I love how the remixes of anarchy rainbow work. In the chorus of the regular version it uses major intervals, in the Splatoween version it uses minor intervals, and for springfest it’s major again, but also has augmented intervals. It’s so fun!
Again, who has been in charge of designing? THEY DESERVE A RAISE!! Also, I love how Deep Cut and Squid Sisters have bright colors to fit with Spring but Off The Hook has more modern themes while still keeping it Spring-related. Who had the best assemble? A. Squid Sisters B. Off The Hook C. Deep Cut
For spring fest I have to go with Squid sisters, they are on theme with the bright colors but not too bright it burns my eyes, and I just love their song
All the outfits are good tbh The creative headpieces and rainbow pastels of Deep Cut, the hilarious egg hats and glittery dresses of the Squid sisters, and Pearl and Marina’s casual looking outfits that I would probably wear to just chill tbh
I love how Callie and Marie have variation in their dancing even though they’re doing the same thing For example sometimes their timing is different and they don’t do the exact same movements it just makes them feel so much more real
The Switch can only handle one transparent surface at a time, so if two transparent surfaces overlap, such as the bubbles and Deep Cut's shawls, only the one in front is rendered at all. You can pretty easily see this in Super Mario 3D World's final level, Champion's Road. During the water section, the clear pipe completely vanishes.
This happened with the Jellifish back when the game came out, this has been a known thing. It is funny to just see shiver's shawl vanish and pop back when it's so vibrant.

everytime i see callie and maries little costumes for the fests, i get all sappy. splatoon one never had fests, so its like they get to party with us for the first time!
I love Frye's design 😭 her dango earrings and the dango headpiece slightly bouncing on her head when she spins is so cute! I'd also like to mentions Callie's outfit which reminds me of cotton candy because of the colours. Overall, everyone had great designs in the end ❤

I just love how expressive marina and especially pearl are! It really shows their personalities and they just feel way more alive than the other idols doing their dance loops! I still love everyone else but i'm not surprised these two are fan favourites
One thing I love about splatfests are all the dances we see on day 2 - it feels so much more like a performance, more intricate than the ones we’ve seen before! (Idk how to put it, I don’t dance, but I like it a whole lot)
It’s interesting that, when you compare the two dances that were taken from older games (City of Color and Color Pulse) to the new Splatoon 3 dances, there is definitely a huge difference in the way that they move- it feels more fluid and with a lot more subtle detail in their motions. I’m willing to bet that the first two games’ dances were animated while the third game uses motion-capture of real dancers!

For the past 3 days, I've had my videos set to 1.1x speed and totally forgot about it and didn't notice at all until 3 seconds into Snake Mix and I was like "This is slighlty off-pitch." Splatty got that grip on my eardrums.
ooh, could you also make a video of the splatfest performances together with the rest of the plaza ambience (the fireworks and stuff)? i searched for that, because the atmosphere it makes in game is just amazing, and only found one old poorly cut video.

Has anyone else noticed that Frye and Shiver's Springfest outfits reference past Splatfests? Frye wears a dango hat (Team Sweet), while Shiver has a flowery theme (Team Grass). EDIT: I noticed other possible Splatfest references in the Squid Sisters outfits. (Callie vs Mari Splatfest had dialogue where Callie was on Team Marie and vice versa). OTH might also have a reference to one of their past Splatfests (Retro vs Modern which Modern won).

Ive said this before. Splatfests kinda stopped being special for splatoon 3. First the repeating colours, then the lack of glitter, anr then the removal of shifty stations (but this is understandable) But im very happy this splatfest was memorable for the music and special ink colours they gave us!
Frye is so freaking pretty in her Springfest design omg! 😭 I wish we had the option to keep the idols and their towns looking like how they did during the springfest. Those pretty pastels and bubbles were everything!
Whoever is in charge of outfit design needs a raise. So much creativity and off the hook looks absolutely amazing rocking the darker aesthetic
