ECML railtour variety - Midland HST, Tangmere & 57, Drax 50 years triple 66 & 69 - 17-18 Aug 2024

We spend some of the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, 17th & 18th August, catching the UK railtours and charters that visited the York area:
'The Cooling Tower Choppers' (Branch Line Society) with triple-headed class 66s and ‘Top’n’Tail’ with a class 69s (twice) on the Saturday;
Tangmere and its support coach off the Northern Belle ‘The Settle and Carlisle Steam Special’; also on the Saturday to form:
'The Waverley' (Railway Touring Company) ‘Top’n’ Tailed’ with its regular class 57 on the Sunday (twice);
‘Drax 50 Years 1974-2024: Team Red’ (Branch Line Society) with the triple-headed class 66s and the class 69 from Saturday (twice); and finally
the ‘West Highland Pullman: Day 3’ Midland Pullman HST class 43s.
Also featuring the following regular ECML DMU/EMU traction:
CrossCountry Voyager & Super-voyager;
LNER Azuma;
Grand Central Adelante;
Northern 3-car Civity.
Watch out for the bonus clip of a pair of class 37 Tractors working some wagons to Wembley (London) the following Wednesday morning (21st).
All filmed on the East Coast Main Line (ECML) south of York with an Android phone and an Insta360 Ace Pro (in 4K but the sound isn't the best).
