      The problem with people like Saurabh is that they are really gullible about stats and numbers. The formalization of the economy without a strong privacy law and the effective control of access to data has turned India into a wild west. We are already seeing the number of data thefts and digital crimes. Complete spike. This sugar coated story is a huge lie to the underlying instabilities that digital economies are creating. GST without a doubt created a funnel effect. Small guy katam and big players now are making mega bucks and total demand will not grow. We are headed towards a hugely unequal society and without proper institutional safe guards on data this will explode. Already you are seeing many people prepared to deal in cash. This guy is a Trojan horse.

      @@ladusingh2141 don't agree at all with you. The successful GST implementation across the nation has made it almost mandatory for all businesses to work in the formal sector forcing smart people to use their intellect in appropriate ways rather than finding loopholes in the tax system to rob rupees off the exchequer. If as a country we only have a handful of people who want to be clean & compete in the market, so be it! This will change & influence good behaviour while being a huge enabler for FDIs. Am confident in the long run the formal sector will have diversity in participation from all sections in society as long as the spirit of the Indian entrepreneur lives on & continues to be the one huge differentiator between us as people & the rest of the world!

    • @ladusingh2141
      @ladusingh2141 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@venkatpisipaty2045 I am happy to debate with you at length but let us get the facts right. Formalization is benefitting whom ? Have you see the Oxfam report of 2022, which the Indian Modani led government is unofficially banning. There is a huge transfer of wealth from the small business to a few huge conglomerates. The rise of Adani and Amabani is only possible if the dice is loaded in their favour. If Rationalisation was really what formalization was about, I would be all for it. What we are really seeing is an attack on the innovative and competitive abilities of the small and medium businesses. This Saurabh is arranging the facts to fit his politics. If you wipe out demand because of concentration you are making India more vulnerable. Wake up.

    • @venkatpisipaty2045
      @venkatpisipaty2045 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ladusingh2141 again sorry but do not agree with you at all. The wide majority of smaller businesses getting wiped out are the ones we do not need in the country. These are shameless, lazy, conniving businesses that use their intellect to only steal tax money. I know of a number of these players who survived on tax payers money to make their lives richer - no different from corrupt politicians! While such players are being wiped out by the hundreds on a weekly basis, the smart entrepreneurs who adopt fair means & have the stomach to compete in a real market, are also equally doing well. India has launched the highest number of new unicorns globally, in the last couple of years & this is also true. Lastly I do not need the Oxfams or the like to come & tell me what their view of our economy is when the countries who as per them are doing very well are seeing the winters of their glory days & have debt to gdp ratios that are amongst the worst in the world!

    B2B billing and invoice collection is a serious problem in India. GST compliance makes it a nightmare for businesses. Doing business with govts is very difficult, can easily bankrupt a company.
    Cash-and-carry B2C and C2C businesses are suitable for using UPI for payments. Paying for products and services to be delivered in the future is a risk in India.
    Even the bribe at govt office can be paid by UPI.

    Reason: India is no more adviced by economists. Four of them, ( one of them, a Nobel prize winner ) reduced the Nation to a basket case like Venezuela and Sri Lanka. Economists are not taken seriously any more as they do not understand figures.. The Nation is now guided by Data Scientists. He has difficulty sdmitting that it has been the policies of the current Govt that rescued the Nation.

    Dunno what is to celebrate in small businesses getting wiped out. America was most prosperous when everyone in America prospered (post world war2). Wealth inequality in US began to emerge in 80s because small business started to grind downwards and corporates began to take over. And see where America is today...on the cusp of a long recession. We are following the same path. Look at how small businesses are struggling because of excessive formalisation
