings are great to listen to over the winter months. That recorder is also on when a strong thunderstorm rolls through my area. In a Vally with mountains on either side of me the thunder sounds fantastic. My only downside in recording here is the road several hundred feet from the front of my home but the noise of an occasional car breaks the perfection of my recordings. Well you cant have everything. So listening to a good thunderstorm is a great thing to listen to during the winter months. Lots of good thunderstorm videos on TH-cam but the majority of them are on a loupe so they are only 5 to 10 minutes long in reality. Thanks for all you do in making your great videos. 😁👍

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Yes, lots of man made things interrupt, and there is always the search for the pure moment. The hiss of the recorder at lower volumes used to be quite and issue that has improved with 32 bit recorders. I'm always running for the mics when it rains. :)

    wow, masks very well, is very close to the pitch of the noise in my head.
    I love the sound of crickets, perhaps even a few minutes of relief from the non stop siren in my head head is why I smile when I hear their chorus in the night and love to sleep with windows open when weather permits.
    Funny thing is that I was looking for sleep sounds and was going to order a few boxes of live crickets to release around my property.
    They eat rotting vegetation, become part of the food chain and their song helps mask night time traffic and incidental human noise.
    edit: throw in a faint crackling fire and agreat horned owl's call every few minutes and there's the typical warm weather night under the stars in the Southern Arizona desert.

Once you understand it you can actually turn it up turn it down make it in one ear or the other or both. Just remember whatever you push against you get more of including vibe

    I've had tinnitus for twenty years, it was low level and not bothersome at all. Unfortunately I developed an ear infection recently that has sent my tinnitus to a whole new level. Who'd have thought the sound of Crickets would bring relief to the relentless sound in my heasd but thankfully it does. I'm experimenting with your other sounds many of which also work. Many thanks.

      Thanks for the suggestion. Noise has 2 definitions. The first is a sound that has no pitch or tone. In the acoustic world there are only two types of sound, those with pitch and those with noise. The second definition is a sound that is a disturbance. The channel uses the first definition. I see the confusion in the titling, yet the channel has mostly electronically created sounds that are indeed noise like Pink Noise and Green Noise. I am open to more ideas :)

      There must be a way to lower a phones volume in system preferences under 'sound' iPhones have a pull down screen swiping from the top center. and volume buttons on the left side of the device. If your device is a different brand, search under "volume control" for your device and there should be a video showing how to do it. Most listeners ask for louder volumes. :) Thank you for listening.

      I was already at the minimum volume. My previous phone had very loud minimum volume. But my new phone is more balanced and I can find a suitable volume now.

    How long do I have to listen to this and also do I put it louder than my tinnitus noise in order to mask it?

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  ปีที่แล้ว

      The mixing point of the introduced sound is best slightly below the level of the ringing. Most people listen for an hour or less.

    Please update the title Cricket sounds instead of noise. This is more positive.

    I'm kind of old school and want to listen to this on a loop with my iPad. The download button is not on this page (I have a subscription to TH-cam Premium) and I was wondering if there was a website with free downloads that you post these videos on?

    I really fail to see what the advantage is your just replacing one noise for another. Yeah you cancel out the ringing in the ear but you still have to ringing in your ear and the blocking noise?

    • @dalesnale
      @dalesnale  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a bit counterintuitive. The “T” sound the mind creates is a sort of autocomplete loop that won’t easily shutoff. The brain is good at simplifying incoming stimulus but for many, the “T” is stuck loop of this sound. By introducing a new slightly different sound the mind may let go of the autocomplete sound for many listeners. It does not work for every type of tinnitus and the reason for having it should be checked out.

    If you count how many times a Cricket chirps in 15 seconds, multiple that times 3 and it will give you the exact temperature in Fahrenheit.
