You should really read about the thing he talked about instead of taking his word for it. He massively oversimplifies and misrepresents it to make it sound worse. It's standard fearmongering. CBP One facilitates legal processes. Applicants have to be screened. It doesn't just freely grant legal or asylum status.
Prices are high, but they are lower than when trump was in office. Lumber is much lower than it was under trump. Groceries are also lower. I had to pay $8 for a dozen store brand eggs. I'm now paying $3 for that same brand. My food budget can actually stretch the month now where as under trump, I had at least a weeks worth of days out of the month where I had to go without food at all because things were so expensive. I had to go to food pantries just to make sure I had at least enough for my son to eat. Thank God for free breakfast and lunch at school so he could eat.
To answer that question; Harris/Walz are in favor of regulating corporations' ability to price gouge on household necessities/groceries; something that they have been provably doing since the pandemic. Prices *did not* return to baseline after the supply chain issues resolved, all-the-while corporations have seen record profits. They *are* price gouging. Trump/Vance are in favor of further *deregulating* the corporate sector - as well as defunding consumer safety organizations. Trump/Vance also support a blanket tariff on Chinese imports, but with corporations *relying* on Chinese imports, that cost will simply be passed to consumers in order to maintain profits, *IN ADDITION* to an increase in sales tax, which will disproportionately effect lower and middle class families. Harris/Walz, on the other hand, want to increase tax revenue by ensuring the rich pay their fair share. In part through the implementation of a tax on unrealized capital gains. You may question whether or not that sounds fair, however unrealized capital gains can be weighted as collateral when securing financial loans, creating a tax-loophole for the ultra-wealthy. This loophole should be closed, and UCGs should be taxed accordingly. As for the money we've given to foreign countries, in Ukraine, that 'money' has taken the form of military stock. Surplus weapons and munitions- which were _already_ in the process of being replaced. But more to your point, Biden/Harris had (in 2021) authorized the investment of $1.2 trillion, into stateside infrastructure. Meanwhile, Trump/Pence stifled our initial response to the pandemic in 2020- *and* denied California federal assistance during the 2020 wildfires, all the while authorizing tax cuts for the ultra-rich. Now, I in no way take issue with you posing the question- However to me, the answer is obvious.

The two ladies from cbs are a disgrace. The way they are speaking to Vance, shows they don’t have a clue how to temper themselves. CBS bias strikes again with their passive aggressive tones
He outright said let’s study what’s going on and make an informed decision/look at other countries with large gun populations but minimal violence for their solutions. It’s logical and reasonable. I understand people’s arguments for unrestricted access and the ability to fight government tyranny/a majority of gun owners are responsible gun owners whether they’re enthusiasts (AR15 owners) or just needing protection. So while I understand one sides viewpoint, I personally think it’s entirely possible to have it both ways even if it does make it slightly more inconvenient. BUT, once again, I do understand the fear of the government using that restriction as a means to control people. So truthfully it comes down to trust in government. I wouldn’t fear a policy like that with a trustworthy government (I wouldn’t with 100% confidence say a Harris government is trustworthy) With one like a trump government(you might say Harris or democrat etc), I would fear it’s weapon used to disarm opponents as trump has a history of trying to enforce his viewpoint with muscle rather than listening to both sides. Should be obvious, the first part is what he said, the parts after are my personal opinion.
Ultimately, any policy that is effective at stopping people from obtaining illegal guns will necessitate making it at least slightly harder for normal people to obtain legal guns. Those two things are directly linked. You can't have one without the other. If you want totally unrestricted access to legal firearms, that's fine. But you do have to acknowledge that one of the tradeoffs will be making guns easy to obtain for criminals. You can say that's a trade-off you're willing to accept, but don't pretend it's a trade-off you don't have to make
@@Bertinator-nm9ld I pretty clearly stated exactly what you’re saying. Specifically about there’s way to allow people to get whatever firearm they want, but it would make it slightly more convenient. But there’s also a caveat that a corrupt government could weaponize that policy. So the true question is trust in government.

As a parent of two sons my biggest concern about our schools is not a school shooting. My biggest concern is that schools they are not giving our kids the education they need. In the early grades we should give our kids as much attention to Reading writing and arithmetic as possible. Early ages is when our children learn the most. That's when their brains developed and are able to hold the information which will allow them to succeed as they get older. More kids are dropping out of school and not getting a proper education. That's a fact. Don't get me wrong I am also concerned about school shootings. And it's unfortunate that we have grown into a society to where we have to lock our doors on schools.

