Okay this actually looks a lot better than I thought it’d be
Honestly, they casted Ryle and Atlas the opposite of how I imagined them in the book but this looks well done. Can't wait to see it!
I am so excited for this. This book does not romanticise abuse. It talks about how people face with abuse and how hard it is for a person going through this. I loved this book so much.
Maybe not this one, but her others do. Not going to support, especially after her defending her son’s actions.
Someone want to spoil the entire book for me please and thank u I’m not going to watch this
@@Bunny11344 Lily Bloom (yes that's her actual name) opens a flower shop but it's supposed to be edgy which is so stupid because it's flowers. Anyways, she meets Rile and they start dating and she becomes very good friends with his sister. She also finds or is rereading her diary from when she was a teen and is remembering Atlas who was a homeless kid that lived in an empty house near hers and so she'd let him in to shower and things like that and they fell in love. In the present day, She's dating/married to Rile but bumps into Atlas who now owns a restaurant and all those feelings come flooding back. Rile is abusive and Atlas is super sweet but she loves Rile and finds out she's pregnant. She keeps bumping into Atlas and they rekindle their friendship and then eventually Lily decides to leave Rile because she doesn't want her baby to grow up with an abusive dad and it ends with her bumping into Atlas again with the insinuation that she's free of Rile and can now be with the good guy. There's a lot of abuse that happens that I'm glossing over but she gets hurt physically a lot and this book is attempting to say that's not ok, we're breaking the cycle (it ends with us). Which is all fine and dandy but in the sequel, she's apologizing for Rile's behavior and wants her kid to have a dad and the whole "he's never hurt the baby so it must be ok" mentality she has is awful. The book doesn't romanticise abuse, but it does say it's ok as long as you're not abusing a kid.
The first book doesn't, but the sequel sure does have Lily apologizing for it and saying eh it's ok that's he's an abuser because he never hurt our baby and I want him to know his child, which is disgusting.
@@Bunny11344 Spoilers.......
Basically Lily Bloom (yes that's her name and she opens an "edgy" flower shop) grew up in an abusive household and fell in love with a homeless kid at her school and her dad beat him up when he found them in bed together and she never saw him again until she bumps into him at his restaurant but she's married to Rile who is also abusive and now she's rereading her high school diary (which is her writing letters to Ellen DeGeneres...) and being reminded of how great Atlas was (homeless kid) but then gets pregnant with Rile's kid. He abuses her, she eventually leaves him and it ends with her running into Atlas again now that she's single. The sequel apologizes for Rile's behavior and basically says it's ok that he's abusive because he never hurt his kid.
It seems good but honestly that wasn’t what I was expecting atlas to look like at all
Omg me too! I was like, eh? That's not what u looked like in my head. Lol
Henry Cavill would be great 🤭👀
I agree I felt like Ryle blonde hair kid of short umm I felt like they mixed the actors up with Ryle and Atlas
@gracebediako8357 Yes, I thought the same thing. 🙄🤷♀️
Omg right! My biggest thought😭
Trailer gives away the whole story 😂
I agree. I was like, so we just got like 90% of the story. I'm still gonna see it though, lol
I’ll prob skip it someone want to spoil for me completely feel free
@@Bunny11344the trailer showed everything except she ends up going back to her first love in the second book
the book gives away the whole story
Good thing too!
I am beyond excited for this movie. I just know I am going to be obsessed. I read the book a year ago and it is what got me into reading. My personal opinion is that she doesn’t romanticize abuse she tells it how it is from someone’s perspective who is so blindly in love with an abuser. Of course this is just how I feel and I felt like sharing it.
and she actually BREAKS the cycle!! If she never tried to do that, then it would be romanticizing abuse. But she does the right thing for herself and for her daughter. It’s a great book, and I’m soo excited for this movie!
@@brileehenry4161 Yes 100% it is so strong of her to realize the wrongs in the relationship and it shows a great example to girls or guys who are going through that, that you can overcome it and that it doesn’t define you and you are very powerful and are capable of holding your own.
Also read the book last year. I found it mind blowing and relational abuse was properly and truthfully written. As someone who was abused by a partner, I can relate to Lily. Can't wait to watch the movie. Plus it's Blake lively! oMggggg
Please don’t add in the parts where she is writing letters to Ellen
Frrr
I actually like the diaries.
I grew up with my stepfather abusing my mom he was an alcoholic. He’s now sober and doesn’t abuse her but I do believe stories like this need to be told this preview brought up feeling !!!
Jesus defeated the devil when he rose concurring the punishment of the sins of the world. he loves you and now there is a way with reptance give him a chance ❤
Honestly, it looks good. But that's not how I pictured Atlas. I could easily picture Theo James.
Let’s not forget the fact Lily was 15 when she met atlas HE WAS 18
Meanwhile, Blake Lively is five years older than Brandon Sklenar.

