    What seems correct for promoters is correct for fund managers too. Fund managers who often come on TV, TH-cam and write books rarely make good wealth for their clients. Managers who sit quietly in their offices and make better investment judgements make superior returns.

    Marcellus pms schemes compounded returns since their inception vs average of top 100 mutual funds:
    1. Consistent compounders 16.6% / Mutual funds average 20.5%
    2. Kings of capital 11.3% / Mutual funds average 34.8%
    3. Little champs 19.0% / Mutual funds average 26.4%
    4. Rising giants (-11.0) % / Mutual funds average 17.6%
    5. Meritor Q 11.45% / Mutual funds average 18.5%
    Why should anyone invest in Marcellus which has not achieved returns in any of their PMS above the average of top 100 mutual funds?

    For folks who are confused and angry with Saurabh, let me clarify for you guys. I am not on his side by the way. He has experience in the markets enough to run his funds like the other mutual funds that are doing well. But he has discovered a safer way that is continuous but slow. Anyone who has read him knows how much he admires Dravid. He sees investing just like that, slow but consistent and never out of the game for this he targets cash machines like Pidilite and Asian Paints, which are Indian counterparts of Coca cola and Sees Candy in the US. In India, CCPs give about 20-25% CAGR over 10 years. Saurabh calls these cash machines, Warren calls these compounding machines.
    1. >10% revenue growth yoy
    2. FCF
    3. ROCE>Cost of K

    • @lluvia2736
      @lluvia2736 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      1. If someone buys well known franchise stocks at overvalued prices, it should not be considered a safe operation. Sure, because of moats of these franchise businesses, chances of them going bankrupt is negligible. However, there are still chances that overvalued stocks won’t move for 2, 3 or more years or they can go down and in these cases these stocks may fail to provide safety against opportunity cost of an investor.
      2. 20-25% CAGR which you mentioned is a “GAJAR” which is given by hypocrite fund managers to layman to increase their AUM. All Marcellus CCP stocks (Asian, berger, titan, nestle, pidilite, dr lal, divi’s, tcs, page) have grown their operating profits at below 20% CAGR in last 10 years and majority of them failed to improve their working capital cycle too in last 10 years. Then from where this 20-25% number came? FCF can grow above operating profit growth if working capital cycle reduces or if ROCE of business improves and none of which has improved in case of majority of CCP stocks in last 10 years. The only reason you see FCF above 20% in some companies is because they did lesser capital expenditure as a percentage of their profits and gave more dividends which have resulted in faster FCF growth. But as these companies will distribute more of their profits, their growth will also slow down which will at the end reduce FCF growth in future.
      3. Saurabh Mukharjea uses warren buffet as a shield when he underperforms. In his initial videos which are on youtube, he said like “India me koi paisa nahi kama paoge warren buffett padhke.” How can you compare buffett who has stayed disciplined about his purchase price all his career with saurabh mukharjea who believes that all these well-known companies are always available undervalued?

    • @aurelian9817
      @aurelian9817 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lluvia2736 Thank you for your deep insight, I should've also mentioned that personally if someone purchases these CCP companies, PLEASE DONT BUY AT ANY PRICE. I have always bought companies after a crash or so when they were available at a discount. And the argument regarding the operating profit, yes, % wise it doesn't grow, but since the revenue of the company goes up yoy (above 10%), everything increases at a new level. After that since the operating profit margin stays above 15% and ROCE stays above 20%, it is monumental for Indian companies. And the revenue of these compounding machines are guaranteed because of their moats. Thus the cycle is complete and rest is in the hands of the traders, since they become the most disruptive companies in disguise, they have historically grown like 20-25% in the Indian share market (no one can guarantee the future, that's the fund manager's job not mine). I only learn from Saurabh but don't completely subscribe to his ideology. That's why I have bought more Relaxo shares after he sold them. I know for sure that these companies will ensure the highest growth for my wealth vs any other form of investment in India, now it can be 15%, 20%, 30%, so on.

    • @piyush7700
      @piyush7700 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only marcellus stock which gave 20% PAT growth in last 10 years is HDFC Bank. The rest - Asian paints, Berger, pidilite have below 15% earnings growth. However, the stock price has given 20% plus kind of return. What you gotta remember is - in the long term, stock prices always follow earnings and the last 10 years his hasn't happened 🤐

    • @aurelian9817
      @aurelian9817 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@piyush7700 that is because metrics don't follow market sentiment in absolute terms. Moreover PAT doesn't mean much if it isn't a compounding machine (ROCE>Cost of K), We are mostly concerned about EBIT. In the US ROCE above 10% is what most companies can do barring a few. In our country CCPs make around 20%. Think of it as a rank rather than a number game, More Revenue, More ROCE, More free cash, better compounding, now it can be 15% or 30% share price increment, that no one can tell. And don't compare with the index, because the index is a ranking, where the best automatically gets counted. Over 10 years, the idea might work, let's see...I would personally be the owner of the best businesses in the world than giving my money to the bank so that some guy can buy a TV with it...