You should really read about the thing he talked about instead of taking his word for it. He massively oversimplifies and misrepresents it to make it sound worse. It's standard fearmongering. CBP One facilitates legal processes. Applicants have to be screened. It doesn't just freely grant legal or asylum status.
I know one thing prices are high. Question is who. Will make the difference. We have given money to other countries but what about the home land?
Prices are high, but they are lower than when trump was in office. Lumber is much lower than it was under trump. Groceries are also lower. I had to pay $8 for a dozen store brand eggs. I'm now paying $3 for that same brand. My food budget can actually stretch the month now where as under trump, I had at least a weeks worth of days out of the month where I had to go without food at all because things were so expensive. I had to go to food pantries just to make sure I had at least enough for my son to eat. Thank God for free breakfast and lunch at school so he could eat.
To answer that question;
Harris/Walz are in favor of regulating corporations' ability to price gouge on household necessities/groceries; something that they have been provably doing since the pandemic.

At least he didn’t lie and make up crap throughout.
@@LVLexusI agree, I’m done with the “we’re not taking guns but…” BS, I want them to just say it like he does
He outright said let’s study what’s going on and make an informed decision/look at other countries with large gun populations but minimal violence for their solutions.
Vp Vance if you ever run for the president you got my vote.

Because MAGA is not the GOP. MAGA is an extremist right wing organisation planning for dictatorship in dividing the people and the world. Money men at work. Nothing else. Without MAGA it would no be necessary to moderate properly like this. Bring back the Grand Old Party. As you where.
If you want to solve the problem, tell the republican candidates to stop lying so much
Globalism/corruption
@@Strategic_Reformer What were the lies? I'll probably be waiting a while for you since they do no exist.
Debate was excellent. But moderators esp Margaret was terrible. She violated the rules. She must have been paid by Kamala team.
Or maybe she’s younger and just not the right fit for this type of job. Grace is a beautiful thing to give to someone.
@@MorgansBeauty22She's older than JD Vance
They really both went “look, we have common ground. We both hate it when children are shot to death in school.”
Harris team sounds to have no plan. I am switching and voting for TRUMP
you'd be glad you did
Same switching to Harris team sounds to have a better plan
@@jamessisoutham1466 lol whatever floats your lack of discernments
@@jamessisoutham1466What plan?
@jamessisoutham1466 it's just bidens plan but with more taxes. You really want that? If you do go for it but I think most people wnt real change and had better lives under trump
If he says 'hey look' one more time... This was a disaster for Walz. Before this I was going to vote for him, but saying he's made friends with school shooters!!!. Wayyyyy past the line dude. I'll now vote for Trump.
I think he misspoke
Walz isn't a great debater, and I am sure he misspoke, but if that line is all that swayed you, you should rewatch the Presidential debate.
@@adoraperson3833 if you believe he misspoke then there's no hope for you sorry.
@@arnoldrimmer9161 if a slip up speaking is what makes you decide your vote there's no hope for you sorry
@@namelessman6257 🤣 it's not your fault 😆
Both of them were more likeable than their would be bosses. And the moderators did well too. Nice to see some civility in an election for a change.
lol that’s what i was thinking the entire debate. i thought they spoke better than the current candidates
Vance was so much sharper and well prepared. On point all the time
VANCE is just amazing!
I am a woman and I am definitely not voting for Kamala...!!
Trump 2024! 🇺🇸
This is probably the best debate I have ever listened to! They actually are debating and providing new information and explaining things! I wish we could pick these two to just run the country....
The moderators should be fired.
That's what a debate is supposed to look like. Congrats to both nominees.
My god not only is Vance smart but very handsome 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Do you think women will like that and vote for Trump/Vance or does abortion run their lives?
I think i just fell inlove with jd vance ❤
As a parent of two sons my biggest concern about our schools is not a school shooting. My biggest concern is that schools they are not giving our kids the education they need. In the early grades we should give our kids as much attention to Reading writing and arithmetic as possible. Early ages is when our children learn the most. That's when their brains developed and are able to hold the information which will allow them to succeed as they get older. More kids are dropping out of school and not getting a proper education. That's a fact. Don't get me wrong I am also concerned about school shootings. And it's unfortunate that we have grown into a society to where we have to lock our doors on schools.
Educate your own children then. Put in the time. The schools are there for socialization at best.
I would recommend home schooling through online courses