they;re going to spoil the DV in the trailer? that's certainly a choice wtf
Here for Wrexham A.F.C
omgggg
I wish they had cast younger actors no offence tho when i read the book i remember they're at their twenties
I was not too fond of this book. I'm embarrassed that I took the time to read this trash.
Honestly atlas was a billion times better of the choice in actors
Except there isn’t a situation where she’s disabled by long covid
Wow! People in the comments are really superficial and even racist. Regardless how it was described in the book or what you imagined, that’s no excuse. Why can’t brown men get the same support that brown women get these days? As is, while progress has been made when it comes to diversity/inclusivity in female lead roles, which is good, notice how most male lead roles are still predominantly with white guys. Even couple movies, regardless the race of the girl, are usually paired with a white guy. In fact, most movies and shows have been mostly only promoting white man with brown woman couples the past years, and rarely is it the other way around. And now it’s got society brainwashed to only see white men with brown women couples as normalized or even idolized, meanwhile brown men with white women couples are looked at as “taboo”. It also seems like those are the two types of people that have been getting the most hate lately, brown men and white women. Why does everything have to be about white guys with blue eyes? Meanwhile it’s considered “unrealistic beauty standards”, “shallow” or “racist” if someone demands a white girl with blue eyes. They barely cast white girls with blue eyes anymore anyway. But society is probably not ready for this whole conversation.
Taylor please never collab with CoHo

I’m sorry! The actors maybe great but my imagination was way too better and beautiful.
honestly so disappointed that we’ve reached the point where the movie industry is now relying on adaptations for their ideas. BOOKTOK adaptations at that. don’t get me wrong, I love Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, but adapting a Colleen Hoover book where all she’s ever known for is romanticizing toxic and abusive relationships is so disappointing. So many young people already read her novels and now having her media in a more accessible format just makes it easier for more people to romanticize unhealthy relationship habits. wish i could say smth else but I’m rlly just disappointed and upset but this choice. nothing I can do besides not watch the movie and see people obsessively fawn over it.
Girl, you prolly haven't read her books, and i love how ur like "she romanticizes toxic relationship abuse" girl that is the complete OPOSSITE from what rlly happened in the book, she literally lived him so much yet her hurt her and he gave her the reason why yet she left him and took her baby girl from him and took a new start yet that's called romanticizing abuse? To me that's the complete opossite, she literally broke free from him and even tho she loved him, she didn't give abuse a chance, so how is that "romanicizing it?
Genuinely curious, how is she romanticizing it? The book showed how hard it was for her to leave and she ultimately did.
I will admit, It Ends With Us is one of her not so worse books that doesn’t romanticize toxic traits as much. I was more so referring to her writing as a whole over all her span of books. While this one may not do it so much, her other ones surely do. I’m sorry if I don’t align with your support for her media, but I’m simply just not a fan of Hoover’s beliefs, work, or any by-product that comes from it.
@@lafoutloud07 i honestly have more to say because I've read every book of hers and NONE align with your statement of "romanticizes abuse/toxicity" and even if there was any toxicness in any of her book couples they alwaya got resolved it wasnt a toxic relationship by tge end of any of her books OTHER than november 9 i just feel like thw guy didnt deserve the girl at the end. But it's your opinion and it won't affect me in any way so I'll just stop here
Ahh yes once again Prude’s are mad at a movie that women actually want to see get off your high horse and stop interfering with movies that people actually want to see!!
This sucks
You suck
*_Coming soon to Lifetime™. Another harrowing tale of love, lust and abuse. Men are terrible. Stick around for MUCH more of the same. It never ends._*

Looks terrible 🗑️
Taylor swift’s music actually ruins the trailer(leave her music for silly teen dramas) Otherwise looks good.
No it doesn’t snob it fits the trailer perfectly and if you understood the complexity of the song itself you wouldn’t say that pick me snobs are the worst but what can we do with such idiots like you!
