For someone just starting out, as in, doing the star chart and intro quests, I have 2 frames that carried me. My first frame was Yareli. Really simple. Press 3 and walk near enemies. If they're level 30 or below, they just died. If you want to not have a crap time as a beginner, do NOT try to chase mods. You want an easy to use frame that isn't complicated that needs any mechanics. Yareli was this. Press 1, bubbles grab enemies. Press 2 to go zoom. Press 3 for damage. Press 4 to run out of energy but also do alot of damage. But, pressing 3 was easy enough to keep up all the time. Second, the frame I used when not using Yareli was Gara. I built tanky. As a new player, if you do somehow find a guide that understands that you aren't even 100-500 hours in yet, Gara will save you. Before level 30, your wall is basically invincible. From 30-60 (near end of star chart) you are still able to use it like you used to. I actually cleared my first steel path missions with tank Gara. She also made the open world content doable for me. As a new player, you likely won't have many great sources of damage or you'll still use melee as a crutch. My third warframe I mained was Protea, because I thought the 2.5k shields were strong, and knowing she had lategame potential helped too. Her 4 and span 2 combo was great for nuking. She was also one of the first 'cool' warframes I used. Infinitely useful, use what you want of course, but very up front about her abilities. Lategame I don't use her but you can, its just sort of dumb because you're still using Rolling Guard more than her 1 for survivability. Fourth, and I'm skipping a few, but I use this frame to this day: Wisp. No explanation needed. Wisp is the first frame I built 'properly' and carved out my own high level, niche playstyle for. She's useful though for tough content and while I'm sure there are 100 ways you could play her, I leaned hard into her passive with my playstyle and weapon choice.
When I speed ran to jupiter star rail as rhino I got slapped around found out doing it as Excalibur who I thought was just beginners bad I was wrong it's just how you play I back stabbed and easily beat that enemy. So this proves my mindset on warframe is pretty basic my dream warframe I wish to get is atlas or nekros I just love anything with minions however I have the feeling I need alot of certain mods for them.
Nekros is good, atlas is fun. With atlas his mods basically turns him into his “minions” so you’re fine. With nekros, in order to get damage reduction, meaning your damage goes straight to the things you spawned. So nekros, since you like having minions, a mod would help with nekros’ survivability.
