Wonderful! But credit to the interviewer for not fawning all over the great man, but for asking him the ordinary, banal questions which anyone of us would want to ask!
This amazing man is full of hiding (like little secrets) of rooms he wants to keep hidden or at least not seen. Love his style. He's a person I'd like to be friends with.
His attitudes about style, and that it needn't be costly, has always been refreshing. But you do have to have the talent and eye that he has to make that work.
Thanks for watching Kate. It's always fascinating to see inside other people's homes! Let us know whose home you'd be interested to see for the next 'Ministers of the Interior' episode
I've always enjoyed listening to this dear man , he's pretty earthy and fascinating all at once ! One of England's Treasures , without a doubt . Rock on Nicky 👌🏼 Thank you so much for this one 💝
I'm sad in a way that he is leaving the 'Folly' ( Hunting Lodge ) and selling off his lovely things ,,, but he is right to move on and change. Love you Nicky
I have JUST come across this interview with Mr. Haslam and thought the Gent who conducted the interview was informed, educated, and not imposing. Such a civilized and relaxed discourse in these less-than-(shall I say?) civilized times. F. (I should like to know who the interviewer was...? )
Not really. It was when he was a child but since the 70s at least most children in Britain with wonky teeth have them sorted, certainly among the middle classes, from the lower middle upwards.
I'm glad to hear it. So often on programs like Antiques Roadshow and ones where people want to buy property, you can see that they are missing most or all of their back molars. If they get money from selling on Flog It, they say they will use it to go on a vacation rather than get badly needed dental care. I was in London and also saw the ''no back teeth'' phenomenon and wondered how they chewed food.
fran mellor Then the natural teeth God have you should be beautiful, well kept. In America, Denistry starts at a very young age and continues through life. Teeth that are crooked are straightened and keeping them their natural color instead of yellow or brown is something everyone, including the poor, does. There is no excuse for British people’s teeth to look like that. I’ve seen aristocrats with brown and black crooked molars that look horrible, looking down their noses at others. Your attitude of that acceptance is the part of British condescension and snobbery which sorely need correcting, not to mention your teeth.

I will have to see more of his work to form an opinion but, the work of his "blabbing mouth" about the Duchess of Sussex was unnecessary nor asked for. Friend of Charles? Then don't trash Charles' daughter-in-law. If you must do it Nicky, have enough class to not say it to the media. It's tacky and beneath you.
fran mellor Then he should all the more be ashamed. Taking hits at someone who hasn’t done anything to you is not admirable. One just come off looking like a jackass.

You cannot not love Nicky, he is fun and down to earth and his books are wonderful ,,,

I adore this man's attitude to interior decoration.
Thank you Nicky.
Kind regards

"You can buy style but not taste " True!
Nicky is the nicest human being you could possibly meet. xxx Jan

Full of fun and full of wisdom. Delightful guy. He could hang up his decorating biz and just become a life coach any day.

What a fascinating , inspiring man. Everyone’s dinner guest.
What an amazing man. The boundary's that stop us are only created in ourselves. He clearly embraces new ideas.
I have many of his books and have followed his work carefully. He is an inspiration to all of us.
You can buy taste, but you can't buy style. Love it.
Lol in this case really a good comment 😂u can't buy taste only styles :-)))))

Alexander Gilmour, as per this video's description
Finding this artist made my day and life. Thank you
So unique and very inspiring!
Mr. Nicky I love the way you set out all your thinks of people you like that show you are a very carrying man.
What a life!
“...let’s have a donut.”
Right? And in the last video by H&H he talks about "munching." This man has a good metabolism!
Merci, Nicky! Delicious...
Although I’ve never been to this place, I can tell that it is my favorite place in the world!
Big fan!!!!
Super👍🌟💛 💐
It is quite rude, when in the company of a bit of an icon, to ask about all the icon’s iconic friends. NH is very patient.
Charming guy but despite all the notariety, parties and aquaintances he seems so lonely.
Can't hugga, mugga, today! Table for ten, but 3 distanced 6 ft apart. Haha. Is Isolationism, IN?
smoke on lovie !
Terrible lungs, Beware of the heavy wheeze. Nice man. Cool attitude.
That thought occurred to me too, he might be/have been a heavy smoker/drinker
The Emperor's new clothes!
Terrible bombastic overload.

What a shame he wasn't able to get his teeth straightened as a child. The British attitude towards dentistry is appalling.

We are not as a nation Vain people and natural teeth what god gave us is perfectly fine to me

He is related to the royals and an aristocrat including HRH Diana princess of Wales

He said nothing negative about her-only about the rest of her family, excluding Doria.
