Hi Jason from Ireland. That was a really great tip about taking your time while driving the motorhome. It can be hard sometimes to transfer your car driving technique to a motorhome - because that desire to hurry along always wants to creep in. We got our first motorhome one year ago and went to Germany to buy it. It’s a Hymer. It works well off grid with solar etc so whenever we can we avoid going to a site and this can save quite a lot of money also.
That is awesome. I've not heard of that brand. Just finished our longest drive yet. 3.5 hours in one day including driving through Atlanta, GA which is a very busy/heavy traffic city. Went well overall. Thankful that I didn't get stuck in stop and go traffic. It was a very tiring drive. Family had fun along the way.
@@poodledad Amazing. Yes Hymer are one of the most famous German brands and possibly the originator of the Motorhome. In Ireland we don’t have to cover the long distances as you would in the States. However, we are off for a month to France soon on our way south across the Pyrenees and into Spain. Will get a ferry from Ireland. We plan to drive along the famous Camino de Santiago or in English, the way of St. James, which goes to Santiago de Compostela. Check out the movie called The Way with Martin Sheen to get an insight into that. Good movie too.
What are some RV lessons you've learned?
